HIGHLY RECOMMEND BREKKI BREKKI!!! My colleague and I stopped in for a business breakfast this morning, and what a great decision that turned out to be. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, it couldn't have been any better. What elevated the experience to another level was our server, Taz. I've been in countless restaurants over the years, and every once in a while you come across someone who is simply exceptional at what they do. Taz was one of those people. She was warm, attentive, professional, engaging, and very cool. She seemed to genuinely enjoy taking care of her guests. She made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down and played a huge role in making our breakfast meeting such a great experience. Before leaving, I actually sought out the manager, Shelby, and asked who hired Taz because I was that impressed. Shelby told me she did, and I told her it was a fantastic hiring decision. Then I got to thinking, whoever hired Shelby deserves some credit too. It's clear there's a great team and culture here. The food brought us in, but Taz is the reason we'll be back. We'll absolutely be recommending Brekki Brekki to our friends, family, clients, and colleagues, and we're already looking forward to our next business breakfast here. I just moved to Rio Rancho NM from LA CA. I've been exploring and finding new places to eat. I discovered Brekki Brekki while riding my bike down Southern blvd and gave it a try. First off their food portions are huge and the service and atmosphere is so welcoming. I met several people that work there, and they're all incredibly sweet and friendly. Daisy, Rylee, Brandon, Arron, managers Shelby (amazing), and Johnny all of whom greeted me and their service is beyond super stellar. I ended up ordering a cheeseburger and fries off the kids menu just because the size is like a regular portion for an adult. Typically this place is packed, but I popped by on Friday afternoon when there wasn't as many people so I got all the attention! Lol, no but seriously Brekki is 5 stars--6 stars just for their attention to customers and quality of their work. Parking is pretty available, plenty outdoor spaces to eat or inside. We came here from out of town on a holiday weekend and waited about 20 minutes, but we were able to order drinks at the bar and enjoy the backyard! Loved the vegan options for food. Love that they came to the Westside of town. Parking is WAY easier (although does fill up quickly). Our wait was brief since they had outdoor seating readily available which turned out perfectly. Nice breeze and cool temps. Service was good. Drinks came out quickly. My chai latte was SO good. The sweet chile chicken biscuit was delicious. Reminded me of a take on General Tsao chicken, if you will, but without the spice. It was sweet but not too sweet. The greens and pickled onions added a great touch to the flavoring. Great breakfast spot, love the friendly service and the bright ambiance. I had the veggie skillet and it was delicious. However, with an open kitchen I was able to observe the woman making the waffles would prep those first before any of the hot food so when our food came out the waffles were super cold. #1 parking sucks because its always packed on the weekends and there just enough to go around. I feel sorry for the bank next door on Saturdays. The Saturday we came, we were lucky enough to get seated right away. They do have a nice variety for the menu. I had the Sweet Red Chile Chicken and it was really good along with the pickled veg. The potatoes were ehh, next time I might need to add an extra side or swap that out. The chilaquiles were also good, no complaints. We're willing to come back to try other tasty things off the menu. Service was a little delayed, our server was new and it was really busy. We live close by and would come more often if it didn't feel like you always have to battle for a parking spot. read more

I've passed by brekki many times and there's always a line so long and no parking so I usually just keep driving. But this time I was able to find parking and give this place a try. I ordered the chilaquiles for myself and the breakfast burrito for my fiancé. The chilaquiles portion was very big, I'm a big guy and even I had trouble trying to finish it. The presentation was really nice, the smell flavors were good too. I would say that my only thing keeping this dish from reaching 5 Star is the tomatillo taste in the green that was missing. I love hatch chilies but I think that maybe they should consider throwing both in there to give it that traditional flavor. I didn't do Christmas , so I will try that next time. I would order this dish again one day though it was still pretty good. I was told from my fiancé that the breakfast burrito would have been great but the brisket had a unique taste that was overpowering the rest of the burrito. I was told the potatoes were amazing and if the radio of ingredients was