Major issues with this company. The amount I owed changed 5 times, all communication was done over the phone until I stopped talking to them, then they send a bill that has no details. 2 associates guaranteed "on the phone" that if returned the cpap machine, my account would be closed. Sure enough, I start getting email bills and now letters. If I had paid what they wanted on the first call, including insurance they would have made 5k for a rented cpap machine in 2 yrs. read more

We drove out to Corona about 10 days ago, on the 19th of June, to get some assistance with the problems my husband was having with his mask for the CPAP machine. The 5 stars are for Crystal, the respiratory therapist we met with. She was very patient with all our questions and was very thorough in explaining everything to us. Her customer service skills are excellent and she is very knowledgeable. She was able to help my husband select a mask that fit better which eliminated the problems he was having. I just haven't had luck with good customer service with this organization. The first instance was they did a lump sum bill of like two years with of equipment. Why wasn't I billed right away? Had to resolve that. Second instance was I realized they were sending me generic tubes. I was able to find a ResMed tube online for a cheaper price. Finally the customer service has just been sub par. The scoffed as I explained previous mishaps. I just got a itemized list from insurance of what was being charged and the cost was astronomical. Tried to get clarity on this and you could tell they didn't want to talk on the phone. I think I got clarity on the situation, but yeah the people could be more empathetic. They have traumatized me. The person tried to bluff me into quitting service with them. I said sure let's stop the follow up. I would expect better level of treatment if you want to keep customers engaged with your service. The healthcare system and vendors like this show this isn't working. read more

I was hoping to get a handheld, traveling nebulizer and she was able to switch my order to that instead of the one that needs to be plugged into the wall for use. Breathe Medical was a great experience until they started billing me. They bill my insurance monthly even though I haven't used their service for over a year. It took an act of Congress to get them to stop sending me supplies I wasn't using. Then...I finally start to make some headway with my bill and they bill me another $820 for products/ services I supposedly used in Jan and Feb of this year when I haven't been under their care or used their equipment since August 2018. I concur with the other person who says their 3rd party billing is a problem. It's also fraudulent. read more

I have never had such a bad experience with any companies but unfortunately breath medical supply company is a scam where they charge money for something patient never asked and never received. I called for my husband in March and all I asked if breath medical accept new insurance we have, lady said I will check and get back to you, no one called me back. Now I am receiving bill for 250$, I called billing department thinking that it was mistake. Angel supervisor was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Angel said that it was sent to wrong address yet you still responsible to pay because you requested supplies. I was explaining to her that I have never asked for supplies and all I asked is to see if breath medical accept insurance and plus I did not get any supplies. All Angel was saying " Ya you have to pay. You have to pay". I asked Angel even though I have never asked and never received supply and you said that it was sent to wrong address, I still have to pay? Angel supervisor just kept saying yes that's your responsibility to pay. I asked Angel if I can pls get an email of an owner of this company. Angel just replied " no you can not" I am so sad that breath medical take advantage of people who needs help. I am sure if owner knew the whole situation of what his workers doing, he would be devastated. Miscommunications happens however it was not handled right. These people changed my life. Or they saved my life. Lets go with both of these. I was waking up 5 - 6 times per night, having debilitating migraines 3 - 4 times per week that were so bad I would end up vomiting from the pain and the nausea it would cause. I couldn't function like that and it was getting worst! Thanks to my new doctor at that time, I was introduced to Breathe Medical. Someone came out to introduce me to the product and also to go over all the parts, maintenance, and settings. They took their time and encouraged me to take my time asking as many questions as possible. We went through multiple mask options and they fitted me with 2 options that I was not sure at the moment which I would end up choosing. The experience was very complete. It only took me a couple nights going back and forth between my 2 mask choices to make a decision as to which one was best for me, so that was great. With all the knowledge the rep left me with at my house, the setup and cleaning was a breeze, especially with the SoClean machine they recommended. Absolutely ZERO daily maintenance. Perfect! My sleeping went into the stratosphere. I NEVER get up at night anymore, NEVER EVER. I can drink a huge glass of water and go to sleep and never get up until my alarm wakes me. This is the best rest ever. Then the Migraines. Obviously, being susceptible to migraines, I can still get them, HOWEVER, I went from 3 - 4 per week to 1 every 3 months! Lets put that into perspective. 3 - 4 per WEEK and now 3 - 4 per YEAR! Just thinking back to what life used to bye like makes me shudder. I can not believe I ever lived like that. I have no idea how I even survived. The constant air throughout the night has made all the difference in the world. My advice to people with any level of apnea is to call these guys. They are courteous, helpful, and professional. Their customer service is top notch. Their followup is infallible. They make sure my supplies never run out and remind me to change filters when necessary to keep things running great. I love my doctor for sending me to Breathe Medical, and I love Breathe Medical for taking such good care of me and changing my life. Just remember that they are there to help you. Let them tell you what to do and LISTEN to what they are saying. If you do, I promise you will adapt to the machine very quickly and enjoy the healthiest and most pleasant night's rest you have ever felt if you suffer from apnea. Then they bill you months later for items you don't know if you received them-they expect you to call them to verify items with no invoice? They bill the insurance company and tell you that they can't provide invoice until the insurance pays their part and send you months later the copay for something your not sure if you received- they want to charge you full cost of cpap machine after insurance paid nearly all of rental agreement with few months of rental remaining after insurance plan ended-they are not transparent with the billing invoices read more

When my CPAP's humidifier function failed following years of the unit's service, I reached out to the Breathe Medical office and, something quite reassuring happened. They not only helped with having my malfunctioning unit sent to the manufacturer for its diagnostic, but they also helped me to obtain a new replacement unit -- in one day. Tricia Francisco, their Lead Respiratory Therapist, provided virtually minute-by-minute updates about the replacement, its shipping -- which I received in one day and as promised -- and the obsolete unit's forwarding for the corresponding repair assessment. They did not call when asked by my doctor. Also, they do not accept Medicare as payment. Not very accommodating.

