Nothing is better than Peruvian rotisserie chicken. Traditionally, it is eaten with fries and a spicy sauce, but more elegant and sophisticated places serve salad, rice and beans, fried rice, fried yuca, etc. You can eat it however you want, but once you know how to eat it, you will always eat it. Colonel Sanders has nothing on this chicken. There must be at least one more secret spice on this chicken than the 11 the Colonel claims. And even if he could better the spices, this is rotisserie, not fried, so a lot less oil and fat. Sorry Kay-eff-cee. I come here, get a quarter chicken combo, pay $6, and be happy happy happy... I wasn't crazy about the papa a la huancaina, nor have I tried anything else because why? Just eat the chicken, it's good plus it's cheap!

    Brazas Special - 1/4 chicken w/ salad and a side for $9.99

On my second visit to the Marketplace I decided to try out Brazas. It was easy to choose what I wanted because I love a juicy, tender cut of chicken. I ordered the special because a quarter chicken meal is usually perfect for me. For a place with chicken in the name, it better be some good chicken, and let me tell you, Brazas delivered!! DELICIOSO First, my quarter chicken was a HUGE piece. Also, it was cooked to perfection. So tender and flavorful and cut right off the bone, no fighting with it. I dipped some on the cream garlic mayo sauce and was in heaven. The maduros were delicious and hot and the dressing served with the salad was great too. Tasted like a sort of ranch but tasted homemade, not a typical store brand. I will have to ask next time I'm there. And there will definitely be a next time. :)

Peruvian seafood chaufa with Chica Mirada to drink.

Tonight I had the Peruvian seafood chaufa with Chica Mirada to drink. I had them add medium heat to the meal. It was perfect. The server was very attentive even sitting outside. It's a chamber of commerce cool Orlando evening. I got to enjoy the music from the bar several stores down. I highly recommend eating here when you visit us in Avalon Park.

I wanted to really enjoy Brazas. We love Peruvian food, we eat it often, when Brazas was touted as Peruvian we were excited to have one close to home. Brazas began at the Marketplace and moved to it's own space down the street. They have outside seating, maybe 4 tables. Inside there are hi-top tables and regular tables. There is also a bar and noticed a freezer with ice cream, I think. The bathrooms are clean, glad to see there are toilet seat paper covers. Since it was early, not many people, we had our choice of seating. We were served canchita, (unpopped corn kernels), with a trio of sauces, chimichurri, mayo and huacatay(Peruvian mint sauce). I am a fan of this corn and could munch on them all day. Our go to orders at Peruvian spots are chaufas, lomo saltado and jaleas. I noticed pollo saltado and was intrigued and decided to order. We also got the jalea fish. The pollo(chicken) in the dish had a weird texture, gummy. The flavor was also not what I expected, which is salty, umami of soy sauce and chili peppers. They were lacking. I was raised with, "eat what is on your plate," so I tried, I ate more, tried it with the white rice and the fries, didn't help. The chicken texture through the entire dish off. The jalea(fried fish) with yucca fries dish was better. The fish & yucca were nicely fried, no greasy mess. The fish was flaky and fresh. The yucca fries, slightly crispy outside, fluffy inside, were even greater dipped in the chimichurri sauce. The side of white rice and beans was also good. Our server was nice, helpful answers to our questions and friendly. We will return to give Brazas another chance, maybe order they chicken and the chaufas. Will update review.

Free house appetizer! Cancha & 4 sauces: Mayonesa, Huacatay, Aji Amarillo (non-spicy in wood bowl) and Rocoto (spicy in metal)

Nice holes in the wall restaurant with great food and friendly servers. Peruvian cuisine I've tried so far consists of tasty marinaded rotisserie chicken, steak fries, maduros (sweet plantain), Inca cola, mango juice and salad (greens, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber) and all homemade sauces including the house ranch salad dressing. The appetizer is a crunchy cancha (fried corn) with 4 different sauces to choose from, my favorite is the mayonesa (tastes like garlic aioli) and the aji amarillo (non spicy). They're always playing lively happy Spanish music with music videos in the tv screens. Their food is a must try!!!

    Seafood Chaufa

This dish was really good. I think next time would try chicken given that is their specialty. Server was very nice and attentive. This is a small place but they also have outdoor seating.

Brazas is the place for authentic Peruvian cuisine. The restaurant was clean. It has big TVs to watch football games around the bar which is a big plus. I had the seafood chaufa since it's not ordinarily seen in restaurants in the US. It did not disappoint! They are very generous with the seafood. The tostones are a big hit and they are made fresh. I will be returning soon!

Fantastic food, only thing I didn't like was the automatic tip, I'm sorry but a tip is measured on performance.

In the ensuing sixty plus years, Pizza Hut has become a global business. All in all, not too shabby and something that Kansas should be proud of. It can rank right up there with the fact that Dorothy after visiting the wondrous Land of Oz just wanted to return home to Kansas. I consider these pizza chains to be akin to the fast food version of pizza. I mean that they provide a reasonable facsimile of pizza, but miss the little points that make pizza such a culinary wonder and instead sacrifice that for an attempt at consistency across their chains and offer a product that people will still buy even.though they can probably get better at an independent pizzeria. This particular location is in the heart of Avalon Park and have several pizzerias in the area, but this location has survived that and remain a viable business in the neighborhood. All in all, I will give this particular location three stars.

It was hot and ready when I got there. I'm pretty sure this pizza break can be credited for keeping my son from complaining about all the chores I had him doing yesterday. So thank you to the school and Pizza Hut for that! ;) Being a small pan pizza and the fact I don't eat dairy means I didn't try it, but my son enjoyed it.

Wow!!! This place was amazing!!…read more It was a first time visit for us, and this restaurant is located in a well-lit shopping strip on Narcoossee, just a few minutes from the 528. This place was a vibe, so much so that we are actually supposed to go to a neighboring restaurant last night; however after driving past this place, we had to change our plans. The food was exceptional. Between my wife and I, we split 1 entree and shared an appetizer. My wife isn't very adventurous when it comes to eating but for whatever reason caved in when the server suggested their octopus as an appetizer. That appetizer was super unique!! It was basically this extremely thin octopus swimming in this very delicate layer of ceviche, with an accompanying side of wantons. For our entree we ordered the Rissoto with braised beef. This was most excellent with a very flavorful 8-hour slow cooked beef with a sweet flavor, whose flavors were contrasted by the very amazing rissoto. I initially ordered a Coke, but ended up trying their Peruvian crème soda which was maybe the best crème soda I'd ever tried! My wife ordered a sweet rum that was red and had this awesome smoke bubble on it as it was presented to the table. Our server, Gabriela (Gabi) was very friendly and most assistive and patient as we asked a few more questions than normal as we'd never tried Peruvian food before. She was pretty attentive to our table and remained kind and professional. We were so happy last night after our dinner that we went ahead and booked our daughter's 18th birthday dinner here for early March when we'll bring 18 of our relatives from out of town back here to enjoy what we did last night. Great great find!! Cannot wait to go back!

Drinks during happy hour, lunch, or dinner are always a win & the espresso martini is great! First time trying the duck and it was so good, I even took some home. The shrimp salad? Spectacular (I may be biased, I love salads & shrimp). Service is always attentive and friendly. A bit pricey, but always worth it.