changed a little maybe it would have been better. Or potentially altering the flavor of the brisket to be a bit more traditional as well. One complainant I do have, and I don't usually complaint about price, but the orange juice was a little cup for $9. Maybe in West Hollywood California , people would even pay $10 for that but in Rio rancho New Mexico, I think you should still to around $7 fresh squeezed or $4 from a bottle. I have been to Brekki Brekki twice now. The service has been excellent! It's a great vibe, good energy! I was not happy being placed in the very back near the door when there were other tables open but it is fine. The second time I went I ordered an omelet, sorry no pic! I know people love cheese, usually you don't get enough cheese but......I had way too much cheese! There was so much cheese there was more cheese than egg. Not sure if that is the norm, but once I dig through the cheese, the omelet was tasty!!! For those who love cheese - go get it!!! Next time I am trying a nonbreakfast item!! read more

Even though I am familiar with Brekki Brekki, I saw they opened another location and I had to try it in the bar of science. The Rio Rancho location has a couple of advantages over the OG. The space is way bigger and there is plenty of parking. The decor is very inviting and trendy, similar to the first Brekki Brekki. The service was quite fast and the servers were friendly despite of how busy they were. The brisket benny was difficult to pass with that scrumptious description in the menu. They were visually appealing as they arrived and I was ready to dig in. The brisket was dry but the sweetness and creaminess of the hollandaise greatly helped. The onion rings were well fried and the batter had a little bit of sweetness. The poached eggs needed to be a bit more runny. And that cheese, tomato, and red pepper jam combination made the experience quite interesting and delightful. The side potatoes were dry but had a bit of spice. Overall, the place is big and inviting but the food experience was mixed with interesting flavors and dry brisket and potatoes. I will keep visiting the OG while they keep improving this location. read more

We are moving to Rio Rancho from out of state and this being our first dining outting while in town really set the bar high. Alyssa was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to speak to us about the area and make us feel like we were already part of the community. Food was hot, had great flavor, and was served quickly. This is their 2nd location - we've been to the original and it is always busy. Surprisingly we didn't have to wait. Of course it was middle of the week. Food was good, similar to the quality of the original location. I had the Waffle with Berries. Plenty of berries & whipped cream - didn't really need the syrup. I was back today with 3 friends. I had the Brekki burger. I asked for no poached egg on top, but they added it by mistake. They had run out of French Fries and I had to remind our server two times until I got them, when I was just about done with my burger. A friend had this pork belly Benny, but the pork belly was really not cooked well and full of fat. She was not impressed with it. Another had the green chili cheese burger and throughly enjoyed it. Another had the stuffed pancakes. It was a nice ladies lunch. 2 were visiting from California and got a taste of New Mexico. I will bring more friends here. read more

I do think this establishment is a great addition for Rio Rancho and very clean and modern but it was not my cup of tea. Their Huevos rancheros were served with black beans, a different kind of green chili and pickled/red onion? Just very different. Their brewed coffee was mediocre and served warm even from the pot. It just fell short for me as someone who saw this as a trendy place on social media. I think if you are used to traditional Mexican food it may not be to your liking. Their smashed potatoes were good but the plate only had 3 of them which was not greatnfor the price. I do like that they had a bar with plenty of options and a possible place to meet a friend for happy hour. Lastly, the service was pretty good. Everything... from the food to the service to the pretty new space (maybe not the parking)... but everything was excellent! We stopped in about 9a on a Sunday and although the restaurant was packed and we had to park at the bank, the wait was only about 20 minutes. The service was is done in a team style so it was easily available and quick. One of our dishes was smothered in the wrong chile and it was remade very fast. The portions and pricing were fair. I had a lavender latte that was so good and there was a list of smoothies I could grab on my way to work any day. We had bennys, a protein bowl, country fried chicken and a burrito and everyone loved their meal. The potatoes were one of my favorites - roasted and smashed. The worst service I've had in a long time. Ignored for 