Max took such good care of us at the tasting & Jennifer was super attentive...awesome is the only word to describe!!!!

This establishment has great ambiance. Just perfect for a wine tasting, light meal, and hanging out! Our sommelier, Charlie, was fantastic! We have been to wine tastings all over the U.S., including Napa, California....and Charlie is one of the MOST knowledgeable about her companies wine selection, grape types, foods to eat with the various wines and overall wine industry insight. Her service is friendly, yet impeccable. We were there during the week and it was a slow day....but, she and her co-worker treated us with great attention and helpfulness. St. James Winery needs to make sure they keep ahold of this employee....because, she is a HUGE asset to their business. St. James wines are varied and delicious!!! Never have I disagreed with a restaurant's Yelp rating so much. We went for the "Traditional Caesar Salad". None of it was traditional. What an incredibly misleading description to talk about the original Caesar salad to make your customers think the salad will be made from scratch and bring them something that was undeniably an Amazon premade kit that dumped onto a plate. The meatballs tasted like they had come directly of the freezer. The garlic parm sauce was disgustingly sweet, the BBQ was definitely whatever they could get on the discount aisle, and the marinara was the best of the three but definitely came out of a can. [August 2025] Our family of five stopped by here on our way to Branson and it was a store/winery all in one. Every person who worked here was very friendly and helpful. We started off with wine tastings where our host took great care of us and our tastings. I think we ended up buying 2 cases of wine. Afterward, we had some appetizers - The Meatball Trio - a sampling of tasty Italian recipe meatballs covered in three different sauces - Garlic Parm, Traditional Marinara and BBQ. Lastly, we had the St. James Antipasto Platter. It contained fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, assorted cheeses, cucumber, tomatoes, artichokes, roasted peppers, onion and black olives drizzled in their signature balsamic reduction and olive oil. Nice place where you can do a tasting of 7 wines for $20. The menu doesn't seem to match the wine since it's mainly pizza. We got the buffalo Chicken pizza. There wasn't much chicken on the pizza but the buffalo sauce was delicious. I do think for a $27 pizza there should be more chicken on it. Overall 3.75 Stars So, we weren't expecting Pizza and Wine establishment when we found this place but it worked out well for us. 3.75 Stars - The interior is quite large, with a semi rectangle bar for wine sampling, ample seating and tables in the main dining area and another full bar with seats. It includes a gift shop with different varieties of wine from their vineyard. Wines range from sweet (fruity) to dry. Service: 3.5 Stars It was Sunday afternoon and we arrived around 4:45 and the place closes at 6 pm. It wasn't too busy and there were two staff members who took care of the cooking and service. I believe this is part of tourist season slowing down and being on a Sunday. We sat at a sturdy table and chairs (I was slightly envious) and our server stopped by to bring us water and I sampled, then order a white wine that has citrusy acidic semisweet taste to go with the pizza. We shared the following pizza: The St James Supreme Pizza: $29 - 3.75 Stars. Italian Sausage, Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Onions, Bell Peppers, and Black Olives. We added jalapeños for an extra spice level. The mozzarella cheese was the star of the show. It was oozing, melty, hot, and fresh. The pull of the cheese was long...look at pic to found out. The other ingredients were fresh and wonderful. The crust was decent but we prefer the crust to be a little bit thinner and slightly more sourdough taste to it. Now, don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the pizza cuz' we only had two slices left! All pizzas are cooked in a brick oven so the thin crust will have a nice char on the bottom. They are about 14" in diameter with 8 slices. Could you eat all by yourself? Sure, but you will be very full. Get two different options and share with your love ones. And if you don't have a love one, more pizza for you! NOTE: Sunday and Monday have a limited menu on the Appetizer and Salad options, so be prepared. We received a free pizza gift card and decided to try it. Wow the brick oven pizza was so good, we got the supreme and it was pure yummy goodness. We also shared a bottle of the bubbly peach moscato and it was perfect! The building is gorgeous and they have an outdoor area that would be perfect for warmer weather with bocce, cornhole and even a waterfall back there. We sampled the slushy and wow I can already picture myself sipping one on the back patio next summer! Give it a shot you won't be sorry this is a keeper for our Branson restaurants. We visited St. James Winery in Branson with our family while on vacation. I can accept that the wines simply weren't my personal style--that happens when visiting wineries in different regions. That wasn't what made this experience disappointing. The problem was the tasting experience itself. Our server, Max, determined which wines each guest would taste based on his assessment of our preferences. While that isn't my preferred tasting format, I could have overlooked it if the experience had been welcoming and enjoyable. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Throughout the tasting, Max came across as arrogant and condescending. Rather than making the tasting feel relaxed and conversational, it often felt like we were being lectured. The most uncomfortable moment came when he got into the personal space of two members of our group and chastised them for not listening closely enough to his explanation of alcohol percentages. It was awkward, unnecessary, and completely changed the atmosphere for everyone. Wine tastings should be fun. They should encourage conversation, questions, and discovery--not make guests feel like they're being corrected or talked down to. For $45 for two tastings, I expected hospitality to be the highlight of the visit. Instead, it became the reason we'll remember it--and unfortunately, not in a positive way. I sincerely hope this experience was an exception, because the winery deserves staff who make guests feel welcome rather than uncomfortable. read more

Chuck deserves a raise!! She was the best to work with. We came in with a party of 8 and she handled our rambunctious group with grace. She matched our energy as the young folks would say. We were excited to know we got to select our own wines for the tasting. 7 wines!! Usually, the establishment has a pre set wine tasting flight selection. With this model we got to try what interest us which was a welcome relief!! My only suggestion would be to add more chairs to the tasting area because it's a longer tasting, standing for about 45- 1 hour can be a bit tiring especially if you're older or have flat feet like me. read more

We enjoyed trying St. James. Staff were excellent. They let us try several wines before deciding on our glasses. Food was good. The antipasto had a nice variety & the pizza was delicious. Who knew Branson had such a cute Winery? While recently vacationing there we ran across this bindery and had a fantastic lunch out on their patio. Our server Angel did an excellent job and even though it was busy, he kept us engaged and checked in with us often. There were 4 of us. St James Winery is a great spot for an afternoon outing or date. Hubby and I just wanted to try some of the local wine. We were pleasantly surprised and walked away with 3 bottles--Pink Catawba, Country White, and Friendship School White. The gentleman who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions based on what we told him we liked. We ended up with several extra tastings--no complaints here . We had just had brunch so we didn't get to try the pizza. I peaked at several tables and it looked really good. Next time we will come in for wine and pizza. They have a very extensive retail store with chocolates, various wine glasses, and munchies to go with your wine purchase. I really liked the 2 bottle wine purse. They have a great location right off the main street next to The Branson Cheese Company. Perfect match -- wine and cheese. We went there for part of our honeymoon & boy was it worth it! It was our first wine tasting & we were nervous but as soon as we were greeted all of that went away! They went above & beyond to make sure we found a wine we liked. We had so much fun, we decided to stay for their amazing pizza!!!
