This place is so good I took my leftovers all the way to Florida with me the next day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute place, food is beyond excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ask for Morgan if you're able to request her. She's so much fun.

    Skip egg rolls. No good.

Just mediocre food and what made it worse I waited for it. The egg rolls were nasty. The sauce was too much and lacked actual andouille flavor. The pork belly was tasteless. The shrimp pasta was just ok. Shrimp had too much black pepper. The pistolette was good. Didn't even bother with dessert. Was already disappointed enough. Service at bar was slow as apparently she has to do more than just bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tiny place nice ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This restaurant is a hidden gem located in downtown Baton Rouge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is chic and classy, great for dinner dates, large groups, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went for a birthday dinner a couple of weeks ago and were not at all disappointed![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the andouille and pork egg rolls and sweet and spicy alligator bites as appetizers. Both were very flavorful, the alligator was tender and not gamey in taste. Service was great, attentive, warm and welcoming. Our waitress suggested menu items and helped with entree selections. Between our whole group everyone had a different dish from the short ribs, Jerk fried chicken breast and red beans and rice, and more. The crème brûlée was very delicious also, not too sweet. I had the blackened red fish dish with smoked collard greens, corn grits, all topped with crawfish étouffée. This dish was outstanding, absolute culinary genius and a twist on creole cuisine. The cocktails were also delicious, refreshing, and perfectly mixed. I had the blueberry lemon drop martini with fresh muddled berries and the pomegranate martini. This restaurant is a very nice addition to my regular rotation! I will be back soon.

This was my second time at Cecelia, and this visit was for a company event. We had the upstairs venue rented out with a buffet, and everything was absolutely delicious. The space itself was perfect. Stylish, spacious, and great for hosting any type of gathering. I've also dined in the downstairs restaurant, and the food there is just as impressive. Whether you're planning an event or simply looking for a great spot downtown for lunch or dinner, Cecelia is definitely worth it.

Some of the worst food ever! Really thought we found a new place. Wrong! We order several things and only liked the water. From the egg rolls to the red beans were awful. My co worker and I went here for lunch and we weren't disappointed. We ordered the small skilled cornbread as a appetizer and it was the best thing ive ever tasted. I opted to eat at this place strictly for the cornbread and I'll be back for that same reason. It amazing it melts in your mouth once you add the syrup and the butter provided. The Tasso pasta was a lunch portion but I had enough left over to eat for dinner they give you a nice portion. It's also seasoned pretty well. I believe I also asked for the chicken to be blackened so that was a plus. I had the house salad, the do not carry ranch dressing but they had this particular dressing that I can remember the name of tha was a cross between Caesar and Greek dressing it was amazing. I will definitely be back, especially for the corn bread. The service could've been a bit better we didn't really get refills on water and she wasn't as attentive.

Absolutely delicious!!! Service was awesome and the food was fantastic. Best dirty martini I've had in a long time!

    Jumbo- Smokey and delicious

Food was delicious! I got a Pinot noir to go with my crawfish étouffée, and my partner got the strawberry beer, cornbread, and gumbo. That was my first time having a etouffee. I did not realize it was more of a soup, and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely delicious. I ate it all. The gumbo was nice and smoky with a little bit of kick. Definitely recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cecelia is located in downtown Baton Rouge and it is the perfect restaurant for an intimate date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My date and I did not make reservations but there was sitting available at the bar. The bartender was very nice and sweet and she made an excellent cocktail. I was not as impressed with my entree as the chicken lacked flavor. It was supposed to be jerk flavored but it was more so a fried chicken breast. I will say the red beans and rice were delicious. Overall this restaurant is worth a try.

I've been wanting to try Cecelia Creole Bistro for a long time! Let's just say......it was well worth the wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a great place for a day date or even a get-together with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't have to wait to be seated for early lunch. Everything we ate came out quick and tasted delicious!

Had a fantastic experience at Cecelia Creole Bistro. Tried the fried alligator bites and the étouffée, and both were excellent. Great introduction to Creole flavors - everything was well-seasoned and really satisfying. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere inside is also really cool - stylish, comfortable, and full of character. It has that perfect blend of modern and classic Louisiana charm that makes you want to stay a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, great food, great service, and a great vibe. Would definitely come back.

Holy cow! This place is so good! Saw by the reviews this place gets packed so we went a little early and got right in. The staff is very attentive and the hostess didn't just stand behind the desk. You can tell that everyone cares about this place. We got the cornbread. It was so good - could be in the dessert menu. The fried green tomatoes on a crostini with pimento cheese, topped with bacon jam. Y'all this was my favorite bite tonight! So so good! As I'm not a huge pimento cheese fan. - this was fresh and delicious! I had the shrimp and grits as my entree and my husband had the pork chop with Brussel sprouts and polenta. I like savory shrimp and grits - these were bbq. Still good though. Husband loved the pork chops. Would 100% come again!!!

She came across as short, unfriendly, and overall not very pleasant. I first ordered a Banana Foster's Martini, but she came back and said they didn't have the ingredients. No problem--I asked for an Espresso Martini instead. A few minutes later, after bringing everyone else's drinks, she returned and simply said they couldn't make that either and asked if I wanted something else. At that point, I just declined. When it was time to order, our table had nine people. She took my husband's order, then went around the table taking everyone else's order. By the time she got back to me, she said, "Okay, is that it?" I had to remind her that she hadn't taken my order yet. I ordered the crab and corn bisque, a salad, and the stuffed catfish with creamed spinach. The salad came out quickly and was very good. Then everyone else at the table received their meals while I only received my bisque. After waiting, I was told my stuffed catfish "didn't come out right" and had to be remade. At that point, I honestly wondered if it was a joke. It wasn't. By the time my entrée arrived, everyone else was nearly finished eating. To the restaurant's credit, they did remove the stuffed catfish from my bill, and I appreciated that. However, the entire experience left me feeling overlooked from start to finish. My biggest suggestion would be for our waitress to work on her customer service. A smile goes a long way. Saying things like "Give me that plate," slamming cups onto the table, and appearing annoyed throughout the meal doesn't create a welcoming dining experience. Hospitality is just as important as the food, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

Ooffff... it's fine. We're laid back and can roll with the punches-they're busy and staff was friendly-it'll all be worth it when the food rocks our socks. Sadly...no. Both grilled cheeses (entrees) were room temp and the cheese was already hardening. It felt as if they had forgotten to deliver the food. Waitress was so kind and took the one off our check. It was appreciated. Boudin balls were great!! Bedford and remoulade sauces were okay. Parmesan potatoes were good!! Brussel sprouts and fries were fine-would have been better if served hot, I think. We did the pie flight and they were all good. Not mind blowing, but good. I always give out second chances-public service and food service is tough and sometimes you just have off days. Worth checking out if you live in town!! But if you're just passing through, maybe just get some pie to go.

While BBQ is the main emphasis here, there are a number of other things on the menu. One of these that's really popular is the seafood stuffed potatoes. These are gigantic baked potatoes that come with shrimp or catfish, with our without crawfish étouffée. Seafood is a definite option here, and one can have it on Friday or any other day. But let's discuss the BBQ. They have smoked turkey that's never dry, and this is great in a sandwich or plate. The smoked wings are another favorite of mine. Then there is the smoked meatloaf, which is great in po-boy form. The ribs and brisket are also very worthy options. I think a two meat plate is a good way to enjoy the BBQ as it allows variety in tasting! Then one has to be pleased by the wide selection of sides. Variety is always great, especially when it includes uncommonly great options like fried green beans, red beans and rice, and Cajun Dirty Rice.