15 minutes. Then the bartender came asked us how we were doing when we responded that we were ready to order he just walked off. And then continued to ignore us. Needless to say the entire experience was horrible. The food was over priced for the portions and the service was awful. I will never go back to this place. Brekki Brekki never ceases to impress. I've been to both locations and they are both whipping up great food, with a menu for everyone. It's bright, colorful and warm inside. I went on Labor Day so my friend and I did have to wait a bit, but we opted for a seat at the bar and got service right away. The bartenders were working hard to make sure everyone was served in a timely manner. I love that their portions are large and they have fair pricing for what you get. This location in Rio Rancho has been open two weeks so far and is an obvious popular eatery already as it was packed with happy and hungry customers. The service was prompt and friendly from beginning to end. I felt very much welcomed! The location is bigger than the Albuquerque location, and the menu is also a bit broader with selections. I had the chicken & waffles and it did not disappoint! The chicken was battered, and cooked to perfection. A light crunch, juicy, and just the right thickness. I opted for my gravy on the side and not smothered. The waffles were also tasty with the perfect amount of crunch. A side of syrup rounded out the perfect sweet and savory dish. We visited this restaurant on a Friday morning. The parking is scarce so hopefully when you come visit there will be parking. We got there after 8am and it was already busy. I'm so glad we were able to be seated. The color scheme of this restaurant is so warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and our waitress helped us make decisions on what to order. She was very informative of every menu item. The menu offers a wide variety for breakfast and lunch. We had a hard time finding parking... but we walked in, full house, we saw the bar had seats and it's one of our favorite places to sit, so we found a comfy spot on the corner and got ready to order. My husband had a lavender latte (made fresh at the bar!) and I had the drip coffee (added some lavender to that because, why not?) and let me tell you, I already knew we were off to a great start because our drinks were A+ and our servers/bar tenders, Pamela and Mike, were amazing, attentive, kind, efficient, and wonderful! The whole place just had the most upbeat vibe. We ordered the chilaquiles, Christmas with bacon, and the protein hash skillet with pork belly and guys... wow... I mean, absolutely delicious. Portions were huge. Flavor was on point. Spiciness was perfect. Pickled onions and jalapeño? Chef's kiss. I am not kidding you, if you are sleeping on coming here, get up, make your way out the door, and get in line (or sit at the bar with Mike and Pamela!). So, so good. With a large group of 9, we were prepared to wait awhile for brunch. No worries, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Once seated, it was LOUD. If your party has anyone sensory overstimulated, this may not be for them. It's really bright in color too, so I wouldn't take my AuDHD child. Our server wasn't happy when we asked about splitting checks before we even ordered, and then once we ordered we learned their system can only have five orders at a time, so half of us got our food quickly and the other half had to wait quite awhile. So that wasn't great. The orders came out accurately, so another positive. But then everyone started trying their food. The majority of the remarks were "mid". The strawberry cheesecake "pancakes" were neither crepes nor fluffy pancakes, some kind of middle ground that lacked the punch of either, and the "cheesecake" filling was straight whipped cream mildly hinting at cream cheese. All three different hash skillets were tasty but very small. The bowls of chile and requested extra sauce were teeny tiny. The red chile was mostly thickened watered down chile-ish, but the green was delicious. They were out of OJ and don't serve tomato juice since they have a Bloody Mary bar and only have the mix for that on hand. What? The two sides of bacon were inconsistent as well, one crispy to almost burnt and the other super floppy. It ended up okay because the two swapped since one likes a bit crispier and the other a little softer, but still. Unless specific doneness is requested, you expect both would be the same. The two who had chocolate chip (one French toast, one pancakes) said the whip and chocolate chips would have been sweet enough, but the cheap grocery store chocolate sauce flavor dominated both dishes and tipped them to over sweet. The plain French toast was nice and fluffy but nothing special. Overall, that was our experience. Some things tasty, others disappointing, others just okay. I'd personally give it one more shot but the rest of my party isn't so interested. read more
