On 12/8/21 Doug Shuck from Breda Pest Control came to our home to evaluate a problem we are having in our sitting room with stink bugs and wasps. Doug was one of the most professional people we have ever worked with in Georgia. He was on time, honest and explained where and why the problem was occurring. He wasn't pushy and allowed us to make a decision on when to utilize his services. We choose to wait until the situation worsens or when the weather warms up. This is an updated review. Breda responded quickly and professionally to my earlier complaint. I received a call from Rich about the problem and he offered to dispatch a crew to resolve my complaint. He did that and more. He sent Jonathan, who cleaned out the nest, killed the hornets and repaired a small hole in the fascia boards. He was thorough, professional and friendly. THIS is the service I had expected and now I'm a fan of Breda! Communication issues can arise with any business, but this company RESPONDED and did so in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. read more

We have used Breda to control mosquitos in our backyard for a couple of years. They have excellent customer service, they always call the day before they plan to come out, and they have always actually shown up on time! I read some of the other reviews about some feeling uncomfortable with their techs, and I have never experienced that. They have always been very polite and professional when they have been here. Several of my neighbors also use Breda for mosquitos, and I have never heard a complaint. The service has definitely improved our backyard mosquitos problem, I gave them four stars because I'm not convinced that I'm not harming the "good" insects. I have asked if I am harming the bee's and the butterflies, and I have not been given a definitive answer. I do recommend Breda if you have a mosquito problem. read more

Freakin amazing!! How old do I feel getting all excited about pest control, but here in GA with fire ants, spiders and palmetto bugs its a must to have pest control. 5 reasons (for 5 stars) why you should choose Breda 1) Reasonably priced * Its not outrageous, $85 a qtr is nothing! 2) GREEN & pet safe!!! * They are environmentally friendly, and their sprays are pet and kid friendly!! This was a HUGE concern for me, we have 2 dogs, a cat and a young kid. I didn't want to worry about "what-ifs" with harmful chemicals. 3) They fit YOUR schedule * anywhere from 9am to 5pm is their last appointment. For us who work business hours this is such a relief! Unlike other companies where you have to take time off, Breda works around your schedule and if you're not home they can spray the outside and come back another time 4) 1 time didn't work completely? they'll come back for free * this has only happened to me once and it was the initial spray. It didn't get rid of all the palmetto bugs, and they did tell me that palmetto bugs and roaches usually take two times. They came back 2 weeks later and i haven't had to call for a second treatment since 5) Friendly staff * The guy who comes to my house is always the same one and he's awesome. Just a genuinely nice guy, easy to talk to, willing to answer any questions. Just makes you feel comfortable :) So there ya go, 5 reasons why I love Breda and why you should choose them :)! I live in Acworth. I called Breda back in 2005 when I discovered termites, and learned that the termite bond with a different company had expired. Anyway, Breda came out, treated the house, and have had our new termite bond ever since. Also, about the same time, we asked Breda to do our routine quarterly pest control. They call to arrange a convenient time, and the guy who comes out, Tom, always arrives on time. In eight years, I have never had to wait on him to arrive for an appointment. Once or twice I needed them to come back out to re-treat for ants. Again, they show up on time, and get the job done. I recommend them highly! read more

I've noticed that the reviews for this company are all over the place. I have mixed feelings as well. I have used both routine pest control and the termite service. We have discontinued pest control services as we just did not feel a need for this on-going service. When they initially started, I felt as if they (Justin), came in and did a great job. They took their time and then when all was completed, we would discuss any findings or concerns. Eventually, this devolved into the technician rushing in and doing a couple of quick sprays and rushing out. This went on for a few visits and I just got the feeling that company policy and the way they were doing business had changed. It was if they were trying to streamline services and make things more efficient but in the process it negatively impacted their customer service. Here's another problem I encountered, some of the people that they have sent out were very questionable and I had to ask for them to be replaced. As a homeowner, I need to feel completely comfortable with anyone who is in my home. I need to be able to trust that they are able to do their job without me hovering over them and I don't want to feel any creepy vibes. There just needs to be a better screening process when it comes to hiring. I still have termite prevention services with this company and have no complaints as I tend to have the same pleasant and knowledgeable technician. Also, I will admit that the company has always been responsive in addressing my concerns. They are still okay in my book but just need to work out the "kinks". read more

