The restaurant is beautiful. I definitely felt under dressed but we weren't the only ones in shorts and t-shirts. In " our" defense, the temp outside was in the hundreds and it was gross and sticky outside. The service was excellent! We ordered the spaghetti from Bravo and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, after sharing the meal, on the very last bite I bit down on something hard and immediately had to spit it out. It appeared to be some kind of foreign object that I couldn't identify as anything that normally belongs in spaghetti. It was hard, almost like cartilage or a small bone, but we're not sure exactly what it is. While the food itself tasted great, finding something unusual in the dish at the end of the meal was pretty unpleasant and honestly a bit disgusting. Located in the heart of Virginia Beach's town center, Bravo's restaurant accommodated our large party for a celebration . The service started off very slow but here comes Alexis to saved the day. Bravo, Bravo (Almost): Great Happy Hour, Food On Point--But That Bartender... If you're hunting for one of the best happy hours in Town Center, look no further than Bravo Italian Kitchen. Their happy hour menu is chef's kiss--delicious, well-priced, and available daily at the bar or outdoor patio only (so plan accordingly!). I stopped in around 5:30 PM to sneak in a quick order before happy hour ended at 6. The food was genuinely great--I ordered the margarita flatbread and the fried ravioli, both perfectly crisp and flavorful. I asked for some balsamic glaze to drizzle over the flatbread and it completely took it to the next level. 10/10 recommend adding that. Now, let's talk drinks. I asked the bartender for a cocktail recommendation and... nothing. He didn't know the menu, didn't offer a suggestion, and had no feedback when I asked if the sangria was popular. I tried the white sangria--it was just okay. Later, I ordered an espresso martini made with whiskey, which turned out to be the real winner. Unfortunately, the biggest miss of the night was the bartender himself. No greeting when I walked in. No personality. No eye contact. Honestly, it felt like I was bothering him by simply showing up. I had to ask for a menu and make an effort just to place my order. A couple of other bar guests even mentioned that he's always like that--and apparently, the previous bartender wasn't any better. That's a real shame, because the food and drinks deserve better front-of-house energy. The bar is your happy hour spotlight, and the vibe starts with whoever's pouring the drinks. After happy hour, I joined a few friends for dinner at a regular table and the server was phenomenal--fun, friendly, and made us laugh. He had the exact kind of presence you want in a bar. They should switch places, honestly. Also tried a few bites from my friends' dishes: Bread? Warm and buttery. Mashed potatoes? So good I ordered a side to-go. Every dish we tasted was solid. Would I go back? Definitely. The food and happy hour deals make it worth it. We went to Bravo for dinner around 6pm. We made a reservation online which was pretty easy. I liked that they have that option. It wasn't to busy when we got there, so a reservation wasn't necessary, but about an hour later things did get busier. We were greeted when we walked in and seated right away. My friend was at the bar where they had happy hour, where apps were $8 and the drinks were discounted. For the happy hour discount you have to eat at the bar or on the patio. It was a decent deal. She enjoyed her expresso martini, but was surprised it had whiskey in it in addition to the vodka and Bailey's Irish cream. So it kind of made the drink look a little curdled. We got complimentary bread for the table which was soft and came with olive oil to dip it into. Everyone else at the table wasn't that fond of the bread, but I liked it. I think it's because the bread was cold. Had it been warm I think they'd have enjoyed it. I enjoyed the olive oil. Without the oil it wouldn't have much flavor. I tasted mostly rosemary. We ordered the crispy shrimp nepoli and fried mozzarella ravioli for apps. The ravioli were good, I wish there was more cheese inside but enjoyed them. The shrimp nepoli was my favorite. It was crispy and had good flavor and all the toppings went well with it. It has green onions and tomato sauce. For our main dishes we got pork chops with mashed potatoes and green beans, and I added a side of pasta with cheese. It's the closest thing they had to macaroni and cheese. It was $9 and tasted ok. The pork chops and potatoes were good also with a nice sauce. The green beans were very basic and flavorless but paired well with everything because of the crunchy texture. My daughters got the pasta bravo and pasta woozie. The pasta bravo was definitely dry and bland. They brought her some extra sauce to attempt to make it better. Besides being bland the chicken wasn't good to her either. She absolutely should have returned it for something else, but was to shy to speak up. I liked the pasta woozie, but again the chicken is a bit weird. There's no flavor, it's more of a texture. I added the olive oil to the pasta and it made it tasty to me. I think shrimp is probably a better protein for the pasta. Our waiter Nate was super attentive to our needs and kept everyone happy. He was nice and friendly!! Ordered take out through DoorDash and the food was very tasty. The meatball appetizer, eggplant parm, and chicken parm were all delicious, even after being delivered. We went as a group. Parking was challenging as we parked in one of the tightest public garage on the other side of the street. But Bravo is beautiful and clean. We were greeted right up front and was shown to our reserved seats. The waiter was quick and took our orders right away. Our orders came fast. I ordered the pork