I was charging my car in the muir station shopping center when I noticed the sign of Harmony and Serenity . The first thing is they offered foot massage and massage chair, which is a good thing in regard to legitimately. As in many of these small spas, there is no front desk assistant. I was greeted by Amy (who I believe is the manager). I explained my condition(s) and she seemed knowledgeable so I decided to try 1 hour. She suggested Mary as my therapist. She spoke nominal english but understood what I needed. Mary did an excellent job working my lower back muscles, calves and the tightness in my shoulders. She was very professional from start to finish. But what sold me was the works on my legs. While walking back to my car, the limp was gone and I no longer did the hop along Cassidy. Im there every week. cost? less than $100 (65 a hour and I tip $30) Highly recommend fyi. If you decide to try Mary, I suggest you book in advance.

Then she worked on my back, and then the rest of my body, and I felt like a new person afterwards. She said it would take a couple days to have all the work set in, and she was correct, but as I write this about three weeks later, the pain is gone and I credit the massage for finally giving me relief. I do plan on getting another massage soon - she's open on Saturdays, which is better for my schedule. I strongly recommend A Perfect Massage.

The massage beds are the most comfortable ones I've ever been on. I find that a lot of massage therapists usually skip over the butt. Or do over the sheet pressing action. For me, a butt massage is the best part, it is an extension of your back. And I want the full experience lol Tina will give you the best experience. She is a master in Chinese medicine! I have been a client at The Remedy for close to two years. I have had repeated testing there and also with my PCP and they were unable to find some issues I was having. (Not downplaying my Remedy experience--they're wonderful) But, in one visit with Tina she found a major issue that was going on with me. It still blows me away that she found something like that through massage. We are blessed to have some great massage therapists in our town. But I truly feel that Tina is a natural healer. The lady in front points to a sign saying basically what we must tip through her nonverbal manners. I was coerced to giving more than I wanted because it was what was "recommended." I even think my therapist deserved what she wanted me to give but it was the approach ! I even asked her name so I can come back and request her because every therapist is very different and I would want to come for the same therapist and would go out of my way to fit her schedule but "they don't give out names, you get who you get." I only came here because I had a gift card and came from Hercules. I would only come back if I could get the same therapist and not have to deal with that lady in front. They all deserve the price they want but just set it at that price don't coerce a customer to "tipping" your minimum "recommendation." Set your prices with what you want minimally because the quality and service matches and just get rid of tipping altogether so a customer does not feel coerced and unsatisfied leaving.

Unfortunately, this one turned out to be the first really bad one for both of us because after we got out of the place, we both admitted to each other that both our individual masseuses gave really painful massages. Actually, each of us were thinking to ourselves during our separate massages that it was the worst massage we EVER had. We should have taken it as a warning already that when we were taken to our massage beds, the beds didn't have holes for the head part. What they did was put a contraption on top of the bed part that was supposed to be a hole for a client's head. The contraption was raised a few inches so that when a client's head was face down on the contraption, there would be a space to breath so that our noses wouldn't touch the bed. When we were in that position, the neck alignment wasn't right and ideal anymore because every time the masseuse would strongly massage our upper backs and shoulders, they were pushing our backs down but the head kept staying up. It was very uncomfortable, I was scared I was gong to get a neck injury. Both our masseuses didn't speak English. They must have been novices and not-well-trained masseuses because their pressures were inconsistent and out of whack and bordering on mostly really painful pressures and not very relaxing strokes interspersed with weak pressures. What was weird was near the end part of the massage, another different masseuse stepped in to massage me. She was not gentle, and she did it more painfully than the other one in a very fast speed that was not relaxing at all when it should have been winding down to a gentle end. The owners shouldn't be cheap, and purchase proper massage beds. What was more boggling was when we got out of our areas after our massages were done, we noticed there were actually proper massage beds with real holes in the other areas that weren't even occupied with clients. Were they reserving those for just their white clients? Since the masseuses didn't speak English, I was beginning to understand the mentality of the owners or their staff was probably typical of some Asian mentality where they treat caucasian foreigners better than their own fellow Asians. That's really a sad mentality, especially when running a business. Did they think we wouldn't sue if we got an injury just because they thought we would be meek? It was very fishy how they did business that way, assigning clients to improper massage beds when the real massage beds with holes were actually available. One thing is clear, we won't be coming back here at all. That was really bad service, bad/unfair business, and just worst practice. If you're doing a physical service, make sure you hire professionally trained staff. What you're doing is dangerous and you might find yourselves involved in future lawsuits if you keep operating like that. I had bruises on my upper arms that lasted for a few days after my massage.

This review is long overdue - Amy is absolutely incredible!! My friend and I usually go to the spa for our Birthday weekend, but due to Covid, we decided to keep the tradition, but alter it and instead of going to a spa, we'd bring the spa to us. We setup a private peaceful area in our yard and Amy brought her comfy bed and everything she needed for a perfect relaxing massage in the comfort of our own home. We had already heard great things about Amy before we were lucky enough to receive the massages, but she is honestly the best - attention to pain points and pressure levels and she is super friendly with a calm and relaxing demeanor.
