Moonshine Beach is easily one of my favorite bars in San Diego. If you're into line dancing, beach clubs, the 49ers, or just want a high-energy night out, this is the spot. The staff is a huge part of what keeps me coming back. The bartenders are quick, fun, and engaging even when the place is packed. However, the Moonshine Honeys absolutely crush it every single night and keep the crowd going. They're welcoming, energetic, and a biggest part of what gives Moonshine its personality. Special shout out to Hannah, Rheigan, and Macy for making tonight a blast! DJ Hypha and Kiki always play great music and know how to keep the energy up all night. The large dance floor stays busy, with line dancing and country swing all night on Tuesdays and from roughly 7-10 on weekends before things transition into more of a beach club atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced for Pacific Beach, the venue stays impressively clean considering the crowds, and even when there's a line outside, it usually moves quickly. So whether you're an experienced dancer or have two left boots, Moonshine is an easy place to have a great night. read more

I visited over Fourth of July weekend, and unfortunately had one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a bartender. From the beginning, this bartender was incredibly rude to my group. I ordered a $10 drink and chose not to leave a tip. Instead of simply moving on, he made an offensive hand gesture toward me. Later, my friend ordered a $6 canned beer. All the bartender did was open the can, and the suggested tip options were only $0.20, $0.40, or $0.60. My friend chose not to tip, and the bartender became visibly angry. He looked at us and said, "Don't ever come to my bar again. Get out of here with that behavior." We were polite the entire time and simply chose not to tip on very minimal service. Whether someone chooses to tip or not should never result in being insulted by a bartender. On top of that, we over heard he was rude to multiple people throughout the night, not just our group. To make matters worse, he was working in suspenders and underwear, which I personally found unhygienic and unprofessional for someone serving drinks. This bar has potential, but management seriously needs to hire bartenders who know how to treat customers with basic respect. I've been to countless bars, and I've never experienced service this hostile. read more

First time at Moonshine Beach to attend Ty Myers concert! Had an awesome time! Super impressed! The venue is clean and well maintained. The bouncers were friendly and did their jobs well and kept order but still let everyone have a good time! The lines to get in moved fast! Drinks were very reasonably priced and made well! They offered food but although I didn't eat friends did and said the food was good! The sound was excellent and I really enjoyed the concert! One big plus: bathrooms were really clean and monitored throughout the concert! I'll be back for sure! read more

MOONSHINE BEACH @ PACIFIC BEACH One of my favorite spots to go out with my friends, the lines are always out the door, but it's worth the wait! It's a $10 fee on a weekend (+ Friday) and free during the week. There is free hot dog or burritos when you enter (the BEST part), and several parts in the place, there is also Karaoke, takes a while to get up there because it's first come first serve. The space where all the music is feels like a concert, it's huge and has lovely lights and a great atmosphere, sometimes it can get overheated. Overall, I'd come back here for the karaoke and hot dogs, it's the best that a bar/club can give you. Highly recommend stopping by. read more

I try to always come here for 49er games! Been coming here for a few years now and it's always a blast. Even worth the 1.5 hours I have to drive at times if I'm not working out in San Diego. Such a fun vibe from start to finish. For anyone who is new, the doors open an hour before game time (ex. 10am game then 9am opener for loyalty card holders and then 9:30 for non-loyalty). These cards are given out at the very first game of each season so make sure to show up then cause they are a nice perk to have! Half time always has $2 fireball shots so definitely get yourself one of two of those!! read more

We were a group of 10 visiting San Diego from AZ for my sister's Bachelorette Party. This was the last bar we stopped at after dinner and it was the BEST place to end the evening! The bar was really awesome, multiple rooms, karaoke, different music depending on which room you were in and it was soooo fun! This place is larger than it looks from the outside and it was packed!! Our group came in themed/Renaissance outfits and the lady manager came up to greet and congratulate my sister. I spoke with her and she was so fun and excited we were there. She asked for my sisters name cause she said she was going to do a little shoutout. After many, very well crafted shots/drinks, we were all on the dance floor and the DJ did the shoutout and my sister's name and congratulations showed up on the big screen behind the DJ!!! It was dope and such a blast, everyone had a fantastic time and my sister was extremely happy! She even got up on stage and danced her heart out. Thank you to Moonshine Beach for making our night so memorable, and thank you to the manager lady for being so kind and attentive! Went over the weeekend got my first drink of the night no complaints from one bartender I am a college student and ordered a well drink billed 15$. Then I ordered a bucket the next go around for the outrageous prices they charge barely any alcohol. Mostly Ice in the bucket. Moreover the second time to add insult to injury the lady blonde bartender says if you cant tip you shouldnt go out. You give me a drink of low quality and want my bucket to be 24$ and change. You guys have a lack of knowledge in service the tip is earned by Service not automatically given because you did your job. read more

For the rest of the time, it's an open floor with the title of the choreography shown on the back wall. If you know the choreo, then hit the dance floor with everyone else!
