    Fried Eggplant
    Renata G.

Love Win Son.. the flavors are on point, good variety of dishes and lively vibe. Noodles are delicious here! We also tried the fried eggplant. Loved it all. There's a bit of a wait generally so get ready. But their bakery is across the street (which is also busy). If you keep walking between the two you'll feel like there was no down time lol.

This place was very unusual but so good. I loved it. Came here with some friends, waited a bit as it was busy on a Wednesday night but I didn't mind and the server was hostess was nice. Just know, book ahead even on days you think you might not need to. Food was awesome. In particular I gotta reccomend the scallion pancake, lamb ribs, and lobster pasta. All fire. Vibes were great with even some decor for Halloween. Do attend.

$28 a person (2 people) for the picture food but I basically took most of the half of my chicken sandwich home. Prices are expensive but portions are decently big. The beef roll was interesting and yummy and well balanced. Didn't blow me away but did think it was yummy. The chicken sandwich was nicely fried but again didn't blow me away but was tasty. Definitely a very heavy meal.

Walked in at 9pm on a Saturday and while it was busy inside, we were sat promptly and our dishes came out pretty quickly - but we didn't feel rushed at all. We enjoyed all three dishes - the Marinated Cucumber tasted refreshing on its own but even more addicting with the chili crisp oil on the table. My favorite was the Chicken Wontons - they were tossed in this savory, buttery, glossy sauce that resembled the flavor of Cheesecake Factory's Pasta da Vinci. The Sesame Noodles were super unique with not only a very forward peanut taste but earthy tone. Would love to come again and try more of their dishes!

Wonderful, cozy, Taiwanese-fusion restaurant that's perfect for brunch. Make a reservation because they get packed on the weekends! Everything is shareable but definitely don't miss the pork buns - they were perfectly juicy and savory. Another brunch-specific menu item that stood out were the pancakes! Wish I took a photo of them, but it was one large pancake that spanned the width of the plate. Crispy edges surrounded a fluffy center, with a flavored butter on the side and boba-filled syrup.

Thought this place was good and fit the neighborhood well. All i tried was the bacon egg and cheese scallion pancake sandwich. I'd rate it about 4/5. Also had a mango jasmine milk tea which i enjoyed thoroughly. It was a little difficult to figure out where to enter not being from the area but once you find it, its a pretty large space with plenty of seating. Staff was kind and service was quick. Probably would come back to try other food items.

    Lychee Martini

The cutest little place on the corner for a twist on traditional Taiwanese food (think fusion). Had a reservation for 2 at 6:00, showed up a little early and we were sat immediately. Had the perfect night catching up with a friend over drinks and delicious food. Lychee martini was definitely more on the martini side than the sweet side (but that's what I prefer). Food ranked in order would be 1) wontons 2) beef rolls 3) lobster noodles. Dessert could've fed 4, we were so stuffed but had to make room. Sesame ice cream was the perfect blend of salty and sweet. Would definitely come back to try the other dishes on the menu!

Had to wait two weeks for this resy but it was worth the wait. We had: marinated cucumbers - garlic + cilantro, we added the wu yu zi cured mullet roe sloppy bao - minced heritage pork, chili + peanuts clams & basil - green garlic + scallion pancake tofu fly's head- stir-fried doufu gan, garlic chives, yunlin black beans & zhajiangmian - wavy noodles, lamb + fermented bean sauce Holy cow - everything was delicious!!! I only had an issue eating the zhajiangmian because of the spice level, but still very yummy and flavorful. We tried two cocktails, the Plant Daddy (cilantro-mint tequila, matcha, lemon, simple + egg white -- very refreshing!) And vaquero chino (chili infused scotch, lemon, lime, egg white, simple + basil) Service was on point and efficient. I would happily eat here again any day.

