Why did I come in? I don't know. But I did. And I saw a mix of old time bodeguita (google it) and supermarket. It had a premium too: hot food to go. I saw pork on the hot trays and it looked good, and there was yuca, yellow rice, rice and beans and white rice. Man, if you miss rice, this is paradise. I don't know the food prices, but everything here is cheap, so I would say cheap also. I came looking for Peruvian products, and a Hispanic supermarket would be a good start, therefore I found a few of the things that I needed. The place is somewhat small but well assorted. I truly fell in love with the fruit section, because it looks like any fruit stand in Latin America, and good prices, like a bundle of sugar cane (good for everything, basically) for like $2, versus $3 for one stick of sugar cane at our well lit, clean and preppy "super" market chains. Bottom line: you save money, stick it to the man. Nice people too, and a bunch of weird stuff. Excellent for kids.

Nice little market place to find all those authentic needs! I got some goodies and the basic necessities cooking wise. Good place to stop in they also have hot and ready food to go and coffee!

Pleasantly surprised to see that I have a Bravo Supermarket within a few miles from home. I thought Bravo supermarkets where only seen in Kissimmee. Hadn't seen one since I moved to Orlando. Bravo is Hispanic chain supermarket that has continued to grow with success. Now here's the thing with Hispanic Supermarkets in the states... they live up to the stereotype of having a bit of everything inside. I mean, this specific location has even a Jewelry store inside. Lol! I swear, at least In Puerto Rico, supermarkets are not like this. Nevertheless, it's convenient, I guess. Oh, and what grocery store wouldn't be complete with their own cafeteria? Yup, Latin American, mostly Caribbean food prepared daily! Yummers! Now I always get excited when I learn of a grocery store that sells Latin American products since there are a lot of products I miss from my homeland. So when driving down Colonial, I saw this place from afar, I had to make a stop, since I recently ran out of my favorite crackers to have with cheese. Stopped and everything I expected to find was here! Got my crackers and they were on sale!! They also have a lot of Puerto Rican seasonings such as the well known "Adobo" and the great, freshly made, "sofrito". Plus, Staff was welcoming and friendly. While looking for a product, an employee offered help directing me to where I could find it. Knocking off a star since this place could use some TLC. Like most ethnic supermarkets on the states, aisles seem crammed and everything seems like it's about to fall on top of you. Other than that, I'm happy with this place!

This particular location, the Publix near Lake Eola, is not a location I shop FREQUENTLY, but it is one that I pass through more than some other locations. It is centrally located, making it fairly easy to get to. It has FREE parking underground - which is a perk in that area because street parking, pending the day and time, can get a bit tricky to find. The staff is usually always kind. Since it is near Lake Eola, this location does get a lot of foot traffic, so at times, it can get congested. It is a bit smaller than some other locations, but again, you can get a good amount of what you need here. Outside of that, it's your standard grocery store.

My biggest tip is to get there before 11 a.m.--the parking lot fills up fast and can get a little chaotic later in the day. The store is consistently well stocked with everything on my shopping list, including all of my Trader Joe's favorites, and I rarely have to deal with empty shelves. The crew members are always friendly, helpful, and keep things running smoothly. Even when the store is busy, the checkout process is quick and seamless thanks to how efficiently they move the lines. If you're shopping at this location, an early morning visit is definitely the way to go.

While yes, it has quite a lovely exterior and by comparison it is a larger than average footprint, it's just so crowded at all times. And because the parking is so egregious, you're just out in a bad mood from the get go. I've had visits where I had to circle the lot for more than 20 min just to find parking. It's the tourist TJ and I'm sure that's a massive contributor to how busy it is but out of the two I try to avoid this location at all costs. I find it confusing too because this was my go-to grocery store when I did my College Program in 2019 at the height of Trader Joe's mania and it was never as busy as it always is now. Don't be mad at this location be mad at TJ for only having two options in such a rapidly growing city. I can't believe there isn't an option in Winter Garden.

It took this guy 2 hours to collect 13 items, about 30 minutes to check out, and another hour to finally get on the road. I'm literally 2 miles away. I'm watching the map and it says he's finally 4 minutes away... then I get a text saying "delivery attempted." !!!! I text the driver Marcellus and he blatantly ignored me for 20 minutes. Walmart+ said it has up to 48 hours to complete delivery... WHAT AN INANE POLICY when I'm guessing 70% of deliveries are GROCERIES. I had cold & frozen items in my order. I wasn't waiting. I get to Walmart around 11:30 pm just fuming. I will say W+ customer service was apologetic and quickly canceled my order... but then I still have no groceries. Sooo in my pajamas, exhausted, I get my stuff. I check out, I ask for a manager bc idk how a grocery delivery service can let such egregious behavior ride from an employee. He looked at me like I had 3 heads, and wouldn't even turn to face me when I was telling him how crazy unacceptable this was -- given I was ordering FOOD. What if I didn't have my own transportation...? Would it be acceptable to let someone just go without eating bc Marcellus decided he just wasn't delivering my groceries that night & he was aware of the W+ policy that states he has up to 48 hours to complete the delivery????? How many seniors shop at Walmart????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Here's the funny thing, one of my very first jobs 22 years ago was an overnight Walmart associate in KY where I'm from.... I KNOW Walmart policy inside & out. Management & Marcellus basically ignoring a customer goes against pretty much the entire mission statement, employee expectations, all of it. I canceled my W+ membership in the parking lot. I had used it quite often in the past 2 years but oh well. I'm still just blown away. I know I'm not one to mince my words, but I stand by what I said bc there would have been consequences for both the manager & Marcellus at the store I worked at. I say this bc I saw long term employees get hit with write ups or even fired for much smaller infractions. Safe to say I broke up with Walmart last night. Why get treated like dirt to save what -- $5, maybe $10? No, thank you.
