If you fry these Scroto sacs in olive oil it brings down the wrinkles to a point you can put them in your mouth without losing your mind.

Oh Tommy? What hath thou done with thine wings of chicken???! Yuk! Here's the thing, I've been buying these wings for 30 years. So, corporate events lots of people etc. Then Covid and I haven't been in 3 years. What's happened is they've gone to a heavy batter. It's like you took KFC home. and boiled it in water! Not good for texture, or making friends. Used to be a slight batter, if only a patina on the skin. These things are like an 80 yearold goats wrinkly ball sac. Also, no complimentary celery and carrots? Wait staff person said, 'oh we've never done that.' B S! They Always did this. Tommy, remind your staff of what it's like to produce quality? Otherwise, we're just going to get another pot shop on 28th Street. Your place=weed. Don't let this be.

Lots of customers no wait staff! No bartender!

I was a huge fan of John Brann's but my recent trip to Johnnys on 28th street was a huge disappointment. WATCH OUT FOR THE SURCHARGE TACKED ON FOR NO REASON EXCEPT THEY CAN! The restaurant was understaffed and we were on the point of walking out before the waitress brought our drinks. No bartender on duty. Their Veterans Day special was one choice, no substitution and I couldn't take it with me. As a stand alone take out order I could understand that but I bought 3 dinners and wanted to use my veterans status to take a meal to my veteran son who couldn't take time out for lunch. Will not bother to go again.

This was my first time at a Brann's and I went with some family for dinner on a Friday evening. The server was friendly and attentive to us so I really did appreciate that since they were pretty busy as the evening went on. The food was decent. Just a typical menu of pub/grill type food and it is likely that anyone could find something they may like. I went for the pretzel burger and it was HUGE and messy but pretty good. It was cooked medium be default. Everyone else's food at my table looked standard. Didn't care much for the fries and ranch that came on the side. The rolls they serve at the table with the cinnamon butter are so good and soft though. The food did come out pretty fast. They have TVs all around as well. A sports bar atmosphere leaning towards an older demographic and maybe some families that is just a step up from the typical national chain restaurant.

My husband and I came to Brann's for an impromptu date night dinner. My husband came here with his coworkers once and had nothing but good to say about it. I figured we could give it a try. I'm highly disappointed. Maybe preparation and food purchase has changed since Covid? Maybe more premise food ordered in and thrown in a deep fryer? I don't know but it was nearly inedible. The SALT content in all of this was excruciating!! I literally gained 5 pounds in a day from the water retention from all that salt! Not to mention neither of us finished our food, or took a take out box. This should have been the first sign that we didn't enjoy our food by the waitress. Well maybe she ignored it. Lastly, my husbands broccoli was so over cooked it fell apart on the fork. It was absolute mush!! I could have fed it to a toothless baby without purée. Food quality and freshness gains 1 star. Execution gains 3 stars because the fish and mozzarella sticks were crunchy and the steak temp was almost perfect. Service was pretty good other then not noticing that the food stunk. The waitress was clearly experienced and knowledgeable. She was also friendly and mostly attentive. Service gains 4 stars. Ambiance is typical of this style of dining experience, so it gains 4 stars. Cleanliness... sigh... something was dripping on the wall next to me. You know the old, been there a while, greasy drip on the paint that never gets washed? Yeah that... 2 stars. That gives this location an average of 3 stars.

    My "medium-rare" non-sizzling sizzling sirloin

They didn't earn 1 star, it's just the default. My sizzling sirloin came to the table cold with no sizzle from the metal severing plate. I asked for medium-rare but got a blue (less than rare). The only good thing to come to the table was the bread and fancy butter. It was a long day of travel and I just wanted to get back to the hotel to sleep so I just ate my steak. On a good note, I didn't get sick from undercooked meat.

I can't say this place is below 3 stars. When I came in, I was greeted ASAP and the service was great. I sat at the bar. The food came out the way o ordered and was lava hot so that added a star to me. I gave it 4 stars due to the lack of drink specials, non gluten options such as ciders, seltzers, etc. for people who get gout from different items, these are good options for them. The other issue I had was the lack of hot sauce. I'm from the south where hot sauces are eaten on cereal. Tabasco is a good sauce but it is not great. A better selection would be good. I may be too picky but it's my review so deal with it. Overall, I had a great experience and the staff was great.

If you are looking for a decently priced meal I would highly recommend checking out Brann's steakhouse. It is a steakhouse bar atmosphere with TVs on every wall to watch your favorite game. The service was incredible and fast. My husband and I split the 11oz steak and added 1 slab of ribs. The ribs were amazing! Smothered in bbq sauce and literally fall off the bone good. I also was obsessed with the loaded baked potato as a side. The 11oz was a huge THICK piece of meat. If you go with the steak I would recommend the Boursin cheese sauce on top. It made the steak! We asked for medium but it came out extremely pink/reddish in the middle. If you get this big of steak order a temperature up.

The concept was a pleasant surprise, it has more of a sports bar atmosphere than a traditional Italian restaurant, but they still offer a solid selection of pastas, pizzas, subs, and other comfort food favorites. They also have a full bar, making it a great place to catch a game. We started with the pepperoni rolls, and they were easily the highlight of the meal. The garlic butter and Parmesan on top made them absolutely irresistible, definitely a 10/10 appetizer. For my entrée, I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. The chicken was well-seasoned and had a nice crispy exterior that added some texture to the dish. The Alfredo itself was good, but fairly standard and nothing particularly memorable. The garlic bread was also solid and complemented the meal well. While this isn't the best Italian food I've ever had, it was satisfying, reasonably enjoyable, and exactly what I was looking for that evening. I'd happily come back, especially for the lively sports bar atmosphere and those pepperoni rolls.