I got a quote for termite treatment. They required a moisture barrier to be installed. I had an old water heater in the crawl space, and its placement would interfere with installing a complete moisture barrier. The salesman agreed to remove the tank. Price was high but getting the tank out made it a fair deal. A date was set. The poison was applied. The moisture barrier followed in a few days. When that was completed they called me at work to inquire about payment. I replied that I would be happy to pay after I looked to be sure they completed the job. The tank was not removed; the moisture barrier was 80% complete. They said the tank could not be removed because it still had water in it and was too heavy. They agreed to lay down more plastic. I told them I could get the tank drained, which I did. Later, they were still unable to remove the tank. During payment I asked for a discount since the job was incomplete. They refused, saying that the removal was not part of the contract even though the specs clearly stated "Bag all debris, Remove old water heater". I persisted and was refused. I persisted more and was told he would let the salesman review it. Never heard back from them, not even a courtesy call. I have been cheated and cannot trust what they say or write for that matter. read more

I am sorry to say that we have just cancelled our service with Breda and am very disappointed. After all the good reviews, we decided to work with them. After multiple visits between sprays, we still have the same bugs we had before we started with them. The first time was great and we were happy with the results. The second spray was a different story...they have been out multiple times and we are still fighting the same bugs. They now want to bill be for a service I never received - a full spray, when each time was touching up. I understand their billing for a full spray every 90 days if the product isn't working and the customer isn't satisfied, then make it right or agree it isn't beneficial to continue. I have used other services at other homes and never had a problem before. Maybe it's the technician but we're looking for a new pest control provider. read more

I heard about Breda and their great customer service from other sites, shocking not to find a single negative comment. Too good to be true right? Well I'm glad to say its true, they have excellent custormer service. Their prices are reasonalbe, use pet-friendly chemicals, and they were out here in a timely manner. Kudos to Tom, he's the greatest. my new best friend. You just don't come across customer service like that anymore. He treated the house and was back out here to retreat and schedule a follow-up to be sure the problem was resolved without question. I'm defineately going to switch to their termite plan. read more

We use Breda for termite and pest control. When we first hired them, they did a great job, took their time, and seemed genuinely concerned. However, over the past year, the service and communication has deteriorated significantly. The terms of our service agreement were changed without notification. When I called to inquire, I was dismissed. There are several technicians who are creepy or sub-par, and technicians tend to rush in/out or cancel appointments at the last minute. The company and their policies appear to have changed dramatically since we originally signed on several years ago. Disappointing to say the least. read more

I have been using Breda for a few years now and I love that I don't ever have to deal with bugs! I used another company and they kept having to come back and re-spray my house. As soon as I started using Breda, the bug problem completely vanished. The guys who come out are nice, simple folk, but what do you expect? They spray bug spray for a living, they're not going to sing and dance for you. The customer service is great and their price beats the competition. read more

I used Breda for a couple of years, and I don't care for the technicians they send out, and neither does my dog! lol She is a good judge of character and she doesn't like them at all. Would recommend Breda Pest Management to anyone who has those annoying little critters in the attic. I have had squirrels in the attic for the longest time that come and go and finally had enough of the scratching in the early morning hours and called Breda. They were super fast on getting someone out to take a look and to give me a price. I was going to shop around but when the guy came out, he sold me instantly on the knowledge and stuff that was going in my attic that I didnt even think about. A few guys have came out and took care of it all in just a half day, set traps and even cleaned it all up. We are now able to sleep in and we have not heard one scratch or bang from the squirrels. I found out about Breda through Angies list. I use them for mosquito control and will probably also use them for my regular pest control when my contract expires with my current company. My technician is Frank Waits and he really gave me an education on mosquitos as well as other services that Breda offer. Most importantly my mosquito problem is gone and I am enjoying sitting outside without being their meal. Thanks Frank! read more

What a disorganized mess of a company. We do not own the house so after seeing a lot of carpenter ants and spiders we called the owner. He told me to call and make a appointment with Breda. I originally made a appt. on Tues. But had to call and change to Fri.at 1pm I then had to call and change it to a earlier time on Fri so the downstairs could be sprayed as well. I spoke to a man who told me they could come on Fri. morning at 8am.Fri morning I took off work and so did my neighbor downstairs. We waited and waited. No one came. I called the company and was told there was no record of a appointment on Fri. and that they had no one in Atlanta to come .They said they could come the following. Mon.at 8am. At 8:15 and no one had showed I called ..they said...Their guy was on the way ...8:40am the guy shows up. The neighbor downstairs is now late for a meeting. And to top it all off the guy said he was not there to spray for ants but to inspect for termites. At that point I had spoken to this company 5 times .Not one of the people I spoke with wrote down my name or phone #.and when I called the company again to straighten it out the woman didn't know who I was or what I was talking about even though I am now on call # 6.She also insisted over and over that they had been at our house on Fri.??? What is going at that company? The lack of communication and organization is incredible. My advice to this company is ...Keep a log of your communication with your customers so you can figure out what you are doing. Your a big mess! We will have to wait and see about the bug control results... hopefully that will turn out better than the service. read more

