Brewery City Pizza stood like a place that had seen some fights. The staff didn't serve you so much as remind you that in life, no one's coming. They looked you in the eye when you walked in, gave you a receipt after you ordered, and left you to find your way. You got your own plates. You got your own water. You got your own napkins if you were fool enough to need them. The table was there. Bare. No frills, just an austere industrial presence filled with scratches and the faintest hint of the last guy who leaned on it too hard. The pizza came hot. The pepperoni was a greasy, red reminder of all things hard and unclean. It bled into the crust--soaked it through until it was more sponge than bread. Pools of orange oil gathered in the low places like rain in shell craters. You had to tip the slice to keep it from dripping onto your shirt, but it dripped anyway. It wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It was honest. It didn't pretend to be elegant. It just was. Like a fight you don't win but come out of knowing something more about your own endurance. You left full. Not satisfied. Just full. And in some dumb, primal way, you respected the place for not pretending it owed you more. read more

Really declined. Since they have gone to using door dash for theor deliveries they are nonresponsive to customers. They used to answer phones, but no more. Came in about 10 till 6pm drinks came fast we ordered an appetizer it came pretty late we order a pizza for my grandson off the kids menu reasonable priced, and 2 medium pizzas I got the Margarita *wanted the thin crust but was told they may be out? and my husband order the Brewmaster with cauliflower crust. The Westside location went from a local, full service, good times, family style pizzeria, to a get-it-yourself, menu-over-the-cash register kind of joint. I don't know who decided to make that change, but it is lackluster, low effort and totally lazy. Most of the changes are obviously a cost-cutting measure, and it shows. Both the food and the service have gone downhill. It's a shame too, because I LOVED coming here when they had nice servers, a good vibe, solid food and reasonable prices. The last pizza I had here - The Meathead - was undercooked and not ready for 15 minutes after the pickup time. Ugh. I've been going here for a number of years. I usually order the antipasta salad to go. I got to my car and saw through the plastic container that there wasn't hardly any salami and cheese in it. I took it back inside and asked them to put more meat and cheese in it, and they put a little on top. When I got home and opened it, it was clear that they just put a couple of pieces on top to make it look better. I called to complain to the management that I just paid $18 with tip for a box of lettuce, and the manager offered to take off 35%, which meant that the box of lettuce only cost me about $12. He suggested that I ask the server for ample cheese and meat on the salad the next time I order a salad. I tried that when I took it back, and they still couldn't get it right. I rarely leave crappy reviews, but this one really deserved it. Make sure you tell them how to prepare the food when you go in there otherwise you will get far less than what you pay for. read more

I called tonight and an obviously new person took my order. I was patient even though I had to repeat my phone number and order multiple times. To my surprise they were "out of large pizzas" and I was forced to purchase the next size up. When I asked them to throw in some root beer, in light of the fact they couldn't provide us with our desired size and it would cost us more, I was transferred to a manager. This manager was incredibly rude and told me to lower my voice. I informed him that it was only raised because the first person had struggled to understand me. He then asked me my order two more times, and then in a very irritated voice said "what special" even though I had repeatedly said the extra large brewery city special. Which is exactly what it is called on their menu. At this point I lost my patience and all faith they could fulfill my order with any accuracy and hung up. I enjoyed the pizzas very much and mom especially likes their house salad so I tried that as well. Simply can't say enough about them. I have never physically visited the location, it has always been delivery, and very large orders, for groups of 20 to 70 people. They have nailed it every time, and make me look like a hero. They are incredible on the phone, every person I have ever spoke with. They deliver as promised, the amount of food that they say it will feed is way more. This is one time, you can say, oh, maybe only half of that. It is crazy. Their delivery personnel are spot on, courteous, professional, and concerned about your experience. Excellent beer and food! We had the Rosemary fries, which are baked with herbs and a touch of garlic. A side salad with sufficient olives! And then a Giant Brewmaster, featuring fresh mushrooms! We chose the