I live in a condo building and unfortunately sewage happens. And when it does, it's on weekend. We've had Western Rooter come out and do the service to hydro jet the pipes. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful on location. They explained everything helped determine where the blockage was and made sure the pipes were flowing again. I assume their prices are reasonable, but unfortunately, it does cost more on weekends. My sewage pipes have no idea what day of the week it is. If you were reading this, it is probably too late, but remind your tenants or neighbors or whoever uses your toilets, not to flush wipes, no matter what the package says. read more

I just want to say that James Hamilton from Western Rooter rocks! About a week ago I had issues with my dual flush toilet. I initially called all city plumbing because of previous work done on a garbage disposal and good reviews it had on other stuff. Well, they came and without diagnosing the problem, they wanted to replace my toilet with a new one at about $1600. When I said no, he said the service to replace my parts would be roughly $649. That's a hard pass! I called Western Rooter and James arrived for the rescue. I told him the problem and once he confirmed, he replaced the parts that were damaged in less than 10 minutes. The charge was $145 as he estimated. When I told him about the previous quote from all city plumbing, he agreed that it was not only excessive but confirmed I did not need a new toilet. We called them for kitchen sink valve problems this time. They were able to come out the next day and fix our problems and even installed an extra valve to turn the water off just to the dishwasher. This could be very useful in the future. It did cost over $400 for 2 valves, which may be a little expensive, but it is worth the peace of mind. read more

Hired Western Rooter twice over the past two years for pinhole leaks. Both times crew were on time and got the job done (leak detection and then pipe replacement). However, I didn't feel pricing was reasonable. The first time it was over $1000, the second was over $1700, $275 of it is for leak detection, so the rest is for replacing the pipe. read more

A day later different young man came explained that Josph got tied up on a prior job and he would do the project. Next thing I know he's back in about an hour stating job completed. Highly recommend this plumbing business. Our shower drain clogged on a Sunday night. Couldn't get to it with my snake, so I made an online appt through the Western website. Received good text communications throughout, including confirming appt request, scheduling the appt, name of technician who would do the work, timing of appt for 9-11AM the following morning and then confirming they on the way. Even got a phone call from technician, Justin G, that he was in route. Upon arrival, he and his assistant, quickly unclogged the drain, reassembled everything and wiped down the bathroom floor. They were in an out of our house in 20 minutes. Cost was $125. Totally fair. No aggressive upselling or identifying questionable plumbing issues. They over charge for simple task of fixing a leaking faucet. Their technician says they start pricing at $230 plus extra cost for parts. I decided to fix the sink myself and have a male friend help, which saved me $230. It was easy, bought parts at home depot, replaced old parts with new ones and fixed the leak. The technician Robert was nice and had he quoted me a reasonable price I would have used him, however he didn't so I would not recommend Western Rooter. They are rip-off. Stay away. read more

Western Rooter worked with us several years ago to replace the line from the house to the sewer in the middle of the street. Not a small undertaking! We were happy with the communications, they explained each step before starting it, and had videos of damaged and clogged areas. They arrived on time each day and cleaned up each day. Other plumbing companies charge for the initial inspection. Another standout is that they service apartments and condos, which can be surprisingly difficult to find in a plumbing company. Shoutout to Kevin, who helped diagnose and fix my leaky toilet. He called ahead with his ETA, arrived on time, and quickly assessed the issue. Best of all, he didn't try to upsell anything. I called for outdoor drain cleaning, call center said only available on Wednesday, but their text message says Tuesday, a day earlier. The guy came, quoted $150 to start the work, an hour later, told me $225, final give up, left problem unsolved, but unhesitatingly collected payment. You can't even finished the job. My house is over 100 years old, so I need a plumber I can rely on, and in a timely manner. Alberto can always be counted on to arrive on time and to know how to fix whatever needs fixing. After replacing my garbage disposal he gave me helpful info about how to better maintain it. His work area is left spotless when he's done with the work.
