    Pretzel

I adore this little bakery in my neighborhood. I'll be honest, I haven't tried much from their selection, but the breads I have had tried, are so good that they've quickly become my favorite snack spot. I love their pretzels. They have a buttery salt glaze of sorts all over the pretzel, that gives a nice flavorful bite without being so overwhelmingly salty. I also like their cheese bread, especially taking it home and warming it up *chef's kiss*. It's in a funky little strip mall so it's kinda of easy to miss, but once you get in there, you'll be buying the store up. The breads are really affordable too, I think my pretzel was around 2 dollars, maybe less (I got two pretzels, a cheese bread, and my partner got a salami roll, all for less than 9 bucks).

Great Husband and Wife team European owned Bakery. The bread has no sugar, which is good for me! The sliced bread is great the cheese filled danish(sorry, not much of a picture of that)I also bought ciabatta buns for sandwiches. Everything was fresh baked. I also bought an Apple juice. The Lady Owner was very accommodating and nice. I told her what I was looking for and she was spot on! She helped me a lot. I understand they used to be located somewhere on University Blvd. I am so glad I found this place on my way to another business.

Recently discovered this hidden gem. They make fresh baked burak. Call and place your order about 15-20 ahead and when you arrive they'll have your soft and hot burak ready to go, ours never make it home unfortunately, it's eaten immediately in the car. I've only had the beef filling but I think there's also a cheese option.

Just a real small little shop on the corner right next to the coin laundry. I might add this coin laundry has the best drop off and pick up any place I have found around. Back to the little tiny bakery shop. The have on table and two chairs.lol any way you can order meat pies takes about fifteen minutes to cook up. Mostly it's order breads and bakery goods. Really nice lady takes care of the customers but seems to like spending little time wit t h e customers. Maddy likes to go in and gab with her about her daughters and their schooling. They are interested in law school trading so Maddy has given them some publications concerning that area.

The next morning, we had the sausage and scallion bun at home. I liked it, maybe more than the pork bun, and would get it again, though it had the advantage of being reheated at home in the microwave. My wife liked the dough, the hot dog less so (and I must admit the hot dog in the croissant we had a while ago at Cruffin & Tea was better). I'd get this again, though probably trying the regular hot dog bun instead of the scallion one next time. I'd asked the server if she could reheat our items when I bought them, but she said no, and didn't seem to understand English well. So far, I've preferred the savory things to the sweets here. Each item was $3-3.25, so a better value than the other bakeries I go to. I will return to this place periodically, but I still prefer places like Cruffin & Tea and Le Petit Paris, so I'm giving Mai Xiang Garden Bakery an average rating, 3 stars: pretty good, but not above average for a bakery, other than the good value.

From the moment we laid eyes on the pastry case, our jaws were on the floor. Everything we had was amazing -- the breakfast sandwich on sourdough, ham & cheese croissant, matcha cheesecake blueberry croissant tart, and the brie country ham & hot honey galette. JUST WOW! We also got some lattes to fuel our morning and I opted for their special brown butter sesame latte -- yum! The bakery itself is very cute with some market and pantry items available to shop as well. The staff was very patient as we asked a million questions about all the pastries before making our selections. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the downtown Jax area!

A cute little spot with a lot of specialized baked goods that will make you want to get one of everything. The service was super friendly and helpful. We ended up getting a few of the baked goods to share for breakfast and I got the matcha lemonade. The lemonade was a good change of pace from my usual matcha latte. To share, we got the matcha cheesecake blueberries danish, the brie country ham and hot honey galette, and a ham and cheese croissant. Everything was delicious and devoured! The inside is also super cute to peruse around and maybe grab something. They have stickers, and a few odds and ends that might interest anyone to get at least one thing. Such a cute bakehouse in Jax!

I was welcomed into the store as soon as I entered. The young man asked if it was my first time at the bakery. Then he took his time to give me a tour of the sweet and savory bakery items that they have on display and taught me how to select items by choosing a basket and a set of tongs for my choices. I purchased a banana muffin, which was almost as big as my fist and still could only eat half of it in a sitting. I also ordered the turkey sandwich on a ciabatta roll, which was just the perfect combination of meat, greens, avocado, and cheese in a beautifully baked roll. Have you ever had a sandwich whose flavors build with every bite? This is truly a unique bakery in Jacksonville, and we should do all that we can to support it. Tell your friends! You won't be disappointed.

Calamari was prepared well and not too chewy. We shockingly each chose a salad: the bistro steak, the chop chop Asian, the goat cheese, and the salmon. Each one was incredible. Mine was the chop chop and I absolutely loved it! It was HUGE and you can bet I ate every single bite. Loved it!' We finished with the brownie topped with ice cream for the birthday girl, it was extremely tasty! Thanks again to Evan for making our night! He was a fantastic waiter!
