He has been doing mine for over 2 years now-I go to NYC every month and could get my color done there or anywhere in Austin/Dallas/Boston but I make it a point to ALWAYS go to him. I have been to many salons to try and get a consistent, rich red color that looks natural. Instead of a flat, uniform color, my color has subtle variations in tone and depth, creating a rich and multi-faceted appearance. Every time I leave the salon, my color is wonderful and LASTS too-not the usual fading that occurs in red. JC also does my daughters blonde which more than just a light shade of hair. It's a carefully crafted blend of tones that complements her skin tone -always radiant, and shiny.

I was having trouble growing my fingernails and she showed me some tricks and now they're growing. I mostly use her special touch for my pedis because I'm elderly and can no longer handle this myself. I love the way she does the pedi and the way she takes care of my feet. They decide to do a test strand and after the strand is done she comes back with a manager and is explaining it would be a color correction that they can't do today. While I'm waiting for her to say, "but we can touch your roots or still do the cut etc", the manager jumps in and was SO aggressive with the way she spoke to me. She spoke to me as if I'd already been causing a problem or like this was a serious situation, was so rude. While I'm also waiting for her to say, "but what we CAN Do", she says, "do you have any questions?!". Nope. No questions. I won't be back here. I get being careful with our hair, but maybe put some more attention into selecting better management, perhaps training them HOW to speak to customers when you aren't able to perform a request so they don't make customers feel like an imposter in your chair.

I was in a rush at this point because we had to get to an appointment after as a family and I had not accounted for that. But I went to Eriselda's salon and was NOT disappointed. To have someone actually listen to what I wanted for a color and cut was refreshing!!! Ofelia listened and customized a color and perfectly cut my hair and styled it how I wear it daily. She is a great artist and is passionate and professional , definitely loves what she does. She always makes you feel beautiful about yourself. Ofelia also sells products that help maintain healthy hair. Below I will show my hair, the examples I shown, and the day it was styled and day after. When I first saw my hair finished I thought the curling hairstyle she finished with was super cute but I couldn't really make out much layers. But I wanted to give myself time to feel for my hair cut. In all honesty after that hair cut my hair felt the same just a bit softer. My hairstylist was Grace. Super sweet and kind and very talkative. And I haven't touched my hair with an iron in years, so the hair style she did was refreshing. I didn't know how to express wanting more layers after it was already dried and styled and I wasn't facing the mirror till it was done and after watching butterfly haircut videos I didn't really see the same method done to my hair but again it being my first time for layers I wanted to give it patience and I'm no stylist so I couldn't say her technique wasn't going to give the desired layers. I wanted to trust the process. If I decide to go back I will definitely try to be more vocal even if the hair was styled and finished. I'm only here to express my experience. The hair cut was a gift so idk how much was paid but based off the expression it sounded like it was more than what was expressed online which I hope wasn't because I did ask if drying and curling was an extra cost and was told no. We also tipped on card and in cash so hopefully all was priced right on that. Once again this was just my personal experience and I learned through the process what to do the next time I go to a salon. (P.s I clicked the pics in order but the pics don't look in order after adding them. Grey shirt and brown sweater are the night before and day of before the haircut. Then the curly hairstyle with my heart necklace was what Grace did. And the wavy hair in the purplish flower shirt was day after.)
