A very Szechuan forward restaurant! Their indoor was dimly lit with a nice ambience for intimate dining. More of a narrow, long space but big enough to fit an out 10-12 smaller parties. We ordered multiple dishes to share including stir fried eggplant, salted egg mapo tofu, cold cut chicken, Dan Dan noodles, wanzhou grilled fish, and the husband and wife's special with beef flank and tripe. My top dishes would be the egg plant and the salted egg mapo tofu! Egg plant was perfectly cooked and garlicky. It was a nice change from the Szechuan flavors as was the salted egg yolk. Mild salted egg flavors embodied this different mapo tofu dish. It also came with shrimp rather than minced meat. The flavors were savory and light with a thickened sauce. Recommend getting rice! The dan fan noodles were also delicious but felt the portions were small and not very peanut-y. The chicken wasn't anything too special - clean tasting. The wanzhou grilled fish and the husband and wife's special were saturated in Szechuan pepper oil and peppercorns. The beef flank and tripe was good! But I would've preferred my fish not to be drenched. It was delicious and had all the numbing spices but it got a little bit overpowering towards the end. Breeze is worth trying especially if you love Szechuan!

    cheers!

went here for dinner the other night and im kind of obsessed with this spot. there was so much we wanted to order which just means ill definitely be back. we got the chicken mushroom soup dumplings, bok choy, wanzhou grilled fish for two, and the tea smoked duck buns, everything was delicious. i do wish we added a cold side as a palate cleanser so id recommend that. our waiter was really helpful and patient especially since we were stuck between so many options and gave great recommendations. we also got the Juno and Juju cocktails, both were good but Juno was my favorite. the space feels very NYC with an elevated Sichuan vibe and really cool art on the walls. perfect for a date night, group dinner, or even a nice dinner with your parents.

Hip restaurant that serves classic sichuanese food. The vibe is pretty convivial, not too loud but a good place to hang and stuff your face full of Chinese food. The food here is pretty typical Sichuan (with some additional variety thrown in). I thought the food was pretty good. There's a good amount of heat in what I ate. There's tea-smoked duck was delicious and the diced chicken with chili pepper was a solid rendition. Overall it's a solid spot. I'd like to revisit some day to try to compare to some of its competition.

I've recently been really into Sichuan food, so my friend suggested we check out this spot in Brooklyn. It didn't disappoint! Perfect for sharing, we tried an assortment of dishes including: - Sichuan cold noodle - actually one of my faves, the flavor hit so well! - Tea smoked duck - delicate and great flavor, but small portion for price - Scallion pancake- perfectly flaky and crunchy with great side sauce - Tomato curry with egg tofu - comforting, delicious, exceeded our expectations - Garlic eggplant - solid but probably the least special of the dishes - Chicken - I sadly can't find the name of this dish but it's in the photos, the chicken was sliced very thinly and paired with a yummy fresh tasting vegetable - would recommend! Great service and modern, clean ambiance. Will definitely be back!

Breeze provides an slightly upscale but relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyable music and not too loud. Came in for cocktails and had a great time! The cocktail menu lists several tea-infused choices but alas, I'll have to come earlier another day to try. Drinks - I ordered the Summer Breeze and my friend got the Fresh Meet Peach. Summer Breeze was light and refreshing, consisting some of my favorite ingredients - St. Germaine and yuzu, mixed with hibiscus-infused gin, and Aperol. We stayed for a second drink and I got the Winter Frost #2 (mocktail version) made with winter melon tea. I had imagined this to be extra sweet but it was well-balanced, and the aftertaste left a fuzzy feeling. Although we didn't sit for a full meal, the two small dishes we ordered were delicious. Thousand-Year Egg and Tofu Rolls - delicate to eat unless you managed to eat it in one bite. The end result was a spicy, savory, pungent taste with the cucumber slice to lighten the combination. Soup dumplings - also delicate, the skin was so thin, and the pork juices were overflowing. Great place for dates, or to catch up with friends.

Definitely keeping this place bookmarked for good service, lovely ambiance, and yummy food! Everything was so yummy and the portion size was generous as well. I was skeptical to order the "typical dishes" like the cucumber, scallion pancakes, and mapo tofu, but they all exceeded my expectations. I especially liked the scallion pancakes as they were not just thin, oily pancakes but had great texture and flavor! Do come for happy hour for a discount on their cocktail, Fresh Meet Peach, if you like tea-based cocktails! The jasmine tea was fragrant and both my friend and I sipped it so fast and got another one. I will definitely come back here but also recommend for friends living in the area/LIC!! We were the only ones when we walked in for our table at 5:30pm on a Monday but it soon got busy and was loud and crowded.

This is a low key Sichuan restaurant with highly attentive staff and refreshing cocktails. The inside is relatively small but airy. The pork soup dumplings were delicious. The scallion pancakes were light and crisp. The diced chicken with hot chili peppers was very spicy as expected. The mapo tofu was more salty than I'm used to. The hibiscus tea infused summer breeze cocktail was very unique and refreshing. The prices were very reasonable.

