Liked this place the first time, that we had to come back for a second, a few days later. A little far from where we were staying, but well worth the drive. We traveled from Texas to Carrabella and had to come to Walmart. With seven of us including four kids we were tired of McDonald's and fast food. We found the breakfast station came in for breakfast. My sister has talked about this place for a while now & since we were in town - breakfast was on the to do list. We waited about 10 minutes for a table for 5 - not bad at all. They were busy for a Sunday morning but everyone was friendly. They have specials before 10am that are a bit cheaper but the regular menu is still a great price for breakfast - especially coming from Atlanta to Crawfordville. The Breakfast Station was the go to for everyone at our table. The pancakes are fluffy & the size of the plate. You can't go wrong with a good ol country breakfast spot. It should come as no surprise to this restaurant that they were busy this Sunday morning, as they are busy every Sunday morning. Had our server dedicated more effort to serving her tables and less to reprimanding the hostess for seating us in her section, perhaps we could have gotten our food before the table sat before us was paying and leaving. Or before the two tables that sat after we ordered received their food. Clearly our food had been prepared for some time as it was hastily brought to us when we tried to leave. The cheese on top had congealed to a shellac. And why was there a dog in there? People were standing actually touching our table waiting in the easily 7 deep line to pay. What a hot mess. Well, have been three times. Service is good, food is average and quick. However, I've only been for breakfast. Today I ordered "Baggage Omelet" with home fries and a biscuit. Bisquits are very good. Home fries are greasy white potatoes without much onion or green pepper, if any. Today I asked for salsa for my omelet. I was brought a tiny plastic lidded container like you'd get for horseradish at a tiki bar. They CHARGED.50. The omelet was 7.99 plus coffee and salsa and bill was 11.76. That is really in poor taste. I will not go back to a place that nickels and dimes you. read more

I really enjoy going here. I like to be able to have a nicely prepared breakfast (mostly) any time of day. Their food is excellent and I have no problems with that part. Jessica and Britney are my favorite waitresses and I love how they all pitch in to help one another. As a former waitress that was always appreciated. However and this is a big problem with me. The kitchen bothers me. Not their cooking or the food itself but whatever they do back there when it's busy. I have been there on more than one occasion where I have seen tables get their food eat and leave before us - even ordering similar items as us. Being only 6 tables in there and same thing happen, being busy same thing happens. Only consistency is that it happens when we go on the weekend. So I'm not sure if the kitchen staff changes on the weekend and therefore the procedures change ... maybe ... I REALLY like this place. My entire extended family does, we haven't stopped going we've just adjusted WHEN we go which unfortunately leaves out a majority of the family due to their hours. Saves me money, just doesn't help their business unfortunately. read more
