My daughter took me to Bahamas Breeze for lunch. When we arrived we pretty much had the patio to ourselves. The weather was nice. The only thing about the patio was it was several birds playing and flying over our food, so I was nervous about them dropping a surprise. But it worked out!! Lol. They ordered drinks and I had water. The drink I sipped didn't really taste like alcohol. So to me it was just a pretty juice and it was mostly ice. We ordered empanadas, a chicken sandwich, a burger, coconut shrimp tacos, fries, and key lime pie. The empanadas are my favorite thing on the menu, they never disappoint. They were hot and fresh with sour cream and salsa. My chicken sandwich was pretty good to. It was a little dry because there was no mayo or anything on it, but still tasty. My daughters enjoyed their burger and tacos. The rice that came with the tacos was raw,hard, and dry. We sent that back and got a seafood chowder which was better. The key lime pie was a big chunky slice, and it was smooth and good!! Our waitress was new, but very nice. She was still learning so we were patient with her. There's a kiosk on the table if the waiter disappears where you can order more food or call someone to the table, you also pay your tab through the kiosk. All in all it was a nice little vibe. Oh Bahama Breeze, this isn't my first time here but soon a lot of the locations are closing so I wanted to give it one last chance. We ordered the crab dip for the appetizer which was good. I ordered the jerk chicken wings and my friend had the shrimp tacos for our entrees. The waitress had forgot to put our order in after she took our order and so we waited forever for the food to come. When the food did arrive it was fresh but lacking flavor. But to my pleasant surprise it was tasty flavorful food! Logistics: plenty of parking, fairly big restaurant as well arrived with a party of around 25 and they accommodated us easily. For a chain restaurant they have a fairly nice drink menu selection, and lots of food options as well. As a side note, we really wanted to have an early lunch on Saturday, day after Valentine's, at PF Changs but the parking is stupid there so on a fast pivot we chose BB. Having never been to this location before we weren't sure what to expect seating wise. As we entered we were hit with a loud bar scene. I asked the hostess for a table and guess where she wants to put us? In the 1st table behind the barstools. Basically only an aisle buffer between you and those at the bar having a great time. Now, I have no issue with folks having a great time but I don't want their great time to be mine as well. Once I spoke my displeasure at her selection, she took us into the dining area to the first table on the right. I didn't mind it til I discovered our server was also the bartender. Because of this, we had a bit of a wait between each service. The crab dip though did arrive fast and hot. I wish the same could have been said about my sides. I ordered the Pina Colada Shrimp with mash potatoes and fries and hubby ordered the Jerk Chicken Pasta. I never could get him to tell me what was wrong about his lunch as he pretty much threw half of it away once we left the restaurant. I can tell you what was wrong with mine: while the Shrimp were hot & delectable, the mashers & fries were both lukewarm, if that. I ate a few of the Shrimp with hubby consuming 1/4 of his pasta before both of us were full. I left most my of fries but took a few to give to our dogs. All in all, this is a one and done spot for us. Went here around 8:30 pm and sat outside. There was a live musican playing which was nice and it wasn't too crowded, but a decent amount of people were there. Honestly service took a little minute surprisingly so we had a small wait on drinks, but lengthy wait on the food. I ordered the beef empanadas (10/10) and fries on the side (6/10) they were alright. I also had the sunrise moscato sangria (8/10). I enjoyed my meal, but it would've been nice to had received my food sooner and all at once. I received my empanadas after all the other food had each got to the table, so I didn't like that they pretty much had forgot about them. My total was about $30. Came here for date night. I was surprised at how packed it was!! Luckily we had a reservation and were seated quickly. We sat outside and had a great seat for the steel drums. My husband and I had a very nice time here yesterday. The atmosphere is festive and the waitress was wonderful ~ very friendly and very helpful throughout our meal. I ordered a pineapple coconut martini to enjoy while we waited for our appetizer and it turned out delicious! Very refreshing! We started with the Chicken Tostones and really liked all the toppings - very flavorful. We both agreed the plantains were bland, maybe over done, but I would get again because of the delicious toppings. My husband is a tough sell when it comes to shrimp tacos and he said he'd give them five stars! He never says that! LoL He said they were crunchy and you could taste the coconut! The French fries came out nice and hot which we both appreciated. I ordered the Tequila Sunburn Goazed Salmon and loved every bite! I almost finished my whole plate! Tonight was a beautiful night to sit outside, and Bahama Breeze has a wonderful patio