Win Son is reservation-only and not easy to get into but it is 100% worth it. We finally snagged a table and I loved every single thing about this place. Every dish was incredibly tasty, flavorful, and thoughtfully done. Nothing misses. The flavors are bold yet comforting, and you can really feel the care behind the food. Even the simplest items feel elevated. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for brunch, and the menu makes you want to come back again and again. This is one of those spots that lives up to the hype and then some. Hard to get, but once you're in... you get it. Absolute Brooklyn gem

Think of this place more as a Taiwanese fusion restaurant, and you'll enjoy it a lot more. It's definitely not authentic, but they do a nice job with creative twists. I really liked the wu yu zi mian--the cured mullet roe (aka Taiwanese caviar) noodles--which reminded me of the Asian-influenced Italian spots I love in Taiwan. Their o-a jian isn't authentic at all, but if you think of it more like a jian bing, it works. The pea shoots were delicious and probably the most authentic dish of the night. And I also liked their fried eggplants a lot but I'm just simply a huge eggplant fan in general. This place has been on my list for a while and we were in the area on a Saturday night so we thought, why not try our luck?! So we tried walking-in around 8pm and they told us maybe for an hour so we definitely got really lucky since they're so popular. We got a drink nearby so it wasn't too bad of a wait at all! We're the only Asian customers in the resturant and the restaurant is packed inside and out. The ambiance is nice and lively, I'm very happy for their success!

The scallion pancake sandwich was insane. It's pretty big and the beef tongue filling was so thick. The fan tuan was chewy and flavorful. Overall a great meal and I am excited to come back to try the sweet options

Easy walk in to get. Food was good, I think I actually prefer the win son bakery across the street. I would recommend though the chicken bun, and the pan griddled dumplings. Food is coursed out so in case you order a lot so that's awesome. Service was quick.

    Clams and scallion pancake
    Karen S.

Came by on a random Monday for dinner and drinks and Win Son did not disappoint! We shared a bunch of smaller plates and the lu rou fan. Definitely get the basil clams in the curry sauce as it comes with scallion pancakes you can dip it in. Service was quick and staff were pleasant. Be wary that their single dessert is HUGE. It will easily feed 4. Think caramel glazed donut sandwiched a 4in thick sesame ice cream cube covered in peanuts.

Can't miss with the scallion pancake BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese. Mochi donut (right) is a 10/10. Red rice donut 9/10 -new experience!

The actual area itself is quite cute, and I like the way the interior was decorated. It has a very minimal vibe, but it really suits the place and the neighborhood. We got an Iced Americano, a Mortadella Scallion Pancake Sandwich, and a cocktail called Lovers Quarrel. The drinks were honestly pretty good and very much needed for the weather. The cocktail had this airy tart taste that perfectly matched the vibe of the drink. The sandwich itself was good, however it was extremely oily. The actual taste of the sandwich reminded me a lot more of Indian Omelets than Scallion Pancakes, but regardless, was still tasty, just wish it had less oil. They typically bring the drinks and food over to your table if you decide to sit at a table, which makes it a lot more convenient. The people working there were also doing an amazing job, so kudos to them. Overall not bad, maybe I might come back when it's cooler for the dessert items.

We walked into a space with an energetic atmosphere, an open kitchen, bar seating, and a menu designed for sharing, the kind of place that feels best experienced with a group. The room had a vibrant, social energy with a steady buzz of conversation and the clatter of plates, and the layout encouraged ordering multiple dishes to pass around the table. While the space could get loud and busy during peak dinner hours, the lively environment fit the restaurant's casual and social style. The menu highlights a mix of Taiwanese classics alongside more playful creations. We ordered a few dishes and found the beef noodle soup standing out with a rich, flavorful broth, tender beef, and chewy noodles that made it one of the most satisfying items on the menu. The popcorn chicken was another signature dish, served hot and crispy with plenty of seasoning, making it an easy choice to share at the table. Cold sesame noodles, braised pork rice, and the shrimp floss lettuce cups were also worth considering if we were looking to try a variety of flavors, each arriving well composed and thoughtfully seasoned. Dessert was one of the more memorable parts of the meal. The fried tang yuan served with ice cream offered a creative twist on the traditional Taiwanese rice dumpling, combining a crispy exterior with a chewy center and cold, creamy ice cream. It was one of the more unique desserts on the menu and made a great way to end the meal. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the staff were happy to make recommendations if we were unfamiliar with Taiwanese cuisine. Because Wenwen has become a popular destination, reservations are highly recommended, and walk-in waits can easily reach 30 to 60 minutes during busy evenings. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the flow steady without feeling rushed. Overall, Wenwen offers a fresh take on Taiwanese cuisine while staying rooted in many classic flavors. The combination of well-executed comfort food, creative desserts, and an energetic atmosphere makes it a great choice whether we were already familiar with Taiwanese food or trying it for the first time.
