    V1 Video analysis

My son has been going to Brian for 3 years starting at 11 years old. My son is catching up to the kids who have been golfing since 5 because of the foundation Brian has built leveraging his experience as a PGA golfer, V1 video analysis, Foresight GC2 launch monitor and rapport with kids and adults alike. Brian makes learning one of the most frustrating sports fun. I learn a lot just listening to the instruction he gives my son. One tip: Brian runs a kids clinic every Saturday morning at 9 am which is a great way to try out golf for kids or just get additional instruction. At the end of each clinic is a putting contest which gets very competitive. The only caveat is if you win, you need to give a speech just like the pros!

The facility is a dog but Brian is a gem. Don't let the place stop you from getting great advice with a fun guy

This requires both expertise and intense observational skills; but what sets Jacob apart as a coach is his delivery. As a coach, Jacob has a crisp clarity + genuine warmth that clearly sets him apart as a truly exceptional teacher. With an infectious encouragement despite your skill level, Jacob is an outstanding coach + amazing ambassador to the sport of golf! On a personal note, this total noob went from not being able to even make contact with the ball, to being able to hit both irons + driver within 6 lessons. For how insanely difficult this sport is to maintain progress and hit consistently -- especially for this athletically challenged human -- those results speak for themselves. A rare gem indeed.

Eventually I hit a plateau and was no longer improving. Thanks to Coach Jacob's guidance and expertise, I quickly saw a significant improvement in my swing, accuracy, and overall game. He helped me develop a consistent swing and taught me important strategies for both long and short shots. He really goes the extra mile and records videos that helped me out a ton when I practice alone. What I appreciated most about Coach Jacob is his passion for the sport and his desire to help me succeed. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with such a knowledgeable and supportive coach, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their golf game.

The course is in phenomenal condition, with beautifully maintained fairways, immaculate greens, and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean throughout the round. Watching the hang gliders soar overhead while you're playing makes the experience even more memorable. The South Course is definitely challenging, but that's part of what makes it so much fun. You can tell you're playing on a course that's hosted major championships, yet it's still a public course that anyone can experience. Every hole feels unique, and you'll find yourself stopping more than once just to take in the scenery. After the round, we ate at The Grill at Torrey Pines overlooking the course. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and relaxing on the patio with those incredible golf course views was the perfect way to end the day. The Grill at Torrey Pines is absolutely worth checking out if you're playing a round. (Wish I took more photos) Whether you're a serious golfer or just love visiting iconic courses, Torrey Pines is an unforgettable experience. It's easy to see why golfers from around the world make the trip. We'll definitely be back!

It pains me so much to leave this review…read more Extremely disappointed by how a battery assault incident was handled by the Torrey Pines supervisor Jack. Torrey Pines has been my favorite golf course in San Diego. As a San Diego resident, I could not be more disappointed by what happened today and, especially, by how the situation was handled by the Torrey Pines supervisor, Jack. During my round, another player became involved in a heated disagreement with us. The situation escalated, and he physically assaulted me with his putter, forcefully striking me in the chest. I did not retaliate. I left the situation and called 911 to report that I had been assaulted. Police responded, along with emergency personnel, and documented the incident. The responding officer provided me with a police report number and told me that I was being treated as the victim of a misdemeanor assault and battery. Afterward, I went to the pro shop because I wanted to understand what action the course would take regarding the other player. I was not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted to know whether the player would be removed from the course after a physical assault had been reported. Unfortunately, my experience with the supervisor, Jack, was extremely disappointing. I initially spoke with him at the pro shop, and he told me that the course had not yet made a decision and that he would get back to me. I later called the pro shop twice to follow up (1 got through) because I had not heard anything. I was simply trying to understand what action, if any, the course was taking regarding the other player. Instead of addressing that question, Jack told me that I was being "pushy" and accused me of "harassing" him. He also brought up the number of police officers and emergency personnel who had responded, as though that was something I had requested or controlled. I had simply called 911 to report that I had been assaulted by a single individual ; I had no control over how the police or emergency services chose to respond. The conversation ultimately ended with Jack telling me that he did not want to "deal with this anymore" and hanging up the phone on me. I understand that there may be conflicting accounts of an incident and that management may need to follow a process before making a decision. I also understand that the course may not be able to disclose every detail of its decision-making process. What I found deeply disappointing was the lack of support and the way I felt my concerns were dismissed after I had reported being physically assaulted. I've attached a screenshot showing my two calls to the pro shop, made simply to follow up on what decision the course had made regarding the other player. For doing so, I was accused of "harassing" the supervisor. Torrey Pines is a City of San Diego municipal golf course, and I expected a much more professional and supportive response from the management of a public facility. This is especially disappointing because Torrey Pines was previously my favorite course in San Diego. After this experience, I no longer feel comfortable returning.