I was curious to try Uccello's fare after all the chatter. The staff are enthusiastic, from greeting to service to checkout, knowledgeable about their menu, mindful of checking in during the meal, and friendly. The Meatball sub & U-fries combo was a hearty portion but I found the flavor and seasoning weirdly subdued, especially considering they have a vested interest in selling beverages. I would have thought it to be more tomato-forward and salty. My trip ended before I could do a return visit, but I'll be back in a few months and grab something else from the menu. There's definitely potential here.

The service is always timely for me and the food has been consistent. They have live music and the patio is perfect this time of year! Parking is a bit of a pain when DT Ada is busy, so just plan for that. On my most recent visit I ordered the mac and cheese and really enjoyed it. Sometimes bar and grill mac and cheese can be pretty underwhelming, but this was creamy, flavorful, and actually felt homemade. The portions were solid too. The atmosphere is casual and lively, making it a good spot to meet friends, grab a drink, watch a game, or sit outside on a nice summer evening. Is it the best most high quality restaurant in Ada? Probably not. But it is a reliable spot with good food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. It is in my regular roation for food stops in Ada. 4/5 stars from me!

We visited not long after they went live in 2021. It was busy inside and the service was understandably slow. I got the "Homemade Chili", which was apparently made in a condemned home because it was barely room-temperature. I sent it back and had to press my case to get that bacterial culture of a dish taken off the bill. My "Garage Burger" had a bun that was so stale, it clanked when I hit it against my plate. My beleaguered waitress stared at me when I did this and asked, comically, "do you want a new bun?" Why yes, yes I do - preferably one that can't be sharpened into a prison shank, my dear. As the volume in the place progressively increased, I watched another family with younger kids struggle with similar food issues. The dad at that table looked at me knowingly with something akin to PTSD in his eyes and then he abruptly plunked down some cash and gathered his family up and walked out. I paid with a credit card, so it took me a bit longer, but we all left without finishing our meals. I'm not going to say that the food here is a crime against humanity, but I'm going to think it really hard.

Especially loved the sport peppers. The basket is served with potato chips. There was some sort of alcohol rep there when we were there and he was handing out free drinks and samplings/shots of alcohol that were on the house so that was a nice surprise! We took a table near the door and had a good view of several TVs. The bar is pretty cozy, so it can get a little crowded. A server came over right away and took our order. I got the spicy dry rub wings and Nate ordered the buffalo chicken rangoons. The food took quite a bit of time to come out, but they were pretty busy with a couple large groups. The wings were excellent! I'd had their regular wings before, but the spicy dry rub was really flavorful with a bit of heat. I liked that it wasn't overly salty like some dry rubs I've had elsewhere. The wings themselves were crispy and juicy. The buffalo chicken rangoons were just okay. The filling was pretty sparse and they were a little tough. We'd definitely get the wings again. Note that they give a small discount if you pay in cash. Bob's Sports Bar is a low key neighborhood hangout spot to watch a game or catch up with friends. They have Keno, pull tabs, Chambongs, and daily food and drink specials. There's plenty of free street parking nearby and they have a designated parking lot across the street.

I love pretty much any kind of meat covered in BBQ sauce, so naturally, I ordered the BBQ platter. It came with a variety of meats, including brisket and pulled pork, along with plenty of sides. Because I love BBQ sauce so much, I made sure to ask for extra. When the platter arrived, it honestly looked beautiful. The meat looked tender, the sides looked delicious, and for a brief moment, I thought I had made the perfect choice. Then my nose picked up the extremely pungent smell coming from the BBQ sauce. I should have taken that as a warning, but I remained optimistic. As one does, I generously dipped a piece of pulled pork into the sauce and opened wide for a big bite. The second that sauce touched my tongue, my entire body went into survival mode. I nearly gagged at the table. The only way I can describe the flavor is like someone mixed citrus juice, straight vinegar, battery acid, and the liquid from the bottom of a garbage can, then confidently labeled it "BBQ sauce." It wasn't smoky. It wasn't sweet. It wasn't even pleasantly tangy. It tasted like a lemon had been left to ferment inside a car battery. My mouth immediately started watering, but not in the good way--in the way it does right before your body decides it needs to remove something immediately. My nose hairs nearly fell out. My taste buds began filing formal complaints. I'm pretty sure the sauce stripped a layer of enamel off my teeth and erased several childhood memories. I tried taking another tiny bite because I thought there was no possible way it could be as bad as the first one. It was. Possibly worse. The flavor somehow became stronger after I stopped eating it, lingering in my mouth like an unwanted houseguest who had no intention of leaving. The meat itself may have been perfectly fine, but the sauce completely overpowered everything it touched. Once it was on there, there was no saving it. Not with the sides, not with water, and apparently not even with the pile of grapes I am currently stress-eating at my kitchen table. I went into Gravity expecting a delicious BBQ dinner and left feeling like I had licked the inside of a citrus-scented Duracell battery.
