We came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was busy. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away. Service was a little slow but it was busy due to the football games. The drinks were delicious and refreshing . I had the Vanilla Pear Mule. The food was good. I had the Keagans Melt with sweet potato fries. They have a mix of American and Irish pub food. The atmosphere was pretty neat with all the decor to look at and the Irish pub feel. The place is larger inside than it looks from the outside which is nice. Great ambiance of this Irish pub! Felt like I was in Ireland for a bit with the decor and side secret door leading to another part of the restaurant was nifty! Staff is friendly plus knowledgeable of menu. I got a nice, flakey fish n' chips with a local lager to wash it down. My guy got the Reuben with a side of onion rings. Some of the rings onions were stringy but the beer-batter breaded component plus dipping it between ranch or tartar sauce was tantalizing. Very filling meal plus good company made for a nice dinner. Each day of the week brings something engaging and entertaining for the masses like karaoke Sundays at 9pm. Also they may need to change out the air filters or clean the vents...after the meal we had trouble breathing through our noses/got stuffy but alas, could have been allergies I reckon. Keagan's Irish pub is a great place for a bite to eat! The fish and chips dish is plentiful, the piece of fish I was served was huge. I was able to also enjoy the fries that came with it. They gave me plenty of tartar sauce which I like. Service was decent and quick. I also tried the Reuben egg rolls. They were so warm and filling as well. Decor gave an Irish pub feel , its dim lighting and ambiance gives it a unique touch. I was intrigued by the music event they have . I need to come out more for those. read more

I'm in town often and stay at the HGI. Lots within walking distance. Did a nice refresh of the inside. Looks great !! Clean and just a little brighter. Standard pub fare and more. Great for business happy hour, maybe dinner depends what you like. Lots of healthy options, but also the yummy stuff that you don't always do. I was there only for a short time but sadly the service was horrible. I sat in the smaller bar on a Wednesday around 4:30. I ran into friends and joined them. The bartender completely ignored me.....didn't notice a new person at the bar. My friend (regular) finally got her attention and I ordered my drink. She brought it, put it on a used napkin that was on the bar and slid the drink over to me. ?????? Finished my drink and waited again. I literally felt invisible. Definitely not a good experience. Great place to hang out. There are two bars connected so pick your poison. They sometimes have events or live music which is fun. Last night there was a live singer. We had some wings which were really good. Nicely cooked with a nice cold beer. They accommodated me and my 5 friends. Our server was very attentive to our orders. Was in the area so we stopped in for some fish and chips for lunch. Would've been a 5 star review but the hostess sat us in the craft beer room/bar area with loud obnoxious drunk people even though we had a minor with us. The ambiance was your typical casual Irish pub vibe. It was very dark in the bar area, so dark it was a struggle to peruse the menu. The food was amazing. Fish and fries were both perfectly fried and crispy. Batter wasn't oily or greasy. The fish was nice and flaky and tasted fresh. Portion size was huge. With the red ale it really hit the spot. Waffle fries and B.E.L.T. were tasty. It was a very fulfilling lunch. On a side note, the men's restroom was atrocious and beyond filthy before 2pm on a weekday. read more

Don't know what happened here, but it's terrible. Wife, Daughter, and I came here for Dinner, and we waited around for about 10 minutes at the Sign that said Wait Here To Be Seated. We waited, and waited, but the Bartenders and Wait Staff completely Ignored us for no reason. We finally said let's go, and left. I don't know if the Management knows about what their Staff are and are not doing, is unforgettable. This place isn't the same now for some reason. It's like they don't care about Customer Service. Had the Jameson Burger cooked perfectly to medium and it did not disappoint. Waffle fries had a heavy black pepper flavor and they were money! Draft beer could have been a few degrees colder as the mug barely got frosted. I'm coming back tomorrow for the live music and fish n chips per bartender recommendation. avoid at all costs. my friend was assaulted by the bouncer here last night. we were told by one bouncer that they were doing last call (it was a full hour before they closed) and we had to leave so we asked him if we could just finish the drinks that we had paid for that were half empty and he said "fine just move over to this table so you can finish your drinks", which we did and as we're sitting there, we were approached by another bouncer who physically ripped my friends drink out of her hand as she was drinking it and the glass hit her tooth. i don't know if this is normal protocol at Keegan's but in no world is it okay for a man to put his hands on a woman like that. i'm disgusted read more

Sat in for drinks only at the bar to check out the live band on a very busy Friday night - bar service was spot on - wait staff handled the local crowd - food was delivered timely. I returned the next day at noon and had the Guinness stew with one Guinness. The stew, a signature menu item was remarkable - exceedingly flavorful and aromatic with just the right seasoning that did not overpower the flavor of the basic fresh ingredients. I will return to explore other signature menu items. The atmosphere is causal and low key with a twist of Irish flare. The staff is engaging with all. Although I am rating this restaurant three stars, I still recommend it. I think that this specific time they were a little bit busy and understaffed. I went with some friends and family and we were running late to meet for the reservation, but upon getting there one of my family members said they had already been waiting 25 minutes for a drink and did not get it. The waitress came back when we sat down and our whole party was there and she asked us to drink water again then she returned with half of the drinks and let us know that they were out of two of the drinks we wanted because of St. Patrick's Day. No problem, because we're generally easy to please but we got different beers and different drinks and ordered our food. The waitress was very nice and allowed our uncle to use the phone charger because his phone was dying and we needed the tickets for a concert we were about to go attend. The food came out and everything was cooked perfectly. I definitely recommend the french fries to anyone, as I am a huge french fry lover and these were delicious. I think I will give this place another shot maybe just for a date night, that way I can take advantage of the bar and playing pool. :) read more

