My parents had used petty tile for a previous job when Mr. Petty ran the business and had a great experience. This time around was not the same. When the daughter came out to measure there was discrepancy in the original measurement and the job done causing there to be an excess in $250 a box pecan flooring. Instead of taking responsibility and refunding them for what the flooring was worth they offered them $50 per box. We understand that petty tile does not hold stock and there is a restock fees associated. We believe that the measurements taken were incorrect due to an alcove in one of the bedrooms measuring out to about how much extra flooring was ordered(50 square feet, two boxes). We should not be financially responsible for an error made by the daughter who came out and measured the rooms prior to ordering materials and installation. Our family have been loyal return customers and going forward we would advise to go anywhere but Petty Tile for flooring needs. read more

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Sunni. I'd looked at many other places before a friend told me to visit Petty Family Floors. PFF is a treasure trove of the prettiest choices in flooring! Sunni, the owner, is very knowledgeable, as one would expect, given that this business has been in the family for a few generations. She's not pushy which is important when one is considering a big job. She gave me space to browse and let me take home a floor sample that was large enough for me to get a good sense of how it would look. When I made up my mind, she was efficient! We hired Petty Tile to update the flooring in our kitchen. Not too long after installation we noticed issues with hollow spots under the tile and crumbly grout. We contacted Petty and they came out to replace a couple of the boards. However, the tile is still not level and the grout is crumbling again. The floor underneath was clearly not floated or leveled properly to support this type of tile. I will not be doing business with Petty again. Further, I will find a more experienced craftsman to fix my floors. read more

I went to Petty Tile after checking other major retailers that did not specialize in tile, therefor didn't have what I needed. I had a small project of replacing about 30 tiles in various areas of a home. The home was 30 years old, so finding the exact tile was not likely. I had spoke with Sunni and she was able to pull a near exact color match of the tile I was in need of. The other obstacle I had was finding that color pattern in 13x13. Sunni allocated some samples and we compared color and sizes (as not all tiles are created equal). We were able to get the tiles needed, huge thanks to Sunni for being such a huge help in allocating the proper color/size that we were needing. Highly recommend. UPDATE: So we had the tiles installed by someone else, but I have to say... The tile matching of colors is flawless. We are very happy that Sunni went the extra mile to match the tiles so closely. We recently used Petty Tile & Carpet to update the tile in our guest bathroom. Getting an estimate was easily done over email with the owner Sunni, and their showroom had a TON of tile options. Narrowing it down was probably the hardest part, but I was able to check out samples to take home and see how they looked in our space. The tile we went with was backordered (covid supply chain issues) but once it arrived, Sunni's team scheduled the install ASAP. The install team completed the job in just 2 days, in time before we had guests coming in town for the weekend. The install team were courteous, wore masks while interacting with me, and answered my many questions. :-) The tile turned out awesome and looks great! The previous owner of the home I recently purchased in Sun City had inexpensive laminate installed in entryway, office, halls, dining room, breakfast room and great room. At inspection, the floors were buckling. Petty "fixed" it and placed blue painters tape to hold it down. After moving in, I notified Petty that the floors were still not glued down and the trim was loose where the laminate met tile, I was told to buy liquid nails or gorilla glue and glue it myself. I tried both of these and the floors are still loose and buckling. I may have to replace some if not all of this flooring. It will not be with Petty Tile. I've walked into their store three times now. My parents have used them and said they have always used Petty Tile. So I though I would too. I keep trying to want to spend my money there but every time I go in I have been so not impressed with their customer service. This last time was it for me. I walk in and the man came up to me and said nothing. I asked how is day was going and he said eh ok I guess. I get we all have bad days but come on, this is a business. I the proceeded to tell him what I was looking for and I asked if they had anything like that. He said I would have to go look. Um where? There is so much there I I told him this was my first time buying flooring.
