I ultimately do not feel I was listened to or that time and attention was given to me. Further, my blowout did not last long. The bounce and waves were beginning to fall out of my hair before I even made it to me event that night. For makeup, I specially asked for a natural look, stating my face does not do well with much makeup. I explained a horrible past experience and feel my time with Heat was nearly a repeat. The stylist rushed through the application and did not even have my wash my face before beginning. She said she would be applying neutral and nude colors but I ended up with extremely dark eyes and chocolate colored lips. The look was completely opposite of what I asked for. For someone who doesn't invest much into self care, I expected more of this appointment. It was my first day to myself after having a baby so I was prepared to leave feeling confident and pampered. The larger issue arose when my significant other received an unexpected call from her foot surgeon informing her of a last-minute surgical cancellation. While on her way to the procedure, she responsibly called the salon to cancel her appointment for that day. The receptionist responded rudely and informed her that she would nevertheless be charged a cancellation fee. Moments later, I received an alert from Citibank notifying me of a charge from Steve Hightower Salon. At no point had I authorized the salon to retain my credit card information on file. Naturally, I disputed the charge immediately. Later that same day, I spoke directly with Steve Hightower. The conversation was unpleasant, and his demeanor was unnecessarily abrasive. Nonetheless, based upon his explanation, I decided that I did not want the stylist to unfairly lose compensation, so I reversed the dispute. Several months later, I called to schedule another appointment, only to be informed by the same discourteous receptionist that both my significant other and I were no longer welcome at the salon "per Steve Hightower." Curiously, when I had spoken with him regarding the unauthorized charge to my credit card, he neglected to mention that we had supposedly been banned from the establishment. Professionalism, courtesy, and integrity matter in any business, particularly one built upon personal service and client relationships. Unfortunately, my experience here reflected very little of any of the three.

I don't think it's fair for anyone to spend their time and hard-earned money on poor service, so I'm sharing my experience. I came in for a flat twist with two-strand twists, a simple style I've had done at Texture before and loved. Unfortunately, this time was very different. My two-strand twists were not completed properly. Many were left unfinished at the ends, and some were already unraveling by the time I got to my car. I also noticed shed hair trapped within several twists, and I was literally pulling loose clumps of hair from my twists as soon as I got to my car. This made sense because after the stylist finished, they put me under the dryer for just a few minutes, then quickly ushered me to the front desk to pay before going back to another client. I wasn't given the chance to properly check my hair in the mirror before leaving. The stylist also didn't clean up the shed hair sticking out of my twists, which made me feel like they didn't really care about the quality of the work. I've had bad salon experiences since I was young, and Texture was the one place I felt I could truly trust. I've been coming here since 2022 because of that trust. After today, however, I feel taken advantage of, and unfortunately, that trust is broken. I don't think I will be returning.

I have fine curly/coily hair I hacked while in lockdown, and Hannah fixed me riiiiight up. Quickly. With ease. Us curly folks already know the fears of salons, but Hannah was confident, super super sweet, and so good at what she does. The owner was there too, which I thought was really cool. Overall, I was made so welcome (even though I called literally 20 minutes before I came in), the salon was so cute and cozy, and I left feeling like a million bucks! Will so definitely be back to visit Hannah in a couple months for a trim and maybe some color! Her hair was the hottest pink, and inspired me to get some color goin again.

So then the end result was my hair being much shorter than I wanted in the first place. Much of it was dry cutting which can be so hit or miss depending on the stylist, and some texturing at the ends (which to me just made it worse... I prefer thick sharp ends) Love the color and I kept saying that but haircut wise, the more I look at it the worse I feel about it and it just complete takes away from the color since I will prob keep it up until it grows out. In my opinion, It's shaggy and just does not look sleek like after past haircuts. Also peep the long forgotten piece of hair in the back (but the front is the shaggy part I don't like)

Overall, the customer service and styling quality were lacking. I've had much better experiences at other Drybar locations, so I'll be going elsewhere moving forward. This location really needs more skilled stylists and stronger customer service standards.

Once seated in her chair, I clearly explained that I am sensitive to excessive pulling. Despite this, she began detangling my hair aggressively without using any detangler, then proceeded to blow-dry my hair roughly. She moved on to flat-ironing my hair using excessive heat and burned the back of my neck in the process. When I asked her not to do that again, she dismissed my concern, told me I was over-exaggerating, and slammed the flat iron onto the counter. It fell to the floor, narrowly missing my legs. At that point, I stood up immediately. Three incidents were more than enough to show a complete disregard for my safety and the care of my hair. It felt clear that she was eager to move on to the next client--a customer of a different cultural background--whom she spoke to and treated with noticeably more respect than she did me. I then spoke with the store manager to cancel my subscription and was told it could not be canceled for three months (for which was not communicated prior before saying yes). On July 28, 2025, I sent a formal email--including the store manager and corporate contacts--requesting cancellation and a detail breakdown of what took place. To date, no one has followed up, and my subscription has not been canceled. I have continued to be charged $45 every month through February 2026. I will be taking this matter further. I am beyond dissatisfied and deeply disappointed by the lack of care, professionalism, and basic customer service--particularly toward customers of color, myself included. I do not recommend Drybar and especially this location.

I am a natural brunette, and when I met her, my hair was blue black with bangs. We transitioned to a brunette bob with honey highlights, then a blonde lob, an auburn mid length cut, long mahogany waves, long red with rose gold highlights and side bangs and most recently, long red with rose gold, violet, and pink undertones. Every cut has grown out well and the colors have blended and looked gorgeous long after most would have faded. The product lines are really high quality and styling at the studio always makes me feel completely gorgeous before I walk out the door. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of cut, color, and experience.
