It was long overdue that we knocked out some Canadian breweries on my list so it felt quite accomplishing trying out some. For Yellow Dog we had the Chase My Tail Pale Ale which was quite good! Flavor features in this beer are hoppiness, floral and with a clean finish. The beer is smooth and is light bodied. This beer was a good introduction to this brewery and we enjoyed it quite a bit during our stay!

We've made some wine that was good for making sangria and some that others rave about and still others thought was an expensive wine from the Okanagan. We're awaiting our next batch...

The chips never came so I pointed it out when we got the bill. The server said she forgot about the chips. She came back with a minuscule bag of extremely spicy tortilla chips and said that's all the chips they had. I now understand why the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. At least the beer was nice, otherwise this would be a 1* review.

The venue was still doing a soft opening as of the time of writing. As they haven't received their flight paddles yet, there were no flights available. I was forced to order 16oz sleeves instead. The taster glasses still say FMF (Fraser Mills Fermentation) on them. At this point, the beers are honestly quite mediocre. Everything was quite bitter despite being non ales, including the "lighter" ones such as the Cerveza and the Citrus IPA. I honestly had a bit of trouble deciding what to order, as nothing really stood out in a good way. The staff were understanding though, which is greatly appreciated. Honestly at this point it might be better to give them a few weeks to work out the kinks.

The staff were also nice, though if they are expecting a tip upwards of 15% as shown through the prompt screen during payment, I would expect more. I'm happy to tip if staff are being extra nice or helpful, but the expectation to tip when I have to carry my own drink to the table, return my glass, and do everything else without receiving any service is a bit overboard.

We had one employee who made my dog's day by bringing them extra water and lots of pets and attention. He was the best!! I wish I would have gotten his name. Because of him we stayed longer than we had planned.
