The providers and staff here are super competent, professional, gentle, warm and respectful. It's actually a hard feat to maintain all these qualities but they do it well. Emelie at the front desk who kept meticulous track of my billing, my appointments, my pcp referrals, my emails all with a friendly greeting each time. I could overhear her greeting all the patients in the same way, with warmth and professionalism. She knows the ins and outs of insurance, referrals, approvals etc and I appreciated her communication with my pcp's office. My own physical therapist Eric was knowledgeable, professional, beyond competent, kind and compassionate. The other providers in the office that I observed working with their patients were much of the same. What is most impressive is how they strike a balance of friendliness and professionalism. I saw them truly caring for their patients. Physical therapy isn't a quick fix for an issue. But this is a great team to guide you back to health. Be as patient and hard working in your recovery as they are. You'll see results. And if you have issues that maybe don't necessarily warrant a doctors visit or if your doctor won't refer you but you want to see a healthcare provider to guide you about musculoskeletal issues, you can make an appt and pay out of pocket. Of course it's not cheap but to put it in perspective, it costs more to get eyelash extensions. And these providers have years of schooling and experience backing them. I didn't know this but PT isn't only for injuries but can be applied to other issues like migraines and vertigo.

After having surgery for a torn labrum, I was initially skeptical about physical therapy. This was my first time dealing with this type of injury, and I underestimated both the treatment process and the benefits it could provide. I was definitely mistaken. Jin and Jason, in particular, have been very effective, helpful, and great to work with. They make the sessions productive while also keeping the environment comfortable and enjoyable. Hahn at reception is also easygoing, efficient, and quick to assist. The location is convenient, and parking is ample, which is a big plus. Overall, I highly recommend Pacific Therapy.

A consistent PT can track your progress, understand your limitations, and adjust your program the way true one-on-one training should. 2. When they ask, "Have you been doing your exercises?" Respond with: "Did you review my data and history before this session?" My experience was being passed between multiple trainers. Without getting into the weeds, no one consistently reviewed my charts before sessions. That matters. Without context, it's impossible to ask the right questions or receive targeted guidance. Each session, I was measured and data was recorded--but no one explained what it meant. I was never told how I was progressing, especially regarding range of motion or outcomes. Jaco uses a high-tech system that allows them to charge a $50 cancellation fee within 24 hours, yet trainers weren't consistently inputting or reviewing data to deliver informed sessions. At one point, the lead PT had to step in mid-session to guide the trainer I was working with on what I should actually be doing. After two months of this, I canceled my sessions and am now looking for another PT provider.

Prices are comparable for massage rates around the area but if you are looking for cleanliness, convenience, and a good massage, seven senses spa is the place to go. I stick to the same massage therapist who doesn't have a lot of hours that work well with my work schedule so I have to book in advance but if you are willing to try any massage therapist you could probably get a massage almost anytime. The monthly subscription makes the price of the massage less by $10 and is an excuse to get a massage at least once a month. There is also a Waikiki location at the ilikai where I tried their facials. The parking is validated which is great for Waikiki. It is however a little more expensive than the kahala location but they do occasionally have more specials at the Waikiki location...although I haven't seen it for a while.

I had a 90 min with JD, told him where my pain and soreness were and he attended to those areas and got rid of the throbbing aches in one session that 2 months of twice weekly chiropractic adjustments could not! I am so grateful to my kids for gifting me this experience to discover this business. It is located near Kahala Mall with plenty of parking available. Very conveniently located and hours are great especially for those of us that work full days and sometimes have only evenings available. On this Monday they are open until 8:30pm.
