So while I was on a work trip to Pittsburgh PA we stopped at Bravo Italian Kitchen in LaFayette Plaza. My choice I wanted Italian. It was a very nice restaurant and our waitress was a very nice lady. So I ordered the eggplant and thin spaghetti. The eggplant was really good and it was crispy like I like it. The angel hair was also good and not dry or overcooked. It came with a minimal amount of sauce so I asked for more and put a small amount on my eggplant. The sauce was good but it gave me agita. I generally don't order sauce in restaurants but in this case I thought I'd give it a try. But anyway the bread was really good and the service was also good. We ordered a catering package for our holiday party this year and the food was delicious. The chicken scaloppini with herbed linguini, pasta bravo, the insalata Della casa salad served well together and the mini cannolis for dessert were great too. Everyone loved it. Ordering and pickup was without issue, however due to an internal system processing error, I received notifications and even a personal phone call the next day saying there was an issue with my payment even though I went back and verified that in fact my credit card was successfully charged the week before when I placed the order. They were going to charge my card again and I had to request they don't and please fix their system error without involving me and what was sure to be an administrative headache. If this hadn't happened, this rating would have been 5 stars. read more

Hello all! My sis and I were hungry for Italian and were out in Robinson... so decided on Bravo. This Bravo is not a standalone building ... it's in a strip type setting so shared parking lot .. but we had no issues finding a spot We had reservations so got seated pretty quickly and were treated by a super friendly waitress. Waters and bread with that fabulous sun dried tomato dipping sauce! Sell that please in a bottle! We ordered salads ( Insalata Della Casa Salad) and our dinner. I got the chicken Parmesan and she got the chicken caprese with balsamic glaze . Both were really good.. I did ask for extra sauce .. just the way I personally like chicken parm. Went here as a group of six (had reservations). I've been to these a few times and it's always consistently good food and service. However, it's been a hot minute since my last visit 4 years ago. Appetizers were just alright - CRISPY SHRIMP NAPOLI and the Calamari. There really was no 'crispy' with the shrimp and the calamari was lukewarm at best. My dinner was a bright spot - I had the FRA DIAVOLO with Chicken and it was very good with some kick to it. I would get this again if the opportunity presents itself, but I'm left feeling I can find better Italian out there. read more

I stopped in by myself for dinner on a Monday night and sat at the bar... they were moderately busy. Inside is nicely decorated, like other Bravo restaurants. I hadn't been to a Bravo in a while, as chain Italian isn't really a fav of mine, but I was in the mood for soup and salad and figured I'd try them out. The service was friendly, but otherwise non-existent... the bar tender was bust doing so many other things, she was hardly at the bar. Also, oddly enough, there was a guy (I think an employee?) selling shoes and some other stuff to a guest in the bar, so I sat there listening to this sales pitch and exchange - Odd! As for the food, the soup was good. The chopped Italian chicken salad was just OK. The lettuce didn't appear very fresh and the entire dish needed a lot of salt and pepper added to it, as there wasn't much flavor the way it came. The texture was spot-on though, with the crunchy stuff in it. Overall, this visit about met my expectations... One of the reasons I rarely visit these joints. read more

