The food here was alright. I had the ham and cheese croissant, and I thought it was okay. I wish it was a plain croissant. Also, I wish they had more food options. It felt a bit limited. The iced latte was good, but again, they were limited on flavors. They only had vanilla, mocha, and honey. The seating area is great though! I went there to read a book with a friend, and the couches were super comfortable and cute. The service was good. Nothing out of the ordinary though. read more

I came by to Breezeblock Coffee again recently as I was in the downtown Miami area and I'm so glad I gave them another shot. My iced latte was delicious. The espresso was well balanced with the milk and it was really good. Staff was really nice and helpful. Will definitely be back soon! read more

What I love most is the space of this coffee shop. Attached to Alea apartments, Breezeblock is a place to sit back and get some work done on the laptop. It stays busy with people flowing in and out, and that I can appreciate - city living movement as I sip on my latte getting creative work accomplished. The vanilla latte was delicious. You can never go wrong with house-made syrups! It was on the sweeter side, but the acidity and strength of their coffee did its job with balancing the taste quite well. I'd visit again! read more

I wanted to dislike this place but it is shockingly delicious! This place is challenging for a number for reasons: there is no convenient parking, it's located in an apartment lobby, and it's really expensive. The nice baristas and suuuper tasty iced dirty chais + ham and cheese sandwiches will keep me coming back. read more

This coffee shop has a huge lobby/seating area, as it's in a newish residential building. I ordered a nitro and it was done very well, very creamy foam. Hope this place sticks around! read more

Breezeblock is in a modern space and has a cool interior. It's a little more minimalist but love the high ceiling and natural light that does come in. Just got a standard iced vanilla latte but I enjoyed it. If you're in the area they're a solid spot to check out and shelter yourself from the Miami heat! read more

Solid café! Interior was relaxing. The prices are respectable and even though milk alternatives and adding sweetener is an extra $2, I gotta admit it was a solid matcha--one of the best matchas I've ever had. Highly recommend with oatmilk and adding honey because if you don't, it'll just come out tasting like grassy milk. The matcha was so creamy and perfectly sweetened--the only thing I wish it paying for a large and with all the add-ons, it was mostly ice and the drink itself was so small so it is a bit of a splurge. Since there was just 1 person running everything and was busy and we were the only one in line, we didn't get acknowledged until 3 minutes later even though we were right in front of the lady, but quality of everything was pretty goood read more

I love this small coffee bar, between Bayside and the Brightline station, just inside the lobby of the new Alea apartments complex. It's an easy walk to the Brightline station , and a much better option than you'll find inside the Brightline station. 5 star service: the young guy behind the coffee bar was terrific, fast and friendly. We shared a laugh because I hadn't read closely on someone else's sign pointing down the alleyway ( toward a bar not a coffee bar). We both agreed I needed caffeine quickly to hit on all cylinders. 5 star coffee: the coffee was freshly brewed and strong. It was the perfect brew for early in the morning. I didn't grab any food but the coffee was stellar. 5 star ambience: the location. Was not only convenient but had nice decor and a laidback vibe. The same space leads to the mailboxes and elevators for the apartment building above, so it's busy even at an early off hour. Breezeblock Coffee may be small in size, but it's mighty in flavor. I had the pleasure of trying their matcha, latte, and chai, and each one was thoughtfully crafted and packed with quality ingredients. What stood out most was their chai -- made in-house, not from concentrate. The bold, rich flavor speaks for itself and sets it apart from the typical premade blends you find elsewhere. The matcha was smooth and balanced, while the latte had that perfect blend of strength and comfort. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Great for work. The actual vibe of the coffee shop was so cool if you're looking for a good place to study or work. There was a lot of open space inside the coffee shop, and it has a great open concept. The service was great as the people behind the counter gave me recs and were really nice. I got the pistachio croissant and the chai latte and was happy with both my choices. The chai latte was sweet, which I preferred, and I liked that the pistachio croissant had a cream inside the middle. read more

