During my trip to Salem this was one of the coffee shops in the area that wasn't swarming with witchy tourist, which was a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a pick me up at the halfway point of our tour through the city and I finally decided to be brave and try out the polar seltzer ades (lemonade seltzers - non alcoholic). The strawberry flavor I had was surprisingly good, so now I finally have a seltzer that I like! My friend in the spirit of it being fall got her PSL, which she really enjoyed. The Brew Box team was super quick with churning out her drink order along with some of the other people that had ordered ahead of us. I also really loved the beautiful mural on the wall when you walk in! If you're in Salem definitely skip the more hokey and themed cafes and stop in at the Brew Box!

Super small local coffee shop. They make their own pastries and the coffee drinks are great! Staff worked quickly to keep the line down, but with great food there will always be a line.

Loved my iced latte for a mid day pick me up! The staff is friendly and service was quick! It's also super conveniently located if you're strolling through Salem's' sights!

I got the Iced Matcha Latte w/ cherry syrup & oat milk. The staff allowed me to try to orange blossom syrup since lavender was out. And we settled with cherry with my iced matcha latte. Staff and owner were quite friendly and owner even recommended the matcha powder they use so I can make my own back in California :) The matcha latte was creamy and sweet just to my liking.

Grab & go coffee, lattes & food. My kids loved the BLT & grilled cheese with avocado. Hubby fell in love with the egg, bacon biscuit with hot sauce (you can order w/o hot sauce). Thank you ladies for your kindness & warm smiles on this overcast morning!

Brew Box was the only food spot we went to in Salem that did not come with a huge line out the door. Dropped by at 7am for breakfast and ordered an egg & cheese biscuit with an iced matcha latte to go. Biscuit was dry/rough, egg was just not good. Maybe should've went with the avocado toast? The iced matcha was not bad. Service was efficient.

A devent coffee spot in Salem. Inside aesthetic was decent and staff were friendly. Coffee did seem a bit pricey, but the ingredients in the brews were fresh, tasty, and not your average store bought syrups and add ins. They have a nice selection of baked goods as well. I would recommend this place as an alternative to the massively overhyped coffee places nearby.

Great customer service, I had the biscuit sausage sandwich; was definitely worth the money and fulfilling. There is not seating inside, it's a grab and go kind of place, but still worth checking out!

Went during the busy time and even though they were slam packed they got drinks and food out fairly fast. Definitely have to try their specialty drinks they are worth it. I also ordered the breakfast burrito, it was easy to walk and eat with. If you're in Salem definitely go here for a coffee.

Cool coffee shop, but the coffee wasn't great tasting. It was just okay. A bit disappointing, but they were quick and easy to order from and nice. I liked the art around the shop. I probably would try it again.

Brew Box is filled with genuinely nice people. it's a hole-in-the-wall in the best sense, only because it's a physically small space meant to be for grab-and-go, as the inside doesn't contain seating. It's walkable in downtown Salem, meaning if you're hitting nearby shops, it's quite easy to include this charming coffee shop on your route. This small but mighty menu has both coffee and tea options, which this tea gal deeply appreciated. They also offer a small breakfast menu of sandwiches. The inside is super photogenic and filled with cool, hand-drawn artwork on the walls, which of course makes you immediately happy. Its extremely photogenic and filled with good vibes. It's an easy spot to love. The line was out the door on a pleasant fall day but the staff kept it moving cheerfully. Downtown Salem is not for the faint of heart but the staff always had a smile on their face while dealing with some difficult tourists. The coffee here is delicious and their sign stating "drink better coffee" should be taken literally. Brew Box is an easy win on your walking tour of Downtown Salem.

There are so many coffee shop options in Salem, and this was a great one. The Americano had really good flavor. A lot of fun other drinks on their menu (cereal milk latte! So creative). Even their breakfast burrito is unique and 100% made to order (had tzatziki and chicken sausage). It is a small little shop, so not really a place you can hang out, but it is a good stop. They serve Tandem Roasters (out of Portland).

Some bullshit frozen garbage either drowned in cheap truffle oil, or "dusted" with truffle salt. Well, they don't do that crap here, however they do garlic fries. Hand cut, with whole cloves of roasted garlic all over. Not one or two cloves, like several heads worth of glorious, slow-roasted garlic. I managed to scrounge a couple spoonfuls of the kids mac&cheese from my son, almost lost a finger in the attempt and I found out why. They put just as much effort into the kids food as the adults. I only gave 4 stars due to the lousy, noisy, raunchy bar flies. They couldn't care less about other customers as they were shouting and cussing away. Having a conversation with my husband was impossible. The bartender, who was 5 stars in her service to us, attempted to remind these people to stop yelling. I understand being a local, as I am one, and it makes me want to keep my favorite places in business. However, disruptive and rude bar flies should be shut out ff earlier and asked to leave or at the very least pipe down. Ultimately, I highly recommend anyone local or out of town to try The Tin Whistle for the food and service. Maybe try one of the tall comfy wooden booths would make for a better atmosphere.

(They clearly saw me there; we made eye contact and the one guy wasn't even doing anything.) After about 10 to 15 minutes of waiting with no service, we were about to leave when a server finally came to our table. Since they were obviously busy and weren't keeping up with the crowd that night, we tried to order two drinks each so they could save a little of their time and we could relax without worrying about if a server was going to take our order again before the end of the week. The server very sharply said that he was NOT going to give us two drinks at a time, CERTAINLY not with drinks of this high alcohol content. We ordered one drink each, cashed out and bounced. The cocktail I got was fine; I could make a slightly worse version at home at a fraction of the price (or even two at once!). We we were told later by a friendlier Salemite at a bar with a better vibe that there is a Massachusetts state law that prohibits having two drinks at once at a bar. Fair enough. Had our server told us that, unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to give us two drinks at once -- instead of making us feel like idiots/degenerates for daring to ask -- we probably would have dropped a lot of vacation money there that night.