We had such a great experience here. I had mistakenly made a reservation somewhere else but GPS took me here. It was a blessing in disguise. Not wanting to travel to the other restaurant, we took a chance and decided to dine here. The hostesses were very understanding and accommodating. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is large and dimly lit. It would be romantic if it weren't so busy and loud. That didn't bother us at all though. Our server was very attentive and kind. We were left waiting for nothing. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned. We were glad we got there when we did because there were groups of people waiting to for a table when we left. Had a pretty disappointing lunch here. I typically try not to go to chains ane now I remember why. Service was terrible! There was hardly anyone there at 12:35 when I got there but I still had to wait 10 minutes to even be greeted. The area of the bar I was sitting in was dirty and the bartender did not offer to clean it. He brought me bread and oil and a dirty bread plate. He noticed that the plate was dirty snd took it away and brought the menue but no plate. I ended up grabbing a plate off of a bar table behind me. I ordered a glass of wine and he immediately tried to upsell me on a more expensive type of wine. I've had that wine before and it was a little too acidic for what I wanted. He seemed to judge me for going for the cheaper wine. After ordering, he brought my salad. I was not offered pepper and had to ask for silverware. I grabbed salt and pepper off the same bar table where I got my bread plate. The salad, thankfully, was very good. Recommend the insalata dela casa. I also ordered the chicken scallopine (pictured below). This was like someone took a different chicken piccata I'm trying to make it look a little fancier by adding feta and tomatoes and mushrooms. It wasn't bad but there was a little too much going on. The side of pasta was good but I would have preferred the same lemon butter cream sauce as the chicken. I should have stuck with my favorite, Fra Diablo...or better yet, gone to a non-chain restaurant. I will say, however, despite the poor service, the gentleman waiting on me was very nice. Was visiting the area for work and everyone I asked where I could get good Italian food in the area said Bravo's. We did not make a reservation and it was full on a Wednesday night, but luckily were able to get seated in 25 mins. To start we had the lobster bisque and spinach dip. Dip was good, soup needed a little more flavor. For the entree I had the Pasta Bravo with shrimp and extra sauce with angel hair. It was delicious and so filling. A great spot in Robinson. I'm not the biggest fan of chain Italian restaurants but my first visit to a Bravo location was great. Staff was friendly and service was very good. Restaurant is spacious and very clean. The have a lot of options, I like how the menu highlights their fan favorites. My husband and I went to lunch last week with a friend. She ordered a salad and appetizer and we decided to do the $45 special that serves 3-4 people. We chose a regular salad rather than Caesar and all you can get for a dressing is Parmesan and the salad was terrible - no taste - bland - we took the rest home and put it in the trash that night. The deal included garlic bread and we got 4 pieces of 3"x3" garlic toast that was rock hard and was not very tasty when it was fresh. We then shared Spaghetti Bolognese, which we often get when we visit and they gave us a huge bowl of spaghetti that was swimming in water from the pasta not being drained properly - or at all. We brought a large portion of it home, but it tasted watered down and we were not offered any fresh shaved cheese to add to our home portion, which was disappointing. The special did not cost us more than if we had ordered off the menu individually, but when the pasta showed up in a pool of water that really killed my appetite. Their service used to be very consistent and top of the line, but they struggle to even seat you in a timely manner. It seems that their staff get very focused on one task in the kitchen area and customer service suffers. They used to have 2 or 3 servers that we would see on a regular basis and they now have left or work different shifts and the ones we get now are lacking in true customer service - simple things like refilling our drinks without having to wait 10-15 minutes after are glasses are empty. We used to go once a week but even all the coupon specials are not making us want to rush back once a month. read more

When we ordered our meal, we realized the most of what we ordered was just heated over. Even our bread sticks were warm but had a harder texture. The dregs of the bag. At 15 bucks a total ripoff. The rest of the meal was adequate. Never saw the waiter who took my order again. She took the order, someone else brought the food. The person bringing the food wasn't able to identify the two entrees. A third person checked on us and a fourth person delivered the check. Second time coming to Bravo. The first was about three years ago while visiting Pittsburgh to see family. Overall, great experience. We had a table of 7 with two kids and they were able to seat us fairly quickly. For an Italian chain, i expected more of an olive garden feel to it, but it was much nicer. The food came oit hit and fresh, as did the bread that was served while we waited. The only thing i would change is or was how salty the Sicilian wood fired pizza was. Though tthsts kind of had to do with it being all pork on the pizza! My wife had the weddi g soup and we shared tje capresse side. All in all id say it was worth the trip. Our waitress, Jacey, was excellent! Pleasant and quick to get what our family needed. Now here is one the highlights. My granddaughter turned eight today and jacey brought out a dessert with a candle in it so we could sing happy birthday to her! Way to go! read more