Ambiance is nice, service is great, the food is really good. My favorite is the ham and cheese croissant or the cinnamon roll. The ham and cheese croissant is crispy, it's savory, it's good value. The cinnamon roll is well balanced, not overly sweet. What matters the most is the coffee hits every single time. I find it hard to find a good latte in South Florida and I've lived here for 30 years. The espresso is usually burnt or the espresso is over watered or too bitter or the latte is watered down with milk. Not here! If you like a plain latte, this spot won't disappoint. I've even had a Cortado here and it was perfect. That's not my dog but he was so cute. There's a lot of cute dogs that pass through the lobby. read more

The place itself is aesthetically pleasing, it's in a resident building. The food/coffee I would def give 3/5, nothing really special. For two coffees and two avocado toasts was $37, I saw the screen where is asked for "additional tip", which we did not agree to tip in the first place & the guy quickly tapped the screen sway so he thought we didn't see it. I'm giving this five stars because the coffee is VERY good (as is the latte art if you sit). However, they run out of a lot of the food pretty early so you should only count on it for coffee needs in general. The overnight oats were good, though, and generally seemed to be available. You can get delivery right to your door in the Alea condo building, which is a nice feature. It takes about 30 minutes. read more

Great Coffee Had the Cortado with Oatmilk and thought it was delicious. Also great place to hang out, catch-up, or study. It's nice and quiet, there are plenty of tables and a couple couches to settle down in. The baristas were awesome as well, they didn't want to close the cap on my to-go coffee because they wanted me to see the foam art. So sweet. read more

Breeze Block Cafe is a chill breakfast spot in downtown. Crazy good. Flaky, buttery, and warm croissants like they just came out of the oven. Coffee's amazing, and the whole place has this laid-back vibe that makes you want to hang out a while. Staff is super nice and easygoing. Best coffee in Bayside Miami! Check out Breezeblock located inside The Alea where you can grab a perfect cup of coffee to start your day. The vibes are immaculate and immediately greeted with a smile by the staff. Their chai is made in house and it's some of the best we have had. Our cruise stopped in port for a few hours, and I had researched coffee shops to try, and now I feel like I made a mistake of picking Breezeblock, since the overall experience left a bad taste. Not really sure how previous reviewers were able to stay long enough to get any work done, or "hang out", seeing as I'm writing this review after getting "asked to leave because you've stayed longer than 30 minutes." We sat for about 55 minutes. I believe it was the concierge of the Alea residential that asked us to leave. The space looked shared, as were the restrooms, as was the table we were sitting at. There was no signage asking people to limit their stay or that there is a limit. Not to mention the space was nearly empty - because had it been busy, I would have understood asking us to leave. We were 2 people, just minding our own business, enjoying our drinks until we were asked to leave. We weren't being distracting or making any loud sounds. How do you pick and choose who you ask to leave...? If not for the getting kicked out for no reason, it would have been 4-5 stars, so the 1 star is for the drinks and the baristas. The drinks themselves were fine. The matcha was sifted properly and was not gritty like some places who don't do it right. The baristas were nice. Please also note that 18% gratuity is automatically added to your order. Don't give this coffee shop your business unless you want to be kicked out, based on how you look (after reading additional reviews, it looks like they kick out guests who stop in port on cruises). read more

This was such a cute café and a perfect place for me to work a few hours. There was a bit of music, but I was prepared and had noise canceling headphones for a quick virtual meeting. I chose an iced chai latte which was quite delicious! Not too sweet and served in a glass so I felt like I was at home. Also, they had non-dairy options so I was happy about that. I grabbed a quick snack (Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish). My friend had a matcha latte and Avocado Toast (not pictured), but she said both tasted great and were perfectly made. Cool coffee spot in Miami Central Business District! Wanted get some work done while enjoying a drink + pastry and found this was a great spot to do so! The interior was very modern, sleek, and had touches of greenery all around. We realized upon entrance that it sat right below an apartment complex, and it also served as sort of a lobby area for residents/ guests coming and going--didn't mind as there was ample space, and I enjoy people-watching. We ordered a matcha latte with vanilla + almond milk (up-charge for flavor), ham & cheese croissant ($1 up-charge for adding egg), and an iced salted caramel latte. The barista was kind and the order came out pretty quickly. Drinks came out nicely--the iced latte tasted like a sweet dessert drink and the matcha was a little above average in my opinion. It looks like they use counter culture for most of their coffee. For their matcha, not sure where it's sourced and if they use ceremonial grade, but it's definitely better than what some other local coffee shops call matcha--I'm just picky when it come to matcha! I also thought the croissant sandwiches were a bit overpriced, but it was prepared nicely and pretty filling. Overall, I'd come to do work here again! Not sure if I'd come to just get a drink and hang, but I was glad I stopped by. read more

