OK... so along with bagels, Pizza is the food New Yorker's miss the most. Bravo comes super close to NY quality pizza. Thin crispy crust... not too much sauce or cheese, great. Try the Roma pizza with ricotta and sliced tomato! Yum! I heard the owners were originally from Queens... not sure about that. Regarding the other meal options....the sauce is great and they give ample portions so you can save leftovers for one or two more servings. My son loves the spaghetti with meatballs. Not up to their usual standards tonight. Husband's sausage sandwich Was light on the sausage and our sausage and pepperoni stromboli was really a sausage stromboli with pepperoni. The sausage one comes with onions and peppers which we did not want but got anyway cuz they did not make a sausage and pepperoni one....they made a sausage one and added pepperoni.Will b we taking that back tomorrow for a sausage and pepperoni one, just like I ordered. Appalling Service!! We walked in and found a seat even though it was busy. Eventually a few other tables opened up as we sat there. A waitress came over after 5 minutes and handed us a menu and told us our waitress would be right with us. We sat for 15 min and still no waitress. I watched as 2 other waitresses scurried around waiting on new customers as they came in. Now mind you we are wondering why nobody has even spoken to us since we were given the menu. Finally after another 10 minutes our waitress walks to the table next to and starts taking their. She looks up says "I'll be with you". She took their order which seemed that was an ordeal and walked up to put the order in the machine. I watched as she did a hunt and peck to put in the order. Now mind it was now going on 20++ minutes. We were being really patient. She finally finished putting their order in and then disappeared. We got up and walked out. Went to this restaurant with my family of 2 kids to try their pizza and boy were we disappointed! We waited for an hour and no pizza to be seen. My poor boys were falling asleep on the table from all the waiting. Server kept coming by and saying "it's coming I promise". We sat down at the same time as the table next to us. They ordered, got served their pizza, ate, and were paying when I had enough. After all that waiting my family and I had to walk out, the server didn't even offer us to take it to go or nothing...they simply don't care. Well, if you are from the NY/NJ area, you will be readily disappointed by their pizzas. $21 for a sausage and extra cheese pie? And as for the extra cheese...hardly! The dough doesn't taste freshly tossed (probably isn't) - almost reminds me of a Pizza Hut pizza. Bland and boring. Toppings also sucked. Cheese tasted extremely processed and the sauce was from a can. OK, I know this is FL, but this place could try harder. Was it bad? Not so much, but it was not pizza like I know it up north. Oh, and the young guy with the shaped eyebrows behind the counter apparently not on the clock pouring himself and drinking wine in front of the customers was real tacky and displayed poor customer service. I must of just had a bad experience that day. This was during the day and was in there with a buddy, we were the only ones in there. The waitress didn't look like she wanted to be there. I ordered a Sprite and got a Coke. She brought it to the table and disappeared for 20 min. I ordered roasted red peppers on my large pie and got green peppers. Just ok. Service was good. Complimentary Garlic knots were good. Side salad was bigger than expected. Chicago Deep Dish pizza was just not up to par. First off, deep dish apparently means very thick crust with very thin toppings. Cheese wasn't near enough to even cover the pizza and very skimpy on the pepperoni and mushrooms. What an amazing find. The pasta we got was the carbonara and baked ziti with meatballs. Both were served hot and had great sauce and taste was great as well. We also ordered a sausage pepperoni onion pizza which was great as well. The crust was thin and crispy and the cheese was just the perfect amount. Even got a double bottle of wine for $28. Personal opinion is who puts dried out breaded fried chicken strips on a chicken, artichoke, onion and spinach pizza? Also who puts white onions on a pizza..? Should be red onions.. I should have asked before ordering if meatballs were made at the store, but picked the meatball sub. The meatballs were spongy and didn't appear to have any meat. When the waitress came over I asked if they were made onsite, she laughed and said oh no they're frozen and so are the stuffed shells and ravioli. To make matters worse I also ordered the Italian Wedding Soup and instead of the tiny meatballs I've had everywhere else, there were the frozen ones chopped up in chunks. I was very disappointed. Ordered my pizza with peperoni, onion and mushroom for take out. When taking the first piece to put on my plate the sauce and toppings slid right off leaving me holding only the crust. Putting the ingredients back on board I took my first bite. Only customers in restaurant, ordered pizza, then two other tables were seated. Server took drink order then after approximately 15 minutes the wrong pizza was brought to table by another server. A party of one had been served, finished and left. The other table had multiple dishes served including pizza. Had difficulty getting servers attention. She told us the delivery person took our pizza by mistake. Took over 45 minutes to bring our pizza. Another party came in and both servers were at their table bringing water, drinks and salad within a few minutes and apparently they were regulars. Second time we have eaten here, the food is good but the service is lacking. We told the server it was her responsibility to check on our food order, which she was aware we came in first and she admitted such. Ordered delivery pizza at 6:32pm they called at 7:18 pm to say they were lost. We have them directions where to go, and then 15 minutes later sent the delivery driver a text with a pin of the directions and at 8:05 still no pizza. We called them to ask for a refund and they said they could not do one but offered to make new pizzas and deliver them (even though they could not deliver our originals). Then the manager got on the phone and was very disrespectful and said I can give you free pizza tomorrow but not tonight! This sounds like the explanation of a third grader! Contrary to another reviewer, I grew up in NJ and lived in NY for 7 years, and have lived here in Florida for 3 years. I have gone to several pizza places trying to find great pizza, and I found it here at Bravo. Their pizza has a thin, crispy crust and is just yummy! We haven't tried any of the Italian dishes as of yet (they do seem a bit overpriced for this kind of place), but were very, very pleased with the pizza and the complimentary garlic knots. I had the worst experience tonight at Bravo in Sumpter landing. My husband and I decided we would try Bravo. I ordered a personal pepperoni pizza and he ordered a calzone with NO ricotta cheese. My personal pizza came out first after about 20 minutes, but it was plain cheese. So I had to send it back. Then my husband calzone came out and it had ricotta cheese! So he had to send his back. Then mine came back out and it was finally right, but I had to eat while my husband was waiting for his to come out..so we didn't even get to enjoy the experience together. So when the bill came out there was not comp of any sort..like everything was just fine. So I bring the bill to the cashier and tell her that we were not able to enjoy the meal together and both items were wrong. She called the owner over and he was strait RUDE!! He said he didn't know what I wanted since we ate the food. He said he wouldn't comp anything and didn't apologize for our SHIITTY experience. He said he didn't care what kind of bad review he was going to get. My review would be no stars, but that is not an option! My family is new to the area and we were eager to find a good pizza place! We stopped here on a Friday night at 5:30. The place is small and was packed at the time, thought it was a good sign! The service is horrible. My husband and I came with our two youngest boys and ordered 1 large pepperoni pizza. 30 minutes later, no pizza! The waitress kept telling my 4 year old son "it's coming" as he was falling asleep waiting! I couldn't tell you how the pizza is because ours never came. :( Unfortunately, no one apologized, no offer to box up the pizza to go, no nothing!
