We had considered having an area rug cleaned (at a cost of about $1/sf), but when we decided against it, there was no pressure. We booked one of the "deals" we saw online: 3 rooms (up to 200 sf each), plus 100 sf of tile cleaning for $129. We only had 2 rooms of carpet (both bedrooms) to be cleaned, so the price was dropped to $119. My biggest issue was that an additional $20 trip fee wasn't disclosed until I was about to sign up. So, with that and the tax, I paid about $150 total. I almost backed out on principle, as I felt that added $20 was deceptive. We prepped well for the visit as advised, clearing the floor of loose items, tying the drapes up, and vacuuming well... so the work took all of about 30 minutes given no furniture needed to be moved. We only had one small spot that needed treatment prior to cleaning, and this stain is totally gone. In the end, our carpet appeared to be cleaned well and the fibers did not feel sticky afterwards. Dry time was expected to take 4-6 hours but took longer than that, as it was rainy and cool the day of cleaning. The tile that was cleaned was marginally improved.

Richard recommended a scent remedy for the office carpet and in a short time was set up with all his carpet cleaning products and gear getting stains out and surprisingly done before I expected. He did a great job of getting the hallway stain out and our office carpet was finally rid of the chemical scent. Our carpet dried pretty quickly which was a plus and has stayed looking and smelling clean since the visit . Richard charged us very reasonable prices and I will be using him again in the future . So we then opted to have them come once a month. Now granted, we have a 2500 sq foot house, BUT since we both work from home, they really only needed to clean two bedrooms (of which one is rarely used) and two bathrooms. We do have a living room, breakfast area, kitchen, and dining area as well. So not quite a full house but a good amount. The first cleaning there was some things that were missed (they have a checklist, so not sure how they could have missed anything). For example dusting on the furniture. Not a big deal and I get that cleaning takes a while and something could be missed like that, so we reported it and moved on. I want to say the next two cleaning went ok, but the last one they completely missed cleaning one of the toilet bowls. Now there could have been some miscommunication on our part as we had one toilet completely replaced the week before and that one did not need to be cleaned at all. Not sure why they thought both would not need to be cleaned, but we reported that as well. That's when things went downhill fast. My wife is a lot nicer than I am (I did not talk to them), but she was given a story that because of hard water buildup, they would need to come back out with special chemicals to clean it. Mind you the previous 3-4 times and the deep cleaning did NOT require any special chemicals and in fact my wife sent a before and after photo of after she took some time to clean the toilet without the need of "special chemicals". At that point, the owner and my wife had a call and it was agreed that we would just part at that point. Which is fine, but the reason we got was the person that would be doing the cleaning no longer felt "comfortable" coming to our house. What is more the case is she got caught lying and the owner instead of apologizing about it, just doubled down. If it was me, get the deep clean as they did do a good job on that, but I would NOT recommend getting the regular service.
