Found this gem right around the corner from us. Everything we've had so far has been great, beginning with the greeting as you walk in and right up to the 'goodbye' when you leave. Good choices for breakfast and lunch, they even offer flavored coffee cream if you ask! Had the reuben and had them substitute cole slaw for the sauerkraut, and it was EXCELLENT! Tried this restaurant Tuesday morning, and not disappointed. Coffee was bottomless and refilled frequently. The hash was crispy from the griddle, the poached eggs perfect and a lovely fresh fruit cup plus a perfectly toasted English muffin. Fast and friendly service. It's a clean little mom and pop's place, but nothing stood out as wonderful. When we asked the waitress was was food she said, "everything". We asked if they had a specialty dish, but she was in a hurry and again said, "it's all good". We tried a variety of things, and nothing was great, it wasn't bad, just average. It's the kind of place where you get a lot of food for cheap, but it's just king of plain. Some people will love that. We like unique or really good tasting food. The kids didn't finish their pancakes, just tasted like they were from a mix. The quesadilla was more green peppers than anything. The breakfast burrito and quesadilla both come in a garlic herb kind of tortilla which wasn't great. The Reuben was just average, basically thousand island and meat. Celina was wonderful with taking our order and being so genuinely upbeat. With a party of three, our beverages and food order came out quickly and hot. I so enjoyed the Junction breakfast sandwich! First time there. Sat at counter but not crowned due to spacing for Covid. Ordered at 9:20 got the food at 9:55. During that timer server with multi-colored hair coughed with hand if front of her mask and failed to wash her hands. Should have left then but didn't. Guess she thought she was wearing an N-95. Not! When i got my order the pancakes were cold and rubbery, hash browns cold and hard, but wait there's more. Take a look at the corn beef hash. The cook didn't even attempt to hide the burned slab of charred CBH. He could have turned it over to hide the mess. And neither my order taker nor multi-colored hair server who delivered this S..t made no mention of how bad it looked. At no time during my stay did either of them ask "Why aren't you eating your breakfast?" " Is there something wrong?". At the counter I was a mere 3 feet away for 30 minutes and not a word. Salt shaker lid so corroded had to remove it to get salt and at no time did either server ever ask if I would like another despite the pile of salt on the place mat and the shaker with no lid. It was not my intention to post this on social media where anonymous, indefensible, spiteful beatings can occur. I prefer to have written a constructive critique directly to the owners as I assume they would rather address these issues privately. However there is no address available that I could find, Unfortunately, I did not find the glowing ratings previously given to be accurate this day and am unlikely to try again.Sorry read more