This company is money hungry. I advise you read the fine print and ask many questions. They sent me a machine, was unsure how to use but kept going as I work long hour days. My insurance switched and before I am aware I have a bill. They said they'd monitor the machine, yet I only used about 3 nights. No integrity, just a business with no true care. read more

We're very happy with the service of Breathe Medical. Tricia is an exceptional Respiratory Therapist, and is patient and responsive. She identified the need for a ASV machine, after evaluating sleep logs from the CPAP machine which was not proving effective. What a difference the change in machines made! She also recommended RemZzzs Mask Liners which helped eliminate facial irritation from a full-face mask. Alexus has also been very helpful in the Workers Comp Department. Their Accounting Dept. is months behind and they know it yet they don't do anything to correct the issues or correct their customer service policies. They sent me invoices that were incorrect showing I owed for items I had already paid for. When I changed insurance companies and hence needed to return my C-Pap machine, I cleaned it and returned it to their Corona office in top shape for re-sale/rent. They failed to update my account until I called 2 1/2 months later when I tired of receiving invoices demanding payment. The last invoice stated my account was PAST DUE. Each time I called to get these errors addressed, I was forced to speak/write to the only supervisor (supposedly) onsite, Angel. Angel was rude and disrespectful and blamed all the accounting errors on everything except their/her incompetence i.e. a slow mail system. If their billings run months behind, then their invoicing should reflect they are waiting for the insurance company to pay, or whatever the delay is attributed to. They should not be mailing out erroneous invoices and telling customers they are PAST DUE. I am very familiar with accounting practices and policies, so I know it is possible to be current and accurate. If at all possible, I would not use this company for your supplies until and unless they make improvements. In business today there is no excuse for a lack of professionalism. Using a condescending and aggressive tone with customers is inexcusable. And now, with computers doing a lot of the work, their accounts should all be current! read more

This company is a ridicule. They violate many guidelines to get patients to choose their company over an in network provider. They are severely committing fraud by providing multiple insurances with false/misleading information in order to get unauthorized benefits paid for the member. They use a bribing tactic, all employees are trained to do this on a daily basis to being more business to the company. Unfortunately some of the members get taken advantage of and others are win debt for thousands of dollars for equipment that was more than likely already paid by insurance. read more

This is the third medical supply company I've used over the past few years (the first two, Lincare and Metromed, were absolutely terrible, and I've reviewed them separately on Yelp). Breathe Medical itself is actually very good! Unlike the previous two medical supply companies I dealt with, the employees at Breathe actually answer their phones when I call, and are always polite and helpful on the phone. And on the off chance I don't get a hold of them, they are usually pretty good at returning phone calls (and e-mails). And they actually mail me my medical supplies on time every month. I know, I know...you'd think that actually returning phone calls and mailing the customer the merchandise they'd paid for would be a no-brainer for most businesses but, like I said, the previous medical supply companies I've used were too stupid and inept to even manage the basics. So, yeah, Breathe Medical is pretty amazing by comparison! They do have one problem though: They outsource their billing to a third-party company...and that company SUCKS!! This is why I'm only giving Breathe 3/5 stars here. The billing company they use regularly screws up the billing, so it seems like every other month or so I have to call Breathe and have them straighten out the latest mess their billing company has created, which Breathe has always really been good about promptly doing for me. When I call them to have them correct the constant errors that their billing department makes, they are usually very helpful (and, to be honest, the employees at Breathe seem just as annoyed with their billing company as I am). But until Breathe gives their billing company a swift kick in the butt and makes them get their act together (or gets a new billing company altogether), I can't give them the 5/5 stars they'd probably otherwise receive. Still, as I said before, I've dealt with other medical supply companies that were easily way more of a complete nightmare than Breathe ever manages to be. So, I'll be sticking with Breathe for the time being because, although their billing department badly needs an overhaul, Breathe is still WAY better than their competition. read more

They overcharged me for multiple items I cancelled and sent back and when I called to complain I was met with the rudest and most condescending employee I have ever encountered. I've ordered my CPAP supplies from several other DME suppliers before landing at Breathe Medical. I can tell you the customer service is by far the best, IMHO. Stay away from these quacks and scam artists. First time I've been prescribed and tried a CPAP machine. Tech delivered materials to the home, bhthadno pricing for parts (mask, hose, filters, etc.) that should be changed regularly, though the contract notes they are attached. After a few weeks, they called to ask if I was adjusting to the machine. When I said I didn't like it, but was adjusting, it devolved into an argument of everything I was doing wrong. Just because I don't like using the CPAP doesn't mean it's being employed incorrectly. Then I started receiving automated calls and emails indicating I wasn't using the machine as prescribed. The doctor NEVER specified to me how long or often the machine was to be used! I've determined not to continue their services; however, when I called to arrange to return the CPAP machine I'm told the doctor gave them a lifetime prescription and, as the patient, I cannot cancel! WHAT! I've contacted the prescribing doctor and my insurance provider in an effort to end his relationship. Be forewarned. Do not get involved with Breathe Medical. read more