chop. It is so good. A very good experience at Bravo! Italian Kitchen. I dined here on a weeknight and there were very few customers in the dining room. This added to a good experience because it felt really intimate with my party of 8. The dining room is huge with ample square, booth, and round tables. The kitchen is open and visible from the dining room. I had a later reservation and I appreciate that they were able to seat us 45 minutes earlier after I called and requested it. Our waiter was very good. She was friendly, professional, and efficient. I appreciate her attention to detail and anticipating needs. The food was delicious. The fettuccini pasta was made fresh and all of the sauces seemed to be freshly made. The kids meal portions are large and adequate for adults. Especially the kids Mac & Cheese which is an exceptionally large portion. This mac & cheese would be a meal in and of itself if a protein is added to it. The same for the kid's pizza which is by most metrics larger than a traditional personal pan pizza at most upscale pizza parlors. Overall a very good experience. There is valet parking available for all of the restaurants in the quad and there also are parking garages nearby. I will visit again when in the area. Give them a try. read more

Unfortunately, we could not partake in their happy hour while sitting at a regular table - that's only for the bar or patio. We ordered two apps - shrimp and Margherita flatbread, as well as a couple of pastas and grilled shrimp, all of which were delicious. I've been here thrice, and each time was a 5/5. There's always more than enough room for customers to dine. The hosts are always welcoming, service is phenomenal, food is on point and plentiful, and never had a waiter/waitress who didn't smile. We were pretty disappointed with this dining experience. Made a reservation for a table at 11 am, their open time on a Sunday. The greeting was friendly enough and straight to a table. We were given a menu, but had to ask for the brunch menu. One of which was greasy to the touch. It took a few minutes for a server to greet us, despite us being the only table in the lobby. We ordered the Bloody Mary, the first disappointment. Tasted like canned tomato juice, and the garnish wasn't close to what was advertised. The waiter did applogise when I asked about the bacon etc, and brought 2 small pieces of regular bacon *not the candied advertised, and dried out celery sticks. We ordered relatively quickly, the Eggs Benedict and the Tuscan Scramble, and a side of the candied bacon. It took the kitchen about 15-20 minutes to come out. Presentation was messy, the temp on the Benedict was warm, and flavour wasn't anything special. The scramble was reltively hot and good flavour, but wasn't very appealing to look at. The "crispy" potatoes were not. As we sat waiting and chatting, looking around the dining room we noticed how dingy and dirty the seats and floor were, the salt and pepper grinders were sticky, and the utensils I opened initially all had obvious food particles stuck to them. Server checked in after about halfway through, didn't bother with a complaint, nothing to be done at that point. All in all, for the 2 of us, ~$80 was way overpriced for what was served. read more

Went here for a family birthday celebration. Ambience is nice. Reminded me of Woodmont Grille in Maryland, and the inside of your typical Olive Garden combined. I'm a big caesar salad fan and their's didn't disappoint. Family ordered a combination of pizzas and pastas as the main dishes. I got the pepperoni pizza and it comes with banana peppers. We stopped by Bravo! Italian Kitchen, located at Town Center in the heart of Virginia Beach, for lunch today. They were not busy when we arrived so we were able to score 2 seats at the bar, our favorite perch. We started out with the Chopped side Salad for $6.99 and they were kind enough to split it between 2 plates for us. I really like it when a good salad is served on chilled plates. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Next came the Sicilian Pizza baked to a in their wood fired oven at the back of the restaurant. This was a fantastic pizza, the crust was lite and airy with a crispness that can only be achieved by the high heat of a wood fired oven. It was loaded with pepperoni, sausage and chunks of diced beef & pork meatballs. Everything worked well together to make this a fantastic pizza. The meatballs and ricotta were delicious. They were accompanied with a house made marinara and served with a garlic crostini. We had a great experience here and we are already looking forward to our next visit. read more

We came here for a family meal, and it is a nice place. Being in VA Beach town center there's plenty of parking around in the parking garages. The inside and outside are nice, welcoming, and the dining area is quite large. Service was good, and timely. I ordered the Chicken Scallopini, which was OK. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. My wife ordered the Bravo Chicken, and she said the same thing. We came to the conclusion that this place is targeted towards the mid pallet. The food was too bland for our taste buds, and it wouldn't take much to make the meal better. The star of the show for us as a family was the meatball appetizer. And it is a very nice courtyard. Our server was also very nice and did a good job. We were his only table and that should have given us a clue... We wanted to love it, but the food was no bueno... we started with the fries ravioli - too hard, barely any filling, no flavor. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs - the pasta was cooked well and the sauce was good, but the meatballs tasted like dog food... sorry... Our server was fantastic, the cocktail I ordered was good and not at all weak. The food was okay. Dessert was good and the restaurant is a great size to allow groups. I wouldn't seek out the restaurant to go to on my own but I wouldn't say no if we had a group interested in going. It seems overpriced for what it is. $12 on average for a 6oz wine pour. I got a cocktail instead for the same price. I just have a hard time paying $12 for a small glass of wine when I can probably just buy that bottle at the store for the same price and drink at home. If you have a sage aversion... this is not the place for you. The bread has sage in it and possibly their meatballs... they couldn't say for sure. I found it odd that they used sage in Italian food at all... I have a strong aversion to sage so it was hard to figure out what to eat once I realized that. I had already ordered and received the Caesar side salad (I had ordered the meatballs and ricotta as well but switched it up because of the safe) so I just kept that and ordered the salmon to go with it. However I didn't think about the croutons being made from the same bread so I ended up picking off the croutons. $21 for a side salad and a piece of salmon seems a bit steep to me too. Call me crazy, but I believe Bravo is underrated. I've enjoyed numerous Happy Hours throughout the years & it seems to get better every visit. My party and I were super pleased with the service, ambiance, and food during our last visit. Happy hour specials are restricted to the bar area, but the staff honored happy hour drinks in the restaurant area, not food. All of the food we ordered was delicious. The most memorable were the Meatballs w/ Ricotta and their Italian Wedding Soup. I'm a fan of any restaurant that can plop a dollop of ricotta on a dish which is what won me over with the meatball. The Italian Wedding Soup is probably one of the best I've had. It was full of flavor, depth, veggies, and meat. So good. Another visit I went solo and sat at the bar. Ken was FREAKING AWESOME! I decided to eat at Bravo for my birthday last Friday night. I'd never been so I thought it was a great choice and I'd heard nothing but great things. We made reservations for 8pm but unfortunately arrived later than our reservations. As we walked in, we made mention that we had reservations and knew we were late but I was okay if they couldn't accommodate them. The front desk lady told us to wait at the desk as she left the area. Once she returned, she mentioned that she went to talk to her manager and that he said even though we were late, they can still accommodate our reservations but "don't let it happen again" (verbatim). We were a little taken aback by that comment and thought it was a very rude thing to say to guests, especially since we were okay with being put on the 40 Min Wait List. After that debacle, we were quickly seated and as we walked to our table, we noticed there were plenty of empty tables in the dining area so we were quite confused as to why we had an issue to begin with since there was ample seating. Our waitress greeted us pretty quickly and took our drink and appetizer order. Calamari is one of my favorites so we decided on that to start. It came out pretty fast and it tasted alright. It wasn't seasoned very well and I would have preferred the arrabiata sauce and lemon aioli on the side and not in the same dish as the fried calamari. It made some pieces really soggy. While waiting to order our meal, we did receive bread and the dipping oil which always is great to snack on. We finally decided on the Margherita Pizza and the Chicken Fra Diavolo. Both dishes were excellent! The pizza was delicious. The bread was soft and warm, the mozzarella was perfectly salty and paired wonderfully with the sweetness of the tomatoes and the finishing touches of the fresh basil made it a great tasting pizza. The Fra Diavolo was outstanding. The tomato cream sauce was spicy (which I loved) but the pasta was cooked perfectly and the chicken was seasoned great. This dish is cooked with lobster butter so with all those wonderful flavors coming together, it was a 10/10, I HIGHLY recommend it. Unfortunately, our waitress got stuck at another table with a pretty large party so we had to flag down another waitress to provide us with some fresh parmesan cheese to add to my dish and to accommodate our needs like providing us with refills so that was a bummer. We weren't given another waiter for a while or was even told that our waitress had to tend to another table. When we received our check from a different waiter, there was an added order for a glass of wine that was not ours so they had to correct that issue as well. Due to the lack of customer service and the rude remark from the manager, it will be a while before I return but the food was great! read more

This time I came for dinner. I had a reservation for 5 people at 6:30. We were seated right away. Very nice waiter. It was busy and I know there was a show at the Sandler Center nearby. I ordered the Pasta Woozie which was delicious!! I ate every single last bite! Plus I like the name. :) My date - my granddaughter ordered buttered noodles. I am not leaving a review for that. The other people at the table ordered a variety of appetizers and they all looked delicious and I did not hear a single complaint. First time for everything! Looking for birthday reservations for 8 in town center was a bit of a chore, but we were able to get reservations here a week before for 4:30pm. A bit early for dinner and honestly the place did not fill up until closer to 6pm. Jason (I think was his name) was AMAZING. His personality fit right in with ours and he made sure we were well taken care of. Drinks? So good. The sangria and Bellini really need what they needed to do for me. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo, which was a bit underwhelming and I had to order more Alfredo sauce for. The bread and oil were good though!
