    Excellent Fench Dip sandwich!

I have been here a couple of times. The food has been excellent both times I have been. I will definitely be back. Great food at reasonable prices. This explains the packed parking lot! Give them a try if you are in the area!

Great spot. They burgers are good, the catfish is great. Some of the best I've had. Since they update the interior it's awesome! TVs all over. The servers are always nice and attentive

It's been forever since I had been to any Brewbacher's, and this one in particular, so I was excited when it was suggested for date night. I'd been craving a potato so I got the loaded/twice baked potato along with a small hamburger steak. I also got a side sensation salad, which was as good as I remembered. The potato was large, cheesy and filling. I really liked the "jus" on the hamburger steak as opposed to a thicker gravy. There was a nice helping of grilled onions for a different taste and texture and I appreciated the little bit of char on the hamburger steak. My hubs got the half and half poboy with shrimp and fish. He also got onion rings on the side, which I sampled. They were fried just right and did not taste like frozen run-of-the-mill onion rings. The interior has been remodeled/upgraded since my last visit. It's clean, perhaps almost a little bit too sterile for my taste,, but a nice change from the old. The service was attentive and friendly. If I have a negative, it's that some items seem to be priced a bit high. $3.50 for a fountain drink is pretty steep to me, as is $6 for a side of onion rings. I know food prices are soaring, but it just seems high to me. Perhaps it was to offset the lower cost of the poboy--which, conversely, I did find to be a good value. Nevertheless, I appreciate the expansive menu and look forward to bringing the teenagers next time.

It's just so dry, it's inedible. Dunked in au jus, still like shredded beef jerky.

I have tried this place four times before making a review. The girls I work with love their salads! We joke abt it bc everyone has to wait until payday to go, bc their salads are like $20. I've tried their gumbo, shrimp po boy, French dip, and hamburger . Parking is absolutely terrible. My anxiety is 110% going just bc of that. EVERYTHING I've had is so dry, it makes me cough choke. I told the office girls that I'm just not going back. I'll include pics of my very last time giving them a chance.

Had rotten lettuce in my salad The fried shrimp on the combo seafood platter was tiny popcorn shrimp for $24 Had the shrimp and catfish combo It's much better than the other location. I have a real shrimp at the Drusilla location that. But is popcorn here. And they don't tell you.

    New modern look.

This wasn't the best place to meet my sister to catch up when she was in town for a few days. We were expecting the ambiance of the other Brew-Bacher's we'd been to but the grays and dark grays that dominated this locations made it feel cold and sterile.I get it, it was the in color palette for a while. My niece's house looks the same way and I was even talked into choosing that color for my kitchen floor when I had it redone; But, for a casual dining restaurant, the flare of the other location is a little more to my taste. This location has more of a sports bar and that may be what you're looking for so great, it's for you. There were a lot of people in there enjoying their evening. Lots of families with kids. Even babies. So don't even listen to me. It's working for them. What I think really turned us off was how loud the volume was of whatever football game was playing. I mean, it was BLARING. My sister joked that they probably turned it up so loud so the parents don't have to listen to the crying babies. At least on game night, this wouldn't be the place to go to if you want to have conversations with the people on your table, but perfect if you are very interested in the game. Also, don't worry about missing the action. I've never seen so many TVs in a place. Literally lining exterior walls. Think Best Buy! What was great were the servers behind the counter taking our order. I arrived before my sister did and the young lady back there was extremely helpful, personable and friendly. Suggested items and told me what was good and not good. The second employee was also very friendly and personable when I picked up the order once it was ready. So customer service there is phenomenal. Whoever trained those people did an amazing job. Get this though. When you check out on the card reader -- if you go to any restaurant or business, you might know that people are tip crazy not just at places like this, but simple things where you don't have to even deal with anyone. I understand because things have changed and everything is so much more expensive now. When you go to run your card and they ask you to place a tip, the starting option is now 22% and goes up from there significantly instead of having 18% as the base amount and 22% in the middle as the option. These people deserve the tip so I just ended up tipping them in cash, but that should be noted since that was the first time I've seen that as the choices. How was the food? I got a bacon cheeseburger and my sister got a taco salad. She had no complaints about her taco salad and I had no complaints about my burger. Good food. Nothing out of the ordinary. Prices were amazing. For my burger that came with fries and I ordered a drink as well was $15. When you consider that a Meal from McDonald's is also $15. That was a great deal. That's probably the reason there were so many families there that night. It won't break the bank for a family dinner at this place. I can say that if I lived closer to that area, I would go back but it's nothing to drive all over creation to go see. Great for the locals. Probably the wrong choice for that particular evening for me though.

    Leather Homemade Onion Rings

Absolutely disappointed. I don't understand how this restaurant is still open. Ordered a large onion rings. The onions were not pealed before cutting and cooking. So could not even bite into the leather like rings. See picture. So $10 down the drain French dip sandwich was chewy dry beef and little flavor in the meat or dip Brew bachers has been around a long time in Baton Rouge but not at all what it used to be. Look at the average yelp reviews before wasting your money there. There are many better options for a sandwich in Baton Rouge

She came across as short, unfriendly, and overall not very pleasant. I first ordered a Banana Foster's Martini, but she came back and said they didn't have the ingredients. No problem--I asked for an Espresso Martini instead. A few minutes later, after bringing everyone else's drinks, she returned and simply said they couldn't make that either and asked if I wanted something else. At that point, I just declined. When it was time to order, our table had nine people. She took my husband's order, then went around the table taking everyone else's order. By the time she got back to me, she said, "Okay, is that it?" I had to remind her that she hadn't taken my order yet. I ordered the crab and corn bisque, a salad, and the stuffed catfish with creamed spinach. The salad came out quickly and was very good. Then everyone else at the table received their meals while I only received my bisque. After waiting, I was told my stuffed catfish "didn't come out right" and had to be remade. At that point, I honestly wondered if it was a joke. It wasn't. By the time my entrée arrived, everyone else was nearly finished eating. To the restaurant's credit, they did remove the stuffed catfish from my bill, and I appreciated that. However, the entire experience left me feeling overlooked from start to finish. My biggest suggestion would be for our waitress to work on her customer service. A smile goes a long way. Saying things like "Give me that plate," slamming cups onto the table, and appearing annoyed throughout the meal doesn't create a welcoming dining experience. Hospitality is just as important as the food, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

Ooffff... it's fine. We're laid back and can roll with the punches-they're busy and staff was friendly-it'll all be worth it when the food rocks our socks. Sadly...no. Both grilled cheeses (entrees) were room temp and the cheese was already hardening. It felt as if they had forgotten to deliver the food. Waitress was so kind and took the one off our check. It was appreciated. Boudin balls were great!! Bedford and remoulade sauces were okay. Parmesan potatoes were good!! Brussel sprouts and fries were fine-would have been better if served hot, I think. We did the pie flight and they were all good. Not mind blowing, but good. I always give out second chances-public service and food service is tough and sometimes you just have off days. Worth checking out if you live in town!! But if you're just passing through, maybe just get some pie to go.
