The name says it all. This is a great place to have breakfast or brunch. It is located in a quiet strip mall in the corner of Oak Park where Kanan Rd meets Lindero Cyn Rd. That being said, please be aware that although yelp lists "$" as the price range, the upsell for a proper meal (drink, side(s) and possibly other extras) will most likely put your bill in the "$$" range. Some ridiculous upsell for example, is that the price to add blueberries or chocolate chips to 1 single pancake is the same as for a full stack of pancakes. The problem is the food tastes so good, you cannot resist that upsell. There's something about the pancake batter here that sets the pancakes in a class of their own, well above the major chains and some other mom and pops in the area. If you don't feel like breakfast items, they have burgers and gyros as well. The chili cheese burgers are a very good imitation of the Original Tommy's burgers, except with the added bonus of the patties being cooked over an open flame, so... you get grill marks, and a nice charbroiled taste. The french fries are ok, but I prefer the ones at other locations, and due to the size and thickness of the fries here, I often find they don't get cooked thoroughly. If you are a coffee lover, I recommend the French roast they have here, but I often find it gone by noon and they don't refill often. Employees are very friendly here. Foods good but expensive. Theyre always busy but they dont turn on ac in the summertime. Trying to enjoy breakfast and coffee expect to sweat. Could not enjoy my meal at all today. I came to this place a few times when it first opened up years ago and the food was good. Fast forward to this year, I've been here a few times already and the food is still good and yet to have any issues with the food or service here. It's always been clean everytime I come and get served right away. They probably should have different salsas because the one they have isn't spicy, good but not spicy. Fantastic, as usual. We had a lazy Sunday and decided to go out for breakfast and we were a bit afraid we had missed their open hours. We were greeted with a hearty welcome by the staff of about 8. There were two tables in use and this is the time when sometimes I've been met with the worst service, staff wants to go home, etc, but the exact opposite happened. The (presumed) owner gave us complementary coffee and couldn't have been more friendly and gracious. Food was terrific, service outstanding. read more

We stopped in for lunch today and it was delicious food, fresh made and filling. Completely dog friendly; as we sat outside they not only provided a bowl for water but also also a little sausage for our pup! Relaxed and friendly atmosphere definitely will come back. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in Oak Park. It is a wonderful place to meet your friends for brunch, or to take the family out to for a birthday breakfast. It is very cozy, and a huge part of the Oak Park community. There are fresh flowers on the tables everyday. The owner is almost always there, he very kind and will sometimes give you a free drinks. The food is spectacular, I am particularly fond of the potatoes and the chocolate chip pancakes. I would definitely recommend coming here if you have never been. read more

This is a great place! They are open now and all personnel are wearing masks. You can eat in and they are doing a great job of social distancing. Kenya for a nice breakfast and lunch since I haven't eaten breakfast yet it was nice that they had it served all day. Quite an array of choices and I got the Italian sausage omelette which had real Italian sausage bits in it absolutely amazing! I added bacon of course their Bacon's delicious they're all nuts are also very good size. He made hash browns I got them extra crispy which the way I like them however I did ask for no tomato but the only it did come with some tomatoes but not enough for me to send it back. Their coffee is really good you have a choice of six different kinds so you can play Mixology with coffee. Order at the counter and go pick your seats but make sure to tip them because they're working hard! I used to go to the one in Camarillo but I live in Westlake now so I'd thought I'd try out the oak park one. I love this place it's like a mom and pops breakfast diner very old school but the food is amazing! My friend absolutely loves the breakfast burritos they are his favorite. I've tried a lot of the different menu items and the omlettes are always yummy and I had blueberry waffles for the first time and I think that is my favorite now. I love how I can pay for a cup of coffee and get as many refills as I want especially cause I love my morning cups of coffee. Now everytime I come in, I know the workers and they pretty much know me and I always feel very welcomed and they are very helpful and nice. Would recommend this place to everyone ! read more

What a pleasant surprise! We live in North Ranch and had a little time to grab a bite in between appointments. Right from the beginning the gentleman behind the counter was so nice. He suggested the Mickey Mouse pancakes for my kids, which they both loved. I had a chicken sandwich on a wheat bun that was delicious, and my wife had the zucchini fries and chocolate shake. We also has 2 bottled waters and the owner gave us 2 drinks for the kids on the house. I couldn't believe the bill was a little over 20 bucks! Quality food, great customer service and great prices. Aptly named this is a great little breakfast place. Also good for take out. I can speak to both now as I just went over for breakfast with my niece. I had a Greek omelette and she had the avocado omelette. Mine was tasty and exactly as advertised. Hers looked good with a generous portion of fresh avocado slices on top. A side of potatoes and two different sauces (both tasty) and a substitution for the toast that comes with the meal made for two happy girls. The coffee bar features a nice assortment of coffees and miracle upon miracle, the coffee was actually quite good. We had carry out twice previously and both times we were pleasantly surprised. Great fries and lots of them. (Too many.) And, one of the best tuna melts I've encountered in my travels in a long time. The chicken dish was very good, too. Not a fine dining establishment, but nice people trying hard to please and very fair prices with big portions that can be shared. I agree that this is the best restaurant to come to this location. We sat outside which was really nice since its in a quiet shopping complex. Our food was brought out to us within 15 minutes, maybe less.
