At Branson Murder Mystery, my mom played an audience role (don't worry, its volunteers only) in the show. Was she, Rita Boutit, the news reporter, the killer? I guess you will have to buy tickets to the show to find out. Pretty good food, great service, and cute show with a wild west theme. #bransonmissouri #bransonmurdermystery #murdermysterydinner

    Horrible... don't waste your money

This dinner & show was horrible. It was way too expensive for horrible unseasoned food served on styrofoam plates. Plus the show was bad. It was not funny and had basically 0 plot. We left early because the show was so bad and we were still hungry when we left. I cannot figure out how this place has so many positive reviews. Don't waste your money.

This small production featuring Larry and Toni Hoover was awesome. It is a small town show, with a big heart. It is very interactive and encourages audience participation. The Littles and I had an amazing time. It is located in the the Old Historic Majestic Steakhouse Theater. It is an old theater and the chairs are your standard banquet chairs with banquet tables. There is tons of free parking. The staff is amazing. The performers are also the ones collecting trays, refilling drinks and clearing off tables. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. They do pack a bunch of people into the theater and the tables are tightly spaced. We visited in late November when they were doing the Christmas show, Murder by Eggnog. You can eat as soon as you get there. The buffet is good for what it is and they serve mac and cheese, salad, rolls, green beans, meatloaf and baked chicken. It was pretty good for mass produced buffet food. I must admit that I was a little skeptical about eating dinner at 3:30, but it worked out perfectly for me and made way for the show to end at a decent hour. The show started after everyone was finished eating dinner. A select few people are chosen to have small part in the show as suspects. I was Walt Mart. It was pretty fun. Most of the audience-actors were really good and blended in nicely as part of the show. The show itself was witty, funny, and upbeat. My littles and I really liked it. The show lasted about 2 hours and at the end of it, the actors greeted everyone as they left and poses for photos. I was deciding between this and anither Murder Mystery Dinner in the town. I am so glad that I chose this one. This was one of my favorite shows during my stay in Branson. My eight year old said that she wanted to come back here every year until she was 30. I don't know about that, but I do hope to make it back here soon. I highly recommend checking this show out while in Branson.

We loved Riga Tony's murder mystery at the Clarion. It was fun, engaging, and the food and drinks were good.

The food was room temperature, the chicken was so dry and tasteless. My pork was cooked into a gray 'hay-like' substance, my husband's pork was less gray with a bit of pink. The green beans were woody. The potatoes were ok, but again room temperature. I had to ask for a roll, as my plate didn't have one. This was also served room temperature, pulled out of a bag, I imagine. We had to ask for silverware, my husband had to go find napkins, as we had none. We never had any server check on us or acknowledge us once they brought the food. The servers handed out take out containers, but did not offer us one, so again, my husband had to go hunt one down. I thought the dog might eat the chicken I pulled off the bone. The cake was ok, husband liked it, I took the icing off mine as it was nasty. The show was where the two stars come in. We did enjoy the show, but it is pretty slapstick & lots of yelling. Two of the performers are entertaining, two others are 'ok' and one, I think she was maybe a fill-in that has never done this show until tonight. It seems very minimal effort has been put into making this a good show. Again, it's cute, but not great. The funniest part of the show happened to be the interaction of one the audience 'suspects' and the female deputy (She truly carries the show). We will be taking this off our list for returning. It's a shame that it has gone so far south. The venue was only half-full, so word apparently has gotten out, as it is Memorial Day weekend and should be busy!

From where we started at the White River Landing, everything was smooth and well organized. The landing itself is charming, especially in the evening with string lights and a couple of shops designed to match the showboat's vintage aesthetic. There was a dedicated priority boarding line for Captain's Club guests that started on time and before general admission, so we avoided any wait. Staff efficiently guided us through boarding (complete with photo opportunity with an option to purchase later) and to our seats in the dining area. The dining experience was outstanding thanks to our attentive server and other dining staff. With Captain's Club, we enjoyed a menu to choose from, were served ahead of the general admission guests, and the food arrived quickly. During dinner, the show with the Rivertown Ramblers was energetic, also well-organized, and highly entertaining. The talented vocalists and musicians delivered a fantastic performance. The combination of the scenic cruise, great food, priority service, and live entertainment made for a memorable evening and one of the highlights of our Branson trip. I highly recommend the Showboat to anyone visiting and definitely upgrade to Captain's Club if you can.

A meal of baked chicken, pot roast, green beans, mashed potato with gravy, Mac n cheese, salad and roll are all enjoyed during. Menu looks like it might be updated seasonally with the spring dessert being a vanilla cake with berry sauce and cream. I added coffee and our wonderful server brought it promptly. The Rivertown Ramblers are now the headliners. Seeing them perform before at Silver Dollar city I knew they were good but they have really put together a great show for all ages. Truly appreciate the way the honor birthdays, anniversary's, and veterans. A 40 minute intermission and the invitation is given to explore the boat meet the captain and take in a truly beautiful table rock lake sunset. They told us to arrive an hour before our ticket time but we I think we would have been okay even coming 30 minutes before. It's well organized but having that extra time for our first visit was fine. After dinner and disembarking we tried the trail around the lake because we were still full. Would 100% do it again. The boat bathrooms were a little different and stopped flushing but staff were quick to respond. Overall staff were great and attentive! Nice big parking lot. My only advice is avoid the 2nd tier side seating. Go for the floor or 2nd tier facing the stage. The side seating visually cuts off half the stage.
