Big shout out to Sam and his willingness to get the job done! After calling dozens of heating shops who said "no" to come out and service our 1956 floor furnace, Brea/Orange County Pluming, heating and AC took to the job and sent the right man to get it done. Without a jumpsuit, Sam got right down under into our crawl space to see why our thermostat wasnt responding to kick on the furnace. He confirmed the microwatt signal was weak and could have simply concluded that the pilot generator was the problem. But he asked the right questions, wasnt satisfied with a simple conclusion and wanted to get the heat going for us ASAP. Without hesitation (unlike other companies that didnt want to send a tech to crawl under our house to assist us), Sam was eager to check it out. Same experience as others that have called on a Sunday. We had a leak on Sunday night and needed help. I called the number on here and was connected to a call center. I provided all of my information and the operator informed me that the on call person would be notified and they would call me back directly. I never received a call back, text, nothing. A couple of pointers to management or anyone that reads these things. You need to follow up with your Sunday night on call staff and check to see if they actually respond to after hour requests. It's called an audit! Secondly, how do you not track calls for service. Meaning, if no one was available Sunday night then why didn't someone call to notify me. I will not be using this company and will not recommend. Lastly, don't claim that you have 24/7 service when you clearly do not. read more

I would like to thank HVAC Tech Robert Rodriguez for his expertise in successfully diagnosing and repairing our old (1950's) Grove Model 57 floor furnace today. Robert was very methodical in diagnosing and explaining (in simple terms) each step he took in order to repair the old heater. He had to go underneath the house into the dirt crawlspace, remove and replace the original gas valve and regulator, wire everything up correctly, and tested the floor furnace multiple times to make sure it was working properly. Other companies I called stated that they do not service old floor heaters or never returned my calls. Robert stated that he has worked on 3 previous old floor heaters and they were repaired successfully. Great service and very professional. I had to make the dreaded weekend hours call to the plumber. Spoke to a tech and described the problem which I thought was a slab leak. Tech advised he would have a tech come out Monday which was the next day to diagnose it. He walked me through a couple of temporary fixes so he wouldn't have to come out and charge me the after hours fee. That alone was really professional being he could of easily come out and charged me. Dave the tech came out Monday with his partner and diagnosed the problem which was a bad water heater and bad pipe work by the builder. He also found a leaky toilet. Once everything was discussed he said he could return the next day and do all the work which he explained would save me a service fee being he would not fix one thing one day and then another the next day. That's professional when again I would have paid being I don't know the business. I was given a fair price and Dave came out on time and fixed everything fast. He was very professional and explained and showed all his work and walked me through everything he and his partner had done. Great work Dave! And work areas where left very clean. When a company has ethics and doesn't just want to take your money, that's the company I want to keep around. I would recommend Dave and his company to anyone in need of a plumber. I have been using Brea Plumbing and Heating for many many years. They've never failed to fix the problem. Just this Sunday night (right at the holiday time no less), they were called out on an emergency. They arrived quickly (especially when you consider it was Sunday night on a weekend right before a major holiday). Eli, who responded this time, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within 20 minutes. He then stayed while I tried all the sinks, toilets, showers, etc; to make sure everything was flowing correctly. I highly recommend them for North Orange County. read more

I can't say enough about how helpful Josh was. My air was out and another ac company came out and gave me a ridiculous quote. Josh came over at 8pm, took a look and fixed my ac in less than an hour. This was after the first guy told me I needed a replacement. Josh was friendly and professional. My ac is on the roof and he even took pictures of the problem so he could show me. He was honest and it was clear he really knew what he was doing. When he left, I told him he had a customer for life. We have used them several times to snake our sewer line which gets clogged often. They have sent the same guy the last 3 times and he has always been helpful and nice. When we call they come within a few hours, and within their call time. The only issue is they are a little more expensive, but I think they provide prompt service and good quality, which you have to pay for. We pay around $225 each time for them to clean out the line, and I think it's about 60 feet from our clean out to the street where the clog usually is. read more

Brea plumbing came out to my house today for a clogged washing machine drain. They responded within a couple hours on a Saturday. Michael was the tech. He was very polite and a hard worker. He fixed my drain relatively quickly and they only charged $165. I had a coupon for $20 off so threw total bill was $145. Good job, i recommend them. read more

I recently purchased a property in La Habra and needed to find a reliable plumber to replace a water valve for my new fridge. I utilized yelped and found Brea/ Orange County Plumber, Heating, and Air Conditioning. When I spoke plumber "M." (Morcio). Plumber M originally quoted me $110 for parts and labor. I confirmed the appoint for a couple days later. Upon arrival Plumber M indicated that the cost of repair is not $110, $110 would simply be the cost for the plumber to come out and assess the issue and I would need to pay an additional fee for parts and labor. You can imagine the disappointment . Keep in mind I'm very detailed in regards to what needed to be accomplished and what I would need from the plumber during our original conversation. I then asked Plumber M well what is it going to be the total cost to replace the water valve (parts and labor). Plumber M explained it would be $173. I saw a Groupon for the location purchase $100 and received $150 credit. I figured I would be paying $13 more than what I originally expected, in turn I purchased the Groupon . Once the task was completed I explained I purchased a Groupon though Yelp. Plumber M mentioned he would get back to me. Plumber M then explains the total amount for the replacement of water valve was $213.71 . At this point you can imagine the frustration . I asked for an explanation. Plumber M further explained he needed to figure out what was analyze what was wrong , the parts, and labor. Now I am shocked, I explained to plumber M what was exactly wrong and it took him less than a 15 minutes to replace the water valve itself. Plumber M took longer to process payment then to actually replace the valve. My experience was quite upsetting. The principle of the entire situation was just mind blowing, I definitely had to share this on Yelp. I hope that this is just one bad incident that doesn't define the company polices and processes. read more

UPDATE: I have done business with them , and was disappointed as at one point, they didnt call or show up for a repair appointment. However, this is rare for this to happen with them. After I calmed down, I did call them, and they did repair my a/c (again). In hindsite, I wish I had purchased my system with them. My "warrantied system" has not been honored by original company. It is less than 2 years old. Brea O/C (Tony and Paul) have repaired it twice. Thier last visit the techs arrived within the time. It took a while, but my a/c is up and working. The techs were professional, and kept me informed of the progress. I would recommend this company. read more
