I was really delightfully surprised with breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, cup, and pancake pancakes. My husband had eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit and we both have coffee. We went back today once again looking at more properties and we had to stop and have brunch! It was busy which is great! The eggs were amazing once again I need to know the supplier lol best eggs I have had in 20 years! Coffee was flowing and the ladies that came to our table were all lovely! We said that even if we end up finding a house closer to Tallahassee we will still come back here often! Today hubby tried cinnamon swirl pancakes and he was in heaven lol! He will never have the regular ones again strongly recommend and add some butter apparently that is next level lol! Again ambience is reminiscent of a home style small town amazing place to eat! This is a wonderful breakfast restaurant. They are very busy and close early so come before noon to get a good breakfast. Not overly seasoned so it is great for our stomach sensitive communities. You have to try the train wreck skillet. It is absolutely amazing. Be ready to take some home. It is very quaint and comfortable, they have vintage train items all over the restaurant. I had the garden omelette and it was delicious. Highly recommend. I have family in the area and the minute I arrived they demanded to take me here. The menu here is full of great options and also- great prices that you can't beat. There wasn't anything over $10 on the menu. There was a wait -we went on a sunday morning- but when they said 15/20 minutes they meant it. We were seated in no time. My aunt loves the breakfast skillets here and hers look to die for. I like something sweet for breakfast so I got the cinnamon roll pancakes and they did NOT disappoint! Outstanding to say the least. if i get to go again i'd try one of the benedict's because the table next to ours looked mouth watering. We were visiting the west coast for a couple of days and stayed overnight in Crawfordville. We ate breakfast there both mornings. Depot Breakfast, Cinnamon Swirl pancakes and French toast and coffee were outstanding. Tables had everything you needed (sugar, milk and syrup) for a breakfast. Only thing I had to ask for was Tabasco. Servers were very friendly and attentive. Observed good customer traffic and their local patrons were well knowledged. The train decor was nicely done. I found this spot shortly after moving to Crawfordville early last year. There are a few local spots for breakfast but this is the only one I bring my out of town family to. Wait times get a little long especially if you have a group larger than 4 people. I've always thought it was worth the wait though. I can easily say this is the best spot for breakfast in Crawfordville. Full dIsclosure, my 8 year old says he likes Cracker Barrel better but I'm 90% sure that has to do with the toy shop, not the food. read more

The service was fine My dissapointing was the meal I receive. I ordered the meat Trio skillet and when I received the plate I through someone forgot to add the meat. The ham pieces was cut so small that fitted the teeth of the fork I was using. Same with the sausage and bacon that was triturated. Plenty of potatoes. The eggs was all right. I've always been pleased with the food, but the service is slow but that's a management issue. I had breakfast (the Hobo)on 1-29-2023 and was shocked that everything was cold even the eggs. As a Veteran, I've had worse but I wasn't paying for it while in the military, and speaking of which they don't offer a Military or Veteran discount! However, out of a party of six people who all tried something different, each person said their food was horrible. I ordered a breakfast, while everyone else had lunch items. I love having more choices and the Breakfast Station is a great addition to the morning meal scene in Crawfordville. The dining room is small but feels open and airy. The overall feeling is very clean. Service staff is attentive and friendly. The food comes out hot and fresh. On my visit, I enjoyed an omelette with hashbrowns and a big, fluffy biscuit. Delicious! I chose this location for my son's birthday because of its great yelp reviews. They are taking precautions for Covis19. However, somethings they do contradict the precautions. First, the staff was so friendly! I took an older friend of mine that lives in Crawfordville, and she was greeted and promptly brought her hot chocolate. I was hungry and immediately ordered soup. The soup of the day was cream of broccoli. It came out hot, thick and flavorful! I can't wait to try their chili. My friend ordered the fish sandwich and fries. The fish was a thick piece of fried breaded cod. It looked amazing. If fish and chips had been on the menu that day, I would have ordered that. Her bread was nicely toasted. I ordered the bbq bacon burger, medium rare. I was so pleased that it came out cooked to my preference because some places cook burgers until well done. I didn't notice until after we ordered that they have lunch plates because they were not on the menu. My friend told me that she had gotten liver and onions there before but didn't see the specials. The specials are on a changing monitor that is set up to advertise other places. They had meatloaf, liver an onions and something else. They have fish and chips on Wednesday and Friday. This is not a fancy restaurant nor do they try to be. They serve breakfast and lunch until 3:00.
