Its a brewery in a small town. Its nithing spectacular but the people are nice and the beer is cold. I dont think you can really mess it up unless the beer was nasty. I tried an flight which they have some really good IPA's. If I feel.like hoping off the freeway coming or going to Houston from San Antonio, I would come back

Great find in downtown Columbus. Good beer, good food, good atmosphere, and great friendly service. If you're a fan of brews and happen to be in, or going through, the Columbus area, Hound Song Brewing is worth the stop.

Outstanding brewery and eatery in the heart of Columbus. Well worth your time off the interstate. Fantastic atmosphere, great beers, and delicious food. The staff and owners are super helpful and friendly. This place has been a regular stop for us for over a year and we have enjoyed it every time.

I adore this place! Love everyone who works there. Always has fun events and good food with seasonal menus. I am not a beer drinker so I can't comment on that but it's worth the stop. The patio is also dog friendly!

M'lady and I date-nighting at Hound Song. They made us love BRUSSEL SPROUTS! Not an easy task.

Hound Song is a MUST VISIT. Their brewmaster is just that...and old-world MASTER of the craft named Travis who's really has put in the work. Their food is as good as their beer (if there is higher praise, tell me and I will use it). We have gone on normal days and special events and the folks at Hound Song have never let us down. Family friendly, games, drinks, food, and people happy to be working there who realize that there could not be a more fun gig that getting paid to pour customers excellent beer.

This is my first time going here. We went because my friend saw a flyer about Yoga with Peggy once a month, and it comes with a free beer/cider. I tried the Passion Fruit-Orange-Guava Hard Seltzer and found it to be really crisp, light, and refreshening, perfect for a hot summer day, so much that I ordered another one after I finish that one! I didn't try any other beverages so not much help here I suppose. We did however order the Pretzel Rolls/buns with Pimento Cheese as our dip and they were really good. I brought one home to my son and he wanted more! They are kinda like a dinner roll: same size, soft and warm on the inside but the top has that pretzel appeal. My friend got the Mezza Plate and was content (it has tzatziki & hummus to dip the bell pepper, carrot, and celery slices in, plus pita and Kalamata olives). They have indoor (rustic irregular shaped wood tables for 4 people & and some bar stools), and outdoor seating (covered from patio facing the main road). Yoga was in the large back room which has a rustic flair, its wide open, concrete floors, band stage in the corner, long wooden bar, and the restroom location. I would definitely return. Staff was nice and pleasant. Reasonably priced! And they have a reward system for purchases! Brewery is on a corner with Parking is on the street along the side. This is not a Huge Brewery, this is more of a local hotspot, hangout. Just the way I like it! Quaint and LOCAL!

I have visited breweries and micro breweries all over the United States and this is one of the top-notch establishments I've been in. An awesome selection of brews and signature brews. This along with outstanding food. The ambience is very relaxing, fun with a dog friendly environment and very interesting. History to boot. We will certainly be going back there again outstanding service.

Rueben sandwich was great. Big enough to share.

Finally made our way here from Schulenburg. Just a quick 30 mins away. Great beer, excellent food, friendly team serving you up. Will definitely be back with a bigger crew. Fun place to show off.

Great beer, have unique hard seltzers plus some awesome wine. I'm a huge fan of their Sweet Boy Leroy (?) wine. Food is fresh and extremely good. Husband loves the burger. I've tried various things from the menu and all have been great. Their seasonal fall pasta salad is my current go to side. Would highly recommend!

I have visited HOUND SONG several times. I have enjoyed their BREWS and their FOOD. The building has a unique history. A++.

Arguably one of the greatest foods ever invented. Atleast in my world. How can you go wrong with bread filled with sweet or savory fillings? Hruska's is about halfway between Houston and Austin and a perfect rest stop to fill up on gas, use the clean facilities, grab a snack or indulge in their amazing baked goods. They are steeped in history and have been around for decades passing along the family recipes. It's obviously improved structurally over the years from a country store and looks like a modern gas station now. It's always pretty busy every time I have stopped in, but they are a well oiled machine and keep the masses moving with excellent customer service. They have all your gas station essentials like snacks and beverages. What sets them apart is their bakery. Here, they label their kolaches as the traditional fruit filled variety. I like them, but they are never my first choice. I love the ones with meat inside. Here, they label these as pigs in a blanket. They have a large variety of both. I usually go for a regular sausage and cheese, but over here, they sell a delicious pan sausage kind. On top of all their sweet and savory baked goods, they also sell burgers on the grill. Their burgers have made it to the Texas Monthly Top 50 burger spots. I have yet to try it. Overall, this is an always stop place for me. I highly recommend stopping here to stretch your legs and enjoy a delicious pastry while you're at it. I will definitely be back.

What an experience! I decided to stop here for a burger and a shake on the way home from Houston…read moresince I had once tried the Texas Burger in Madisonville and liked it. First there was the drive-thru. The speaker doesn't work, there is no sign warning you, and somehow you are supposed to know what you want when you get to the window. Fine for those regulars familiar with the menu but they have no paper menu to look at when you get there. So the kid starts reciting it. To make it easy I ordered a double Texas burger dry with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and lots of onion. Kid didn't know what flavor ice cream for the shake they had, so he had to go look and memorize the flavors So I pay and wait. My receipt comes back saying no onion after ordering extra and nothing about dry. So they had to remake the burger and give a proper receipt. Everything was a big production, a comedy of errors by a completely clueless and incompetent crew with no adult supervision. I ate my burger while waiting for my shake and it was good. But I surely wouldn't recommend using the drive thru. Yelp was down for service else I'd have checked in. The business shares a spot with Subway and was hard to find as signage is poor despite being near the freeway.

The place was crowded and a little slow. They shared space with subway and even shared cookies, which made me happy. I love subway cookies. It took awhile for the food to be ready. I stood while waiting. The inside was clean enough, floor a little sticky but I got my food to go. Got to the car to eat. The burger was very good and huge. It was like a homemade burger with premade patties. Lots of fresh veggies and good flavor. I couldn't finish it all but ate quite a bit. The fries and chocolate chip cookie were good. The drink was super weak. I got a Diet Coke. I would recommend getting the burger cut in half to eat in the car. It was huge.

The Stone Cellar is to the left and from there you can just order the food from the counter, whereas the lounge you will get table service. Given that this place also hosts live music, trying it out during the day when there wasn't a band (or crowds) made for an enjoyable lunch outing. I would say the menu has pub/bar fare and given that we were both craving pizza and a hamburger, we decided to order one of each to split. The staff also mentioned the Fried Gouda Bites are popular, so we opted for those as well. Let's start with the latter - the Fried Gouda bites were amazing, everything you could expect from freshly deep-fried cheese, decadent and tasty, these are a must order. For the burger, we ordered The Standard, and as the name suggests, their standard burger (I call these "diner-style") and my brother and I both agreed - this is damn near the perfect burger and the best one I've had in quite some time. It was just the perfect amalgamation meat, condiments, and sauce, with a delicious bun holding it all in together. Finally, the margarita pesto pizza was also great - crispy thin crust and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. So, don't overlook the Stone Cellar as a place to go see some live music, it has some amazingly delicious food as well. We will be back next year.
