My husband took me out for breakfast to Bob Evans. There was no wait and seated in a booth. Our server came immediately and took our drink order, I just had water while my husband ordered coffee. I love that Bob Evans has a smaller menu I can order off of. I ordered the mini sampler which consist of one egg which I ordered over easy, two sausage, links, hashbrowns, and wheat toast. My husband ordered the Big Wrangler Breakfast, which he ordered his eggs over easy came with biscuits and sausage, gravy, bacon, home fries, and ham. My breakfast was very good and the perfect size for me. My husband said his was delicious and that might be his favorite breakfast meal now. The restaurant was very clean and had nice music playing. From the moment we walked in we observed so much kindness from the staff. An elderly woman had dropped her purse and cards were everywhere. The sweet young man who sat us helped her immediately with gratitude. It's so nice to see kindness of others. Dee, our server was kind and attentive. In Palm Coast haven't been to a Bob Evans in a while thoughts we would try their breakfast. I had the Sunshine bowl okay not great. Potatoes undercooked and not much sausage. Good news it was hot. It wasn't to busy so you would think the server would be attentive but that wasn't the case ; nobody could get refills, napkins, and she didn't even check on us to see if our food was good for us after she ran it. It's always a good experience eating at Bob Evans! We were driving toward Orlando to fly back home, and we saw Bob Evans and had to stop. I ordered the Double Meat Farmers breakfast. The food came quickly and was so delicious! I loved my bacon and French Toast. The server was really nice, even though she was from Ohio ( it's a Michigan thing), and asked several times if we needed any more coffee or anything else. I also like the way Bob Evans has a display like a little country store at the entrance/exit of the restaurant. Currently, there is a Christmas tree! 'Everything Omlette' & superb Hollandaise sauce... quite tasty & big enough for two! I was mistaken on check in questions, they do serve alcohol. Even mimosas. Haven't eaten at one in about 15 years or so, it has not changed one bit. I was very pleased with the sunrise savers. I had the mini breakfast which was $3 less than the same one on the regular menu, only difference was 1 egg instead of 2. He had the 2 egg one. The home fries were just the cubed ones, I prefer sliced (with some onion), but everything was, in a word, acceptable. I liked the option to get a kid sized milk, which was still over 8 oz. The biscuits are homemade as well as their bread. Their lunch & dinner menu looked good, breakfast is served all day. They have cold brew coffee! read more

This is a solid restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food! The floor carpet was a bit messy but that didn't deter from our dining experience. My husband ordered a breakfast of fried chicken, gravy, biscuits, and eggs which he thoroughly enjoyed. I tried a bite of the chicken and it was addictively juicy and flavorful! My BLT lunch sandwich with hearty beef vegetable soup was just as delicious and filling. Our greeter was super friendly as was our waitress who checked on us often. Good food, handy location, rarely busy, great service. Something as simple as chicken tenders is a cut above most other restaurants. I haven't been to a Bob Evans in about 10yrs! I am from Ohio so we would go on a regular basis but there aren't as many in Florida so it's always wonderful to feel those warm fuzzy feelings when you go to a place that you have so many fond memories of family together! The atmosphere is exactly the way I remember it! It was my mother in laws first time(she is from England) so I wanted to take her to a place that gives you the home cooking style feel. The rolls taste exactly the same and as delicious as always! I would say though that the Fried Chicken recipe tasted very different as well as their signature Wildfire BBQ? But my husband had Sausage Biscuits and Gravy and my mother in law had Lemon Pepper Sole-both raved about it! My son got a pancake( breakfast all day!) and it was actually really nice and fluffy(and pretty big)! Had a wonderful amount of vanilla in it which was so tasty! Our server Kayla was so sweet too! The food was decent for a diner type restaurant. My youngest ordered the pancake and was delighted that it looked like a pig. My 13 year old ordered the chicken and waffles... next time she will order the syrup on the side as it was drenched which isn't to her liking. The place was clean and easy to get to. Raw potatoes. Both the home fires and hash Browns were raw even after asking for extra crispy. The grits were thick like mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to order and seasoned well. The eggs were also cooked correctly. The service was great and the waitress checked on us and made sure everything was good. But we did have to ask again for the manager about the potatoes and the waitress was unsure if they were going to come or not. They resolved and agreed upon a remedy. After discovering that the restaurant the hubs and I wanted to eat at was closed, he said "I'm in the mood for a sit down meal, so, let's go to Bob Evans". Finding the entrance was puzzling - the take out entrance was at the front of the restaurant, while the main entrance faces 100 (which doesn't have a turn off into the parking lot). Once inside, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated - the hostess is also the cashier. They have a small selection of baked items, candles, dressings, and other homegood items for sale at the front of the restaurant also. Once we got seated, our server Michele, promptly came over, our drinks were delivered right away, and then she sort of disappeared until it was time for us to order. I ordered the Farmer's Market Omelet which included sausage, bacon, ham, onions, tomatoes, and spinach, topped with a rather thick hollandaise sauce (for my first time ever having the sauce, it was pretty good) Overall, I enjoyed my first experience at this location. I am from Ohio where Bob Evans was born. The first time I tried it in Florida, I was put off by the spiciness added by the peppers. I got over that. This is the south. I went back today and was there for my step-dad's birthday. We asked two different people about birthday special desserts and were told they didn't do that. Suffice it to say, there was no surprise for the birthday boy when the sundae was brought out. We offered to pay for it, of course, and did, but the surprise was ruined. The food was okay. What was a surprise is that you are out of Diet Coke and you charge for more bread. Fundamental of business: sometimes you have to give a little to retain customers. Cracker Barrel down the street gives out bread, no problem. The food was acceptable, but not saying, "ok we'll take care of it" when there is a birthday, leaving the server to buss the tables (they were left dirty for a while, not her fault), and charging for extra bread left a bad taste. I usually like the food however the service is never predictable. Tonight we were seated quickly by a friendly hostess and waited for a waitress for 25 minutes who never came to us or the other table sat after us. The table who sat after us left after no service for 15 minutes we waited 25 minutes and the gave up. The restaurant was not busy when we entered and had only one table when we left. The manager and hostess were packing a takeout order and didn't even notice people leaving without service . As for the waitress she just looked without saying a word. Been wanting to go here for breakfast so being Mother's Day I got to go (my choice) service was fine but when we got an unexpected company crawling on the table that turn us right off. Gave the Roach to the waitress, she gave to the manager. GUESS WHO NEVER came to our table?? Yup the manager, went up front and paid for the bill when asked how the meal was I let the cashier know. All I got was "I am sorry". Manager was too busy to come and speak to us, sent someone else out and finally gave my son his money back. Very poor customer service!!!! read more

There was a wait when we got to the restaurant. The hostess said about a 10 min wait and that was pretty accurate. That is about all that was positive. The waitress had no voice. Our food took about 40 minutes to get for eggs and pancakes. It took forever to get a coffee refill. When we asked for hot sauce it was just dropped off in passing by the waitress and she did not even check on the food or if anything else was needed. My food had pieces of the egg shell and big pieces of burnt food in the hash browns. We had not been to this place after a bad experience about 1 year ago. We thought we would give it a try since Metro Diner had a really long wait. Amazingly it has gotten even worse. I know why Metro Diner has such a long wait when their competition in Palm Coast is this. read more