traditional crust, which we are happy about because it isn't heavy and thin crust would have been too thin. The Canadian bacon had a wonderful crisp to it! Totally get the larger size beer, they have so many to pick from on tap! Brooklyn was a thoughtful and engaging server, who provided suggestions that were spot on! Oooooof....I don't know where to start...my first experience at the west side location was delivery while they were undergoing their remodel. Pizza was excellent and wings were huge and delicious. But this week, decided to try them in person for lunch. I ordered the pizza+salad lunch special, salad was everything I wanted (fresh romaine, cherry toms, black olives, red onion, grated parm, with epic seemed-like-probably-homemade blue cheese dressing) and my 8" pizza (pep/saus/mush, on the Asiago garlic cream sauce) was divine. My dining partner, on the other hand, did not want to limit her calzone toppings, and requested the garlic chicken calzone with onions added.... We knew the cost, but the server explained it was a huge dish, and I explained that taking my mom out to lunch is basically how I feed my husband so not worried if there was plenty to take home. The salad arrives; my mom happily enjoys the onion parts of it while I get the rest. Then our pies arrive; mine, a normal looking 'individual' sized pizza, and hers; basically a large, fully loaded, pizza, folded in half. Crust is amazing, ingredients are quality, service was fantastic and we fed basically 8 meals for $40, with a decent tip (I hope, I think our bill was $32 and I added $10). We recently moved into Olympia and have been making a concerted effort to find locally owned eateries to support. We always ask locals where they go and had noticed BCP came up quite often as an answer. I know that pizza is one of those dishes that people have a huge range of preferences for but for us, this is a perfect pizza. I love their red sauce. Flavorful, yet not too sweet or acidic. The crust is crunchy on the bottom and still chewy. In other places I usually take a few bites of pizza crust home to my dog but not here; it's just too good to share. They aren't stingy with the toppings either; the biggest problem you'll have is keeping all of them on top of your slice while you are devouring it. My black olives are always trying to escape!! I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars cuz their wings were bland and undercooked the one time we ordered them. In addition there is a very young staff there and we have gone before for dine in and have not been able to have a beer with our pizza cuz there was noone in store old enough to sell or serve it to us. read more

Great food! Their pizza is delicious, salads tastey and pasta dishes fantastic. The chicken carbonara is my favorite. I have been to the Lacey location and here and service is always friendly and food received in a timely manner at both locations. I like the decor also. It appears to have been updated recently and the restaurant is very clean. The booths are really comfortable and its just a nice place to have a meal! Need better TVs though! We call it Brew City Pizza... because Brewery is such an interesting word to say if you really think about it. I promise, I'm not insane. Say it a couple times and get in touch with me and tell me it's not weird... I'll wait. This location was the first time I had a calzone and I'm hooked. I've been trying other pizza spots around the city that offer calzone's and seriously, no one compares. The crust is out of this world. I just need to remember, no olives. We are new to the area and want to find our "go to" pizza place. This place is the definition of gave up. Let's start with the service, our waiter, a gentlemen fairly tall, facial hair, a little heavy set acted like he didn't want to be there. He was more cordial when he brought the check but it felt like he was forcing himself to help us. We did not feel welcome and treated like they wanted us there. They didn't have a beer menu and he had no patience for me asking about the beers. The two younger employees were helpful and attentive, I don't want them thrown under the bus. That was the service, now the food. The fried pickles batter tasted like something you made at home the first time you tried to make fried pickles. It was not up to par for something that cost $9 and not something I would spend my hard earned money on again. My wife did like the house salad but thought it should have croutons on it. The pizza was blah, we ordered the Brewery city special. I want this to be constructive, I want to go back and enjoy this place but I feel like I would rather have walked next door to Pizza Hut for pizza. The pizza was incredible bland, the ingredients could not stand on their own, sauce, dough, cheese, the base was bland, the only thing that lent flavor was the toppings. There is no flavor, the sauce, the curst has some season but the rest of the pie was so bland, no seasoning on top. There is potential there but the chef and