Stopped here for dinner and drinks on a Thursday night, the place was not busy. The service at the bar was pretty good, a little slow but no complaints. The food was just not good. I ordered meatballs & ricotta appetizer and the spaghetti pomodoro for an entree. The meatballs tasted like they'd been sitting for a few days. The pasta was mushy and the pomodoro sauce was too thick, just did not taste good. I had a few bites took it home and threw it out. Came here to celebrate my mother in laws 80th birthday. My sister in law had been here a while ago and remembered it was good plus they could accommodate a large party of 15. We ordered a variety of dishes amongst us and some were good like my salmon salad and the Mediterranean salad. We started with appetizers, 2 orders of calamari , shrimp Napoli and spinach and artichoke dip. The calamari was cold by the time it made it to the table. The other two were very good. 3 of us ordered various salads and were happy with our selections. 5 people in our party ordered the Pasta Woozie and 3 who ordered the chicken parm were very disappointed in their selections. On both there was very little sauce on the pasta so it tasted like you were eating plain noodles and some of the chicken was dry and over cooked. The chicken varied in thickness so the thinner cuts were dry but the thicker ones were okay. The pasta under the chicken had no sauce on it at all! The fresh hot bread and dipping oil was probably the highlight of the meal. Wine prices were higher than expected like $15 for a house cab. We spent a lot of money in total so we were overall disappointed in our meal. They also do not offer a birthday dessert for the birthday guest. Would we come here again? Probably not since there are plenty of better Italian restaurants we can choose from. read more

Very disappointing. Long time customers, we have few opportunities to eat at Bravos! due to store closures. Looking forward to eating at thus Cranberry location we stopped early, around 11:15 am or so. We were apparently the first customers and when we asked for a window table a very nasty hostess told us to just sit where we wanted. The server finally saw us all alone in the restaurant. While the food was fine my wife asked for the lunch special but when the check arrived it was all separated. Not the store it once was. I try not to write bad reviews, but our Friday night dinner at Bravo was not a good experience. We hadn't been to Bravo in several years and were excited to go back. When we went in, we were told the wait would be 40 minutes or we could sit at a high top table by the bar...a high top was open so we took it. When we sat down we saw the lights in that section were all off above the tables...we were told later they were all broken. We probably waited 10-15 minutes for our waitress to come over to our table...we were almost about to leave. She seemed extremely flustered but did the best she could with all the tables she had. I ordered soup, I never got, and a Margherita pizza and shrimp fra diavolo. 30 minutes after ordering we got a Margherita flatbread...not what we ordered but by this time we were starving. It was cold not Luke warm but actually cold. We got our dinner about 15 minutes later, after we were offered two other peoples food...that was not ours. Very unimpressive. It was about what I expected from a chain Italian place. About the level of the other main cheap Italian chain. The wedding soup was decent, though they didn't use the correct pasta. The pesto was not very good at all. It tasted like a cross between good pesto and what I'd imagine sawdust would taste like. It was also COLD. It may have been heated at some point, but it wasn't even left under a heat lamp. If we hadn't been with another couple, I'd have sent it back. (I thought this was the reason it tasted really bland, but when I heated up the leftovers at home it was still very bad pesto.) I'd definitely get something else if we ever go back there, but I hadn't been to that Bravo ever and I hadn't been to any Bravo in years, so I doubt we'll go back in the near future. The service was decent, the bread was great (seemed very fresh), and the wedding soup was okay, but I would definitely not recommend it. Atmosphere - I like the design and feel of Bravo. Yes, it is a chain restaurant, but in feels more like an independent Italian restaurant. My only complaint is that it can be very loud. This location is a bit smaller than other Bravo restaurants and so the bar raises the noise level even higher. Service - Very good. I have dined at a Bravo restaurant about 10 times over the years and have seldom been disappointed. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Food - the menu is extensive and varied. However, I am a creature of habit. I frequently order the chicken diavlo and did so that evening. Although a little more spicy than normal, I enjoyed my meal. We were a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall - I love Italian food. I have dined at tons of Italian restaurants over the years. I much prefer independently owned and run Italian restaurants, I would, however, say that Bravo is one of y favorite chain restaurants. For an Italian restaurant the Italian options were limited, especially red sauce dishes (no manicotti?) Prices on the high side but not crazy. Service was fine and atmosphere is open and lively. The food was really great (chicken/spinach flatbread, the pepperoni pizza and the Sicilian omelette) and were all prepared well and exactly how we had ordered. The pizza was spot on and the omelette was amazing. The egg was cooked perfectly and the mixture of Sicilian favorites inside were outstanding. The brunch potatoes had a good crunch to them and just the right amount of seasoning. I certainly wasn't hungry after all of that. The issue we had was with the service. After it started out okay, our waitress disappeared and spent most of the time talking with the gaggle of servers behind the large plant in the middle of the room.
