If you are able to make it during lunch time Tuesday-Friday (It's also open Friday evening and…read moreSaturday), and you are vegetarian (They also have hamburgers and other meat options), this is a great choice. I got the grilled portobello sandwich with avocado, garlic aioli, Swiss cheese, and served with yummy potatoes and a pickle. There were several other veggie options like plant-based shrimp and a couple veggie burgers I'd like to try if I ever have a day off so I can come back when they are open during the middle of the day.

The decor outside and inside of the Dancing Avocado Kitchen brought to mind a meld of California…read moregroovy and Florida beach vibes. While my wife and I found a number of casual restaurants on the Yelp app to try, this place succeeded in bringing us here by its menu selection. We seated ourselves and the server welcomed us and brought over menus. She was helpful and friendly through the entire meal. Because I had previewed the menu, I quickly chose "da Nachos. My wife chose the Original Dancer sandwich. Wow! The flavors in both our dishes hit our tastebuds to easily say we'd return here. For "da Nachos", the thin sliced sirloin combined with the jalapeño, sautéed mushrooms, melted cheese, chipotle and garlic aioli was like "music" in my mouth (if there could be such a thing!). I greatly appreciated how the chips stood up to all the juice and condiments. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fully-packed sandwich, and the side of cucumber salad was light, yet tasty and satisfying. We met and talked briefly with the owner who was a nice chap. One last note. The interior from about the kitchen back was littered with boxes of miscellaneous items. We don't know if they had run out of space in back or if it always was cluttered. Additionally, we noticed a smell, like cleaning solution further into the place. Don't let these last two items deter your visit here. Check out the menu, and order food. Just know you might want to consider eating outside or getting takeout.

This place never disappoints. The food is absolutely amazing and you constantly leave this place…read morewith a full belly and let's not forget about the service. Everyone just seems so happy here so you can tell that it really enjoy their jobs which makes a huge difference. We started off with the coconut shrimp and had like this coconut mayo dipping sauce was different, but it was really good, but I felt like it needed like a sweet-and-sour sauce then I had the mahi tacos with just the rice no black beans definitely still as good as the last time I tried it my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken pizza gluten-free and he ate the entire thing so that just tells you right off the bat that it was good and to finish off our dinners we ended with Keylime pie. It wasn't the best it was OK. I don't think I would have it again, though the ambience, excellent this place is adorable. It's like a diamond in the rough. No one really knows it's here but anytime ever and someone says they're going to Daytona. I always recommend this place. Go here! You will never be disappointed trust me!

Having been to the grind over the years, we have certain expectations as to the quality of food and…read moreservice. I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.