This place has no way to correct something wrong if you leave with the wrong drink then oh well they are going to be rude to you when you're explaining to them what happened instead of making it right. Get a phone number listed so ppl can call and talk instead they have to go here and leave reviews like this because you think it's cool to skip having a line of communication open for your customers. It's about time I lett a review for this place they also charge automatic tip included 18% for drinks that never come out that great! That's what to expect here in miami where the face & look of something is much more important than the quality of what you're paying for! read more

Usually I have to take a in an elaborate meal for be anywhere close to 5 stars. But when service is pleasant and attentive and their coffee helps me beat the sleepies from a 6 hour long class on Saturday the A+, I mean 5 stars, are well earned. A classmate mentioned this spot right across from MDC Wolfson Campus in the lobby of the X building, and I came by on a mid class break. The manager went over their various dishes - ie not just "here's the menu" and was making a batch of fresh scrambled eggs for an order. The coffee was strong and not overly sweet. It also had a nice foam decoration. For those not in class, there are a few tables to sip and indulge their dishes such as the aforementioned eggs, overnight oats and baked sweets. read more

Tried this place out while on a quick 2 day jaunt to Miami. It was around the corner from our hotel and was convenient for us, which is one of the main reasons we stopped in. Counter service was friendly, but we were disappointed that they only had a medium roast blend drip coffee and no dark roast drip. Didn't offer a pour over. We each had a a cream cheese danish and a small drip coffee and it took about 10 minutes to get it. We just sat and waited, despite the fact that they were not at all busy on a Tuesday morning. It's not a cheap place...2 small drip coffees and 2 danishes were 18 bucks. Damn! Definitely not worth it. Really wish we'd had a Starbucks nearby. They do have free WiFi so there's that. No street parking available and this is mostly a hangout for the nearby Dade Comm College kids and the residents that live in the tower above. I doubt we'd go back, even if we lived nearby. read more

I guess I forgot what great coffee is supposed to taste like. I absolutely fell in love with this place that I came everyday during my visit to Miami. The ice latte was creamy and still had just enough smooth coffee flavor to satisfy a coffee aficionado's tastebuds. I had the ham and cheese croissant with added eggs and it was so fresh, buttery, and flaky. The food here will raise your standards on what to expect from other shops. I love this coffee spot for a quick coffee or tea run in downtown. Be aware they don't have parking at all! This is in the lobby of a hotel right next to the metro mover. I tried their Ube sesame latte which was absolutely amazing! They get really creative and even though is a bit expensive at $5 for a small cup, I think it measures to all the other coffee spots around and they have some really unique offerings and enough seating for chit chat, work or just to wind down. read more

I ordered an iced chai latte which was pretty average. They have a really nice seating area with wifi though. Only downside is there are very few outlets, so you may want to come with a fully charged laptop if you are looking to work. read more

as a student of mdc, i find myself always looking for new places to have lunch. I LOVE THIS PLACE! it's quite expensive, but it makes for a nice treat every once in a while. the chai tea latte is one of the best i've had, and the ham and cheese croissant sandwich is also very delicious! now, i would like to advise the customer that they do not accept cash- i wish i knew that when i first came! but overall, its a great place with great food and great vibes! read more

This is one of the best coffee shops that I've ever been to. I went every morning while on vacation. The coffee is so good! I had the iced pumpkin spice latte with oat milk. Why is it in a city of Miami's magnitude that specialty coffee is so difficult to find? Whatever the reason, Breezeblock Coffee is a fresh new (and ever welcome) take on the genre. While the emphasis is clearly coffee, I ordered an empanada as well, which was made on-site and quite delicious. I found the location a bit difficult to find so let me explain. The shop shares the lobby with the Guild hotel in the xMiami building between mcdonalds and biscayne blvd on 4th. Breezeblock is definitely a destination shop and one that will have further appeal than to people in the immediate vicinity. I will be back! read more