I highly recommend Breda Pest Management for Termite inspection and treatment. Frank England was the most professional and knowledgeable termite inspector that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He performed a very comprehensive evaluation of the home that I am inspecting for purchase using very high end equipment- infra red $10,000 camera- and was able to reassure me that there was no evidence of termites in the home. He provided very thorough explanations with an information based conversation instead of a sales pitched one. I really appreciate his approach and respond well to that. The cost of the termite inspection was $300 but it was applied against the cost of the Termidor Termite treatment- which is guaranteed for 10 years- should I move forward with the purchase of the home and retain their services. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BREDA AND I was especially pleased with the services provided by Frank England. read more

I hate saying this but I was very happy with Breda until they really put us in a bad situation. They told us we had roof rats, over 20 of them. At the same time, we had roaches (inherited this with the house we purchased). They treated the roaches and they died, my dog ate them and then we ended up with a sick dog and $1000 vet bill (all saying that the poison wouldn't hurt the dog). The roof rats then mysteriously disappeared after the bombs went off for the roaches, and now we've got no insulation in the dead summer month of July. The soonest they can come out is 2 weeks from now, even with a phone call to them begging them to come reinstall insulation and the house clear of the rats. So $4000 later plus the $1000 for the dog and $250 increase in the electric bill so far, we are up to our eyeballs in cost and all we get is there's nothing they can do. We are fully expecting another massive increase this month in our electric bill. Shame on you Breda, with three kids in the house (one a newborn) and two houses you take care of for us, there should be something you can do to offset the cost or get out sooner. I hope folks think through this before ever hiring them. I am still not even sure we had rats to begin with since there is no trace of them, no traps ever went off or were emptied. Make sure you verify before hiring them. read more

My wife and I knew we had an issue in our attic, just didn't think it was with bats!!! After doing some online research, and placing calls to a few of the more reputable companies, we settled on setting up an in home visit with Breda Pest Mgt. We could not have made a better decision!!!! The staff member on the phone was kind and attentive and set up an appointment at a specific date and time (which for anyone out there knows, is a rarity in most service industries.) The inspector showed up for the following day's scheduled appointment right on time with a very pleasant greeting. After a bit of small talk and listening to what we thought was our issue, he went straight to the attic to see what was going on. After the attic inspection he came down and explained to us that what we had going on was bats in the attic! He showed us pictures that he had taken where they were hanging out in the rafters and some not so pleasant pictures of the mess they were leaving below! He carefully explained just how important it is to address the bat situation and how important it was to clean up the mess since it's apparently highly toxic if not taken care of properly. He sat down with the wife and I and went over the process of how the team would come out, seal up our gable vents and safely clean up the bat guano so that we no longer had to worry about it from a hazard point of view. We agreed to move ahead with the work and the crew showed up (again right when we we're told to expect them) and got right to work. I was at work, but my wife said the guys were very nice and well mannered and even offered to show her the completed work when they were done. I did check the attic again the next week myself and there were no signs of anything new in our attic. Could not be more pleased with the friendliness and professional service that my wife and I received from the good folks at Breda! read more

I have been using Breda for years and am extremely happy with their service. Justin is the most amazing service provider of anyone who has ever come to my house for any kind of service. He is so knowledgable, experienced, and likeable, plus goes the extra mile to cover trouble areas in the house and is always willing to come back if there is ever a problem (this has only been necessary once or twice). He was extremely helpful when we had a rat problem too. I feel like he treats our house as if it were his own and is very considerate of my children and pets when he treats the house and yard. We also recently had Frank come spray for mosquitoes, and he was professional and courteous. I told him which areas of the yard are high skeeter zones, and he sprayed them extra well. All in all, I am a very satisfied Breda customer as much for the quality technicians as for the effectiveness of their service. read more

I had been doing our home pest control for years, with good results, but when yellow jackets invaded our crawl space and were getting up into our living room (terrifying!), I contacted Breda for the first time. I have been most impressed with their work ("our" yellow jackets have required continual vigilance and the reps have gone beyond the call of duty to help us, at a very affordable cost). I was so impressed with Breda that I now entrust them with the regular pest control treatments of our home. In addition, our big wooded lot has been impossible to enjoy because of mosquitoes so we also have Breda treat our lot once a month. Our property is next to woods and a creek (a mosquito breeding ground) but not to worry: Breda's treatment program is so effective we now sit on our deck and work in our yard for hours without getting bitten - they use products that are safe for our beautiful wild birds too.
