This place has been on my list for a while now but I never wanted to make the journey to Williamsburg to try it out but I decided to make the trek for my friend. We decided to do family style and everything came out really quickly. They do have match boxes in the front of this resturant as well for those who collect! -Fei-Hong Fries: These were pretty crispy and a cool take on regular french fries! -Crab Tofu: This was so good, highly recommend this dish. The crab flavor actually came through the tofu and the tofu was so silky. It went so well with rice. -XO Sauce with Prawns & Glass Noodles: This dish was also delicious - you can really taste the prawn flavors. Overall - super vibey resturant with solid good. Highly recommend checking out if you are in the area!

After water front walk near by, with some of the most incredible City views, we end our evening here. It's an upscale spot with a common touch, not an easy balance to maintain but they pull it off here. Fancy modern decor with friendly efficient service. Then food options are all shareable, and portions are generous. Everything we ordered was delicious, and beautifully presented. And to top it off, our server Vivian was an excellent host and cut out time in half by helping us order. Highly Recommend a visit

Nice, bougie Chinese spot in Williamsburg. My brother and SIL enjoy it here, and we had dinner together. We had scallion pancakes, tofu with century eggs, har gow, beef with green peppers, tea, some lobster fish, and a sour fish soup with peppercorn. It was all quite good.

Conflicted about this place-- I'd heard such amazing things about it and I really wanted to like it but the food didn't quite match up with what I was expecting. The ambiance is nice and very roomy, clearly targeted towards a younger crowd. Presentation of all the dishes was good too. As for the food, I guess it's a good option if you're not used to traditional Chinese food and looking to try it? The flavors were definitely more catered to an American palate (as my sister put it, it felt like an American restaurant with Chinese dishes-- from the decor to the lack of complimentary tea or rice, menu was written only in English, vast majority of customers were non-Asian, none of which is /bad/, but if you're looking for a more traditional Chinese restaurant, Antidote isn't it). Onto the dishes-- the favorite hands down was the sliced pork with garlic sauce, which was beautifully plated and super flavorful. DongPo pork belly was very tender, just much sweeter than I'm used to. The green peppercorn fish had lots of numbing spice and the fish was very tender; it just wasn't as sour or spicy as I was hoping. Crab tofu was basically all yolk flavor and no crab flavor (not surprising, given how little crab they added). Sautéed pea shoots were very fresh and cooked well. Cocktail list is also super solid. Dessert was a let down-- we ordered the espresso crème brulee, which had absolutely no brûlée (tasted more like a vaguely coffee flavored flan).

Came here on a sunday evening at 6:45 PM with a reservation for 3, and were seated fairly quickly. The interior was very classy, but it was a bit loud. We ordered fei hong fries, crab tofu, duck fried rice, kung pao chicken, and bok choy with garlic. My favorite dishes were the crab tofu and the kung pao chicken. I enjoyed the flavors of the crab and egg yolk in the tofu, although the oiliness was a bit offputting. I found the chicken to be very tender and flavorful, although not as spicy as I'd like. I also really enjoyed the tenderness of the duck in the fried rice, and the mala of the fries. The bok choy was good too, but didn't stand out as much. Overall, it was pretty solid szechuan food, but a bit pricy for what it is.

Crab tofu and dandan noodles were excellent! Looking forward to trying more items from Antidote.

The ambiance is top tier, and the portions are big enough to order a few things and share. I went with a group of 4--we got 4 large entrées and 3 bowls of white rice, and everyone left full and satisfied. The spicy dishes are actually spicy and flavorful, so if you can't handle heat, don't ignore those labels--they're not playing. The vibe is really good too--super aesthetic but still feels chill. We went before a show at Baby's All Right and it was packed with people going to the same concert, which made it fun. Definitely a solid date spot or somewhere to spill tea with friends.

Had a wonderful dining experience. First off, we had lots of last minute changes to our party and they were very understanding and accommodating. Secondly, loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Everything was very aesthetic. Lastly, food was amazing! Not a single dish that we didn't like. This is the kind of spot you'd wanna come with a larger group to order a bunch to try a little bit of everything.

I'm Chinese and from the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California so I know Chinese food and this place did it right. I made a reservation for 3 at 8:30 pm on a Friday night and it was definitely necessary. The wait for walk-ins was pretty extensive. The restaurant itself is super dark and pretty loud but that didn't matter to me once I started eating the food. To share, we ordered the dan dan noodles ($14.00), scallion pancake ($12.00), sichuan chili fried chicken ($28.00), crab tofu ($28.00), and eggplant with garlic sauce ($18.00). Everything was amazing. I would order everything we got again. The crab tofu was especially delicious. All the dishes were cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. I would definitely come back the next time I visit Brooklyn.

Antidote has such a cozy and inviting ambiance! It wasn't too packed when we arrived, so we were seated right away. The food came out quickly, and everything had a nice spicy kick without being overwhelming. Overall, a great spot for a relaxed meal with flavorful food and a comfortable atmosphere!

Delicious upscale Chinese food in Williamsburg! The place is beautifully decorated and it was quite busy when we went. We got three dishes and all of them were delicious: - Crab tofu: highlight! I highly recommend getting if you like crab, tofu, and salted egg yolks. The taste profile surprised me. The salted egg yolk gave a deep intense flavor to the dish. - Chili chicken: crunchy and flavorful, love how the batter wasn't too thick and the pepper was not too overpowering. - Sauteed green beans: deliciously cooked, the beans had good flavors and it paired very well with the chicken. Overall, I do think this place is worth the hype. It is definitely on the expensive side though. I would recommend the crab tofu!

The food is quite good here. Not sure it was worth the hour trek from where we live but a fantastic place for Chinese food if you live in the area. We loved the pig ears and crab tofu the best. The string beans and short ribs with chestnut were also pretty good. We were able to make a last minute reservation for 4pm on a Friday but didn't need it as it was almost completely empty.

Solid sichuan food in williamsburg! Met up with some friends for lunch and got our usual assortment of mapo tofu, dandan noodles and green beans and they were all super solid 9/10 good enough to rival spicy moon I liked that the waiters didn't hover over us and let us enjoy our meal in peace as someone who does not prefer to be asked how my food is mid bite Also a moment for the decor, I loveddd this space, it was huge and airy and gorgeous with lots of natural light and tastefully placed plants. Definitely a trendy williamsburg spot but the food does not disappoint

Is it possible to dine here alone at a small table or a bar?

Yep, I've been here solo. But you still need a reservation if you plan on going peak hours.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.