Breeze offers a modern vibe on Szechuan classics - a welcome addition to Manhattan Ave. Their cocktails are 10/10 - I ordered the Fresh Meet Peach, which was refreshing on a sweltering summer day. We started with the pork soup dumplings, wonton in chili sauce, and Dan Dan noodles - my go-tos at any Szechuan restaurant. Had good flavor, they could have gone a little heavier on the Szechuan peppers, as it wasn't as numbing as expected. Ordered the tea-smoked duck to share - leaner and has a subtler flavor than Peking Duck, plus they give a lot of meat for the amount of buns you get. Overall, service was excellent - it's a great spot for dinner if you're in the area.

Such a delicious meal! I grew up eating dim sum, so Breeze's menu felt like a warm hug from home. We got a bunch of dim sum dishes and a few other dishes. Dim sum: xiao long bao, har gow, and shumai. Everything was delicious! My only complaint is that dim sum should not be this expensive, but (1) it's Brooklyn, and (2) the super cozy interior and dining experience is all a part of that price tag. Sides/mains: chili wonton, dan dan noodle, tomato curry. The standouts for me were the dan dan noodles and tomato curry. The noodles had a great texture and were packed with so much savory flavor. The tomato curry was also so flavorful, yet light, and I loved the addition of tofu and enoki mushrooms. Both of those textures went so well with the curry. Drinks: peach tea cocktails. So delicious! Whenever I get a "tea" based cocktail, I can almost never taste the tea, but this cocktail was deliciously tea-forward! It was so smooth and refreshing, and the perfect amount of sweet. They also have a great HH deal on drinks :)

I came here for dinner one evening and had an amazing time! The interior of Breeze is intimate and a bit romantic, good for a date night (or even a good dinner with friends). The space is a bit small, so I recommend reservations if you can! My friend and I got their mouth-watering chicken, cucumber salad, chili wontons, diced chicken with Sichuan peppercorn, tea-smoked duck, and pumpkin glutinous rice cakes. Everything was so delicious. I loved the cold chicken dish to start our meal and the cucumber salad was light and refreshing. The chili wontons and diced chicken were packed with flavor. I wasn't honestly the biggest fan of the smoked duck, but I think that was more personal preference (still an amazing dish!). And, the pumpkin glutinous rice cakes were a good, filling way to end the meal with a treat that wasn't too sweet. Good Sichuan spot!

What a beautiful spot! It is really quite cozy in here and I was excited by the menu options. My friends and I shared a lot of dishes and our favorites had to be the bok choy and mushroom dish as well as the century egg dish. I thought they did exceptional on their vegetable dishes here. I cannot really comment on the spicy foods as I don't have a high tolerance for spice but from what I heard, it's delicious! I was excited for the crab egg tofu dish but it was lacking a bit of oomph for me. It was also quite salty. Visually it's beautiful but it did not meet my expectations in terms of flavor. It was nearly there I think but that also may just be personal preference perhaps. I do also wish some small bowls could be provided as it's difficult to scoop on a plate. I loved the scallion pancakes here and the Dan Dan noodles. It had a nice kick to it! The staff are also really kind and patient here. I accidentally broke a sake bottle I had with me and the staff immediately cleaned it up and provided me with 2 extra bags to carry my non broken bottle. Shout out to them and apologies again! Overall it's a great spot to be with friends or loved ones and there are great vibes here. I would definitely come back again for the vegetable dishes and century egg!

Breeze is a good, affordable lunch spot when you're craving some Szechuan food. Overall, each lunch meal comes with a cold side (radish, beancurd), main, and white rice for under $20. We got the salted egg yolk tofu, dry baby rib with potato slices, and mapo tofu. The egg yolk tofu was the best of the three dishes and had a nice balance between the crab roe flavor and silky tofu texture. The baby ribs were a bit oily for my liking and the mapo tofu wasn't anything special. The place wasn't packed which was nice for a slow paced afternoon.

I next just got a regular lychee martini, which was much less sweet & a perfect drink #2 - we started with the pork dumplings which had such a complex sauce. it looked like a basic chili oil but there was a tangy vinegar and a sweet aftertaste that balanced out the numbing spice. the dough was so chewy & thick, I loved. - the cold eggplant was very garlic forward & naturally ofc coated in spice. it's a large serving of the same vegetable but we ate every piece - we split the tofu & fish entree. this was insane, the same base and consistency as mapo tofu. incredibly rich and flavorful with light large chunks of silken tofu & battered fried soft fish. the fish absorbed so much of the sauce, which honestly I was eating by the spoonful.

Service 4/5: We were seated immediately at a table for 2 on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Not sure if the saltiness of our appetizer overpowered the flavors of the soup but it started to taste too sweet (kind of like ketchup?). Slightly disappointed at that. I tried the original soup base and like it more so probably pick another base if you come here. No complaints about the ingredients you get to add though, those were delicious. I chose Udon, fatty beef, fish filet, honeycomb tripe, and enoki mushrooms. - Stir fried potatoes 4/5: They look like fries but they're not crispy. Very flavorful though; salty and spicy. I can see the appeal and would be great as a separate snack but it made my noodle soup taste bland in comparison...