setup. Breezes blow through with wind breaks in appropriate places so it the wind stays gentle. Heaters are mounted throughout the deck to make sure the crowd stays warm. Live music is being played gently from the music stand while we sip fruity drinks, grown sexy, and very chill vibes as we wait for our meal. The service was okay. Our waitress seemed to be a little overwhelmed, yet efficient. We both chose shrimp pasta, and it was delicious with all the right island flavorings. It's been awhile since I've been to this location so I stopped by for a late lunch. It was surprisingly busy considering the time but I guess that's a good thing for the restaurant. After about a 30 min wait I got seated and waited on. I ordered a Lemon Breeze lemonade and Jamaican Stuffed Plantain Bowl. The bowl had a whole sweet plantain stuffed with ground beef, yellow rice cheese and cilantro. It also comes with black bean sauce but I got it without it. I was pretty satisfied with my meal. Decided to do takeout at Bahama Breeze last night. Got the Jerk Chicken Pata minus the asparagus and mushrooms. I don't eat mushrooms and usually the asparagus isn't soft enough for me. My friends and I went here on a Monday night, and it was still pretty busy. The hostess took a while to sit with us even though they said they had seats available. The more prominent gentleman asked a couple of questions, and I'm not sure what was going on; the waitress kept asking us if we wanted a seat right at the entryway, and was a half booth, half chair seating. Each time we said no. After a while, we were finally taken back to sit. Our server was terrific! She was fun, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the drinks and food. After dinner, we repeated this combination twice, and we were barely even buzzed. The food was good and came out hot. Hot food is a must. We tried the Skillet-Simmered Jerk Shrimp, and it was flavorful. The Jerk chicken pineapple bowl was good but more on the sweet side. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken, for me, had a lot of beans which made for too much starch. It could have used a little more sauce too. The flavors overall were good but nothing spectacular. Visited with a few friends on a Monday afternoon for Happy Hour. Bahama Breeze runs happy hour Monday - Friday 4-6p where they offer half price appetizers and discounted drinks. My group of 4 was seated quickly as it wasn't busy and we got our drink orders in right away. They also have the table side kiosk where you can place orders as well but we tried that a few times for drinks and it seemed like they came slower when ordered that way, probably because our waitress wasn't aware we had placed the orders so she wasn't exactly keeping her eye on the bar. Anyways, on to the food! We solely ordered appetizers and were pleasantly full afterwards with leftovers to take home. I recommend the Beef Empanadas (4ct) and the chicken Tostones (picture nachos but fried plantains instead of chips). Everything was great and I would definitely come back to get a good deal on food. The drinks however were not that strong. Majority of the drinks like the margarita and frozen options are focused more on the fruity, juice component than the actual alcohol. They look pretty but don't pack a punch. One of my friends ordered a mojito and said it was strong though. Overall I had a pleasant visit here for Happy Hour! Service was good, food was great, and bathrooms were clean. Bahama Breeze is not bad for a chain restaurant. The food is just okay. I think my favorites are the firecracker shrimp and the spinach artichoke dip. I think the appetizers are the best part of the menu. The entree meals are nothing special. The flavors don't wow me. The jerk chicken is okay, lacking deeper flavor. I do have to say the drinks are pretty good. I had the mojito which was tasty. They were very accommodating for our big group. It did take awhile to get served after we were seated. As we were seated outside, we enjoyed the sounds of a steel drum performer playing Caribbean music and it was absolutely beautiful, it created a wonderful summer vibe. Our drinks came out pretty fast and the food didn't take too long to come out either. I ordered the Blackened Mahi Tacos while my boyfriend ordered the Coconut Shrimp Tacos. To be totally honest, I wasn't expecting a stellar meal. We wanted reasonably priced, quick and easy and a chain seemed the way to go. We had never been to a Bahama Breeze before, so decided to give it a shot. We came on a weekend night (Sunday) and only waited about 5 minutes to be sat. We ordered both appetizers and entrees, but passed on cocktails for this meal, although their cocktail menu seemed fun and the drinks around looked good! For appetizers, we tried the Yuca Cheese Sticks and the Crab Dip. Both were good, but we both preferred the Yuca Cheese Sticks. The Crab Dip could have been a larger portion for the price. For entrees, we shared the Jerk Shrimp Pasta and the Grilled Chicken with Cilantro Crema. The pasta dish was disappointing. We couldn't taste "jerk" anywhere. It was bland shrimp served with bland alfredo. No spice in sight. However, the grilled chicken was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection, super juicy and tender, and the sauce was delicious.