owner needs to blind taste test this with good pizza place and reflect on the seasoning and th flavors that are missing. A place like this needs to be better than a mass market chain pizza place, it wasn't. Ok, one last thing. Let me touch on the name and the beer. This is not a brewery, if it is they don't server their own beer or promote it. When I asked for a beer menu, they don't have one. The impatient water started sounding off names of beers but if you have not memorized every beer ever brewed he might as well be speaking another language. Get a beer menu, right a description, care a little about your customers experience. That is this place in a nutshell, the customer experience is not the focus. They put out a product with no love, no care, they give service as if against their will, the customer experience is not a top priority and if we are going to spend our hard earned money at your place it needs to be worth it. Guys, step back and take a look. Sit down and try the food, ask what beers are on tap, ask for a beer menu. Do a blind taste test with high rated places. There is hope, but someone needs to care. Get a leader working that strives for customer service and puts the customer first. You can get there but it requires an effort. read more

I specially made a point to mention I am allergic to pineapple!!!! Repeated myself twice before I finished my order over the phone. When I pickup up the pizzas I even said jokingly... since it was the same female who took my order over the phone that there was absolutely NO PINEAPPLE on either of my pizzas I'm not trying to spend my evening at the hospital!! I pay for my pizzas and start driving to my dads in Tacoma. I finally get settled and ready to eat some pizza I've been craving all day! I open up the pizza box and what do you know instead of tomatoes on my pizza there are f$;&ing pineapple pieces!!! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME RIGHT?!!! So I give BCP a call and ask for a manager to speak with about this unbelievable mistake that was made on my now completely ruined dinner! I get told that the manager on shift is unavailable but the employee on the phone promised to rely the situation to the manager when they become available and took my number down to get a call back... I was told that they would remake my pizza if I would like and I could come get a new one. Well I'm not in Olympia anymore at that time so I asked if I could just get my pizza replaced next time I order. Here's where the employee should have left the promises to render the situation in the hands of the manager, I was instead told that she would put a note on my account about that pizza and I could get a replacement when I order next time. WHEN I CALLED TO GET MY REPLACEMENT PIZZA THE NEXT WEEK I AM INFORMED MY A VERY RUDE MANAGER ON SHIFT "JERRY I THINK HIS NAME WAS" WHEN HE MENTIONED HIS NAME AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PHONE CALL I DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING TO HAVE THE HEADACHE THIS ENTIRE SITUATION TURNED INTO, I WAS ASSUMING I WOULDN'T NEED TO REMEMBER THIS MANAGERS NAME SINCE IT SHOULDN'T BE ANYTHING MORE THEN A SIMPLE PIZZA REPLACEMENT!! This location is mildly better than the one in tumwater but all locations seem to be run very poorly by a GM named Roland who has no idea how to manage anything and is possibly the most immature "adult" I have ever spoken too. I was told by this so called gm named Roland when my order was delivered smashed and inedible (again) that I should have learned sooner to order from somewhere else. If there is any chance of this business continuing the owner may want to consider cleaning house and getting competent staff. #1 complaint: It was FREEZING in there!!! All the customers had their jackets on. The wait staff gave the impression of disinterest when our order was taken. The food took way too long to arrive. The spaghetti with meat sauce was watery & tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes. I would have sent it back but I didn't want another long wait. My daughter was really happy with her Pasta Carbonera. Sadly "west" Olympia rolls up its' sidewalks around 5PM on Sundays... Drove down to drop off Vegge-student at her place with G-parents in tow, they were hungry as was I. Quickly looking around this place was about it, being open past the 6PM bewitching hour.... Seems like a mini-chain from the website, sadly the website looks a lot better than in person....le sigh... The entire place had a "formerly known as Denny's" feel to it, even with the two big-ish screen tv's hanging from the walls, it just screamed DENNY'S!! BCP is the only sign you'll see from the road, I wasn't even sure if the place was open except for a small-ish "open" sign hanging from the window, ala Costco.... Menu seemed decent we opted for the "thin" crust pizza, a couple of dinner salads and a cup of soup. Salad and soup were just okay, it did seem to take a while for our pizza to show up. Once it did, I was impressed