    Bananas foster French toast
    Trish T.

Great breakfast a few days ago on our way down south to the beach. I admit, I was a little wary of what I thought might be some kind of chain. Fear not! This place is fab - with the folksy southern charm to boot. We were promptly seated and a server came right away with a most-appreciated offer of coffee. It was not a good. Hurrah. I ordered a BLT w/ avocado, sub Turkey bacon. The crunchy wheat toast and flavorful bacon - all oozing with my over-easy egg - YUM! My husband really loved his banana's foster French toast. I had a taste and - though it's too sweet for me - the caramelly-goodness with the bananas was close to a fave we have in NOLA. All-in-all - a great start to our day.

Great food, great service. Got the 3 egg special with home fries , bacon and biscuit. Wife got the , what she thought was 2 eggs but 3rd egg came free and a real good corned beef hash. Had enough food left over for a takeout box.

This continues to be one of my favorite stops for a great breakfast. They are almost always crowded but they offer quick service and tables turn over fairly quickly. We generally choose to sit at the counter to avoid waiting. I almost always order the California omelette and did so again today. It's always great. Service is excellent and the ambiance pleasant. It's worth the drive.

While traveling past North Carolina on 77, we found it after getting gas. We originally saw Cracker Barrel but decided to support the local establishment. Menu has extensive choices for breakfast and the prices are affordable. We both had the basic egg breakfast and coffee. It was as expected and satisfying. Friendly and quick service too. I like the counter seating available as well as the booths. Diner ambiance and clean bathrooms.

The environment is so welcoming and comfy! Stopped here while we were on a little road trip and loved the decor. The omelet portions are huge. I ordered the California omelet and it was exactly what I was looking for. Though they were out of a few options (rolls, broccoli) the food we ended up ordering was delicious nonetheless. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food!

    Nice Diner!

Not many dining choices in this area. Ample parking and a large dining area with tables efficiently serviced so that they turn over quickly. Our wait for a table was only 10-minutes, following a group of 18! The service was the star of the experience. Very efficient, helpful, attentive servers. Shout out to Suzanna. The large staff worked well together and seemed to make everyone feel comfortable. The ambience is southern, hometown casual. You feel like you are visiting your large family from start to finish. Nothing pretentious. Clean enough. Comfortable. Pricing....in this time of food inflation, this restaurant still offers amazing prices. My husband and I had two large dinner entrees with water and our bill came to just under $24.00. Our portions were generous as evidence in the photo. Our waitress recommended the grilled pork chops which were hot, juicy and seasoned just right. They came with two veggie sides from a long list of choices. I chose collard greens and Mac and cheese. These items were just average and only luke warm as was the biscuit (from a choice of about 5 bread options). Had the sides been hot and a little more flavorful, I would have given 5 stars. For vegetarians and all-day breakfast eaters, Cooper Pot is your place; so much to choose from on their menu. Vegans might struggle as most southern cooking includes dairy and it looks as if they cook their sides in large quantities and keep them in a warmer to serve. The ability to respond quickly to large numbers of travelers and locals, with solid, well-priced, filling meals is the gift of the Copper Pot. We will return when traveling their way.

On this last trip, we went twice. I got the Beth Ann Clark both times. I just love their cheesy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fruit, and french toast. My husband tried two different entrees this time--the Butch Triplett (corned beef and eggs) and their breakfast burrito. Their corned beef is likely from a can, but it's so good because they cook it so it's very crispy. I always steal some of his corned beef to add to my eggs! Their breakfast burrito is amazing. It's simply filled, with just scrambled eggs, cheese, small bits of ham, and hash browns. It's topped with an enchilada sauce that is similar to a ranchero sauce, and is served with sour cream and guacamole. It's a massive burrito, and SO GOOD! My husband said it's his new favorite. Social on Main is popular, and so we always go early (before 8am). After 8am, there is usually a wait--especially on Saturdays. Their servers are always friendly, and the food is delivered fast. Their coffee is nice and strong, too. I wish we had a Social on Main near our house, because we'd visit them weekly. Give them a try if you are in Blowing Rock for a visit and want a great breakfast!

I was on the way home from the mountain house, wanted to try a new spot, so thought I would look to yelp for suggestions. Based on great reviews, many great reviews, we decided to try. First, we were told the biscuits are not made from scratch. are not made from scratch. We immediately knew this was not goi g to be our go to spot in the future. Now, the reason I am leaving a review is, not everyone has to have a scratch made biscuits; and the canned biscuit they did serve tasted fine. We were there for breakfast so we decided to stay. My wife got a chicken biscuit and the chicken was a pre-patty out of a bag chicken piece. Again, tasted fine, but we thought, Dern, we can do this ourselves at home. I want to make sure this review is read correctly, the food tasted fine, the people were great, and the place was busy, so if you just want to satisfy a hunger, please stop. However, if you are looking for a great diner with scratch made food, don't let the yelp rating fool you like it did me, this is not your spot.

This was the spot! I got a double cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Just enough pink without being 'undercooked'. It was delicious. I also got a hot dog, a Carolina dog it was called. The coleslaw on top was crispy and delicious! The other ingredients on it were perfectly portioned so nothing overpowered the hotdog at all; everything on it complimented the dog so very well. My wife got a Cuban burrito and absolutely loved it! Our party got some other hotdogs and burgers; all happy campers! Along with the burritos they brought chips; which tasted homemade. They were crispy and fresh. Now this place is know for bringing some heat on their offerings; and we did not order anything hot or spicy like that. Maybe next time! Other than that - this place was a treat. For seven of us the tab was under 100$ - which lately - that is a bargain. (For comparison when we were on the road - we stopped at a WaffleHouse which brought the tab to $104; and their food is hot garbage). So in summary - a 10/10 dining experience which we'll be excited to come back to! I should have taken pictures; but, I think the ones online do a sufficient job. I'll take some photos next trip!