This is a pretty neato place. I dined here a few nights ago with my babe for a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is kinda cozy, even though all times of dining parties were present. Well babe and I were there, date night, families with small children were present, girlfriends, double couples dating, triple couples dating... it was just a nice sight to see in this crazy day. The food and cocktails were pretty good. My only side eye was the portion. I had a wrap with fries, but the wrap was skinny and I maybe had three pieces (small pieces) of meat in each side. I was like like dannnnng... taste like I want some more. Oh well. I ended up grabbing something later. But this place is located in the busy area of Town Center Virginia Beach. Parking is available on the street (2 hours) or in one of the nearby garages. I'd say check them out if you are interested, but don't go hungry. Now I really enjoyed the live band that night. The man and woman duo were awesome! And I knew most of the songs... turned into a sing-a-long for me... loved it! It is always great when a restaurant is able to add live music to my dining experience. It just livens up the place the more and if the food good too!! After a long wait for service, the hostess told us the waitress was nowhere to be found. Then, we were told that the waitress was now found, and would be with us shortly. There is no reason a bar with this type of atmosphere should be blocking music like Lil Wayne or the Ying Yang Twinz. I could understand some artist like Kanye or Yeat, but banning the classics of the early 2000's is insane and is the sole reason i hate most bars of this era. You have the climate of a ratchet biker bar but have the music limited to Johnny Cash and Morgan Wallen. Who the hell even uses AMI jukes anyway? read more

First visit dining inside. I've had their wings as take out. This is a nice pub with nearby parking. We were there on bingo night but left before it began. I have the fish and chips a try. I expected the typical few chunks of fish however it is one long piece. The fish was flaky and tender. Was very filling. I would ask for it not to be served on top of the fries as the heat from both caused the batter to get soggy. Overall I definitely recommend stopping in. You won't be disappointed! read more

I did not eat the food, but came with my mother to have a drink. I chose this place because it seemed safe and wasn't a nice neighborhood. It was not a safe place. It had security all over. It was evening, loud and noisy people doing drugs, and I went to the restroom in the evening. I left the bathroom stall and was then beat up by some young punk punched in the face three times kicked in the ribs and must've passed out because my arm was full of cuts and bloody. My mother had a security go into the restroom since I've been there for such a long time. Don't remember anything. Don't even remember how I got back to the table but security proceeded to tell me I was being kicked out instead of taking care of my wounds and making sure I was OK they decided to kick me out a 55-year-old man who had done nothing. During the time that this was going on, apparently a man had left with two other men without paying their bill so they were searching for that app they had Florida plates. Apparently, the only thing I know is as I left the stall of the person who beat me up, called me a faggot. I do not recommend this place unless you're looking for a rough time, but seem to be safe was only a façade. Take care and none of the staff seemed to care. I do believe I was given a concussion because my behavior even drunk was not normal. I was very confused and out of it. And if anybody is wondering, I don't frequent bars and drink very little. The bar tab was $40 for two people so you can know I have not much to drink. Good luck to anyone who goes there. The police need to shut it down. read more

Came in just before Thursday night football game was starting and there was only one bar seat left in the place which I took. The bartender was as friendly as can be but she was busier than a one leg and man in an ass kicking contest. I drank a bold rock cider while I checked out the menu. I ended up ordered some cheeseballs and some Sirachi honey chicken wings. Thursday night is the night if you want chicken wings. A pound of wings that equates to about 10 at $.60 a wing. Good deal!! The atmosphere was mostly people staying in local hotels and I sat next to a friendly fellow sports fan from Kansas City. Within a few minutes of ordering, my food was ready. We wanted some late night food and drinks, but everything was closed. Can't even lie, I was a little skeptical but I'm glad I went. I saw this restaurant and we took a chance. Food was sooo good and flavorful. I got the Chicken Bistro Sandwich which was grilled chicken, avocado, smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, dill ranch, lettuce,tomato, red onion and a toasted bun. We also got the Wachos for the table. Honey, they were sooo good. We were so sad when all the food was gone. The drinks will have you LIT baby! They ain't playing with the liquor. Y'all definitely should try them out! I would love to go on The Weekend and see how lit the pub is. I'll be back to try other food options very soon. read more

A good place for a quick meal. we arrived for a Saturday lunch. When we walked in the tables were nicely spaced for Covid. Our waitress was pretty much on top of things throughout our whole time. The music was a little too loud most of the time. That really is my only complaint. I got the chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon it was really good it needed a little more sauce which was the ranch dressing because the chicken was a tad dry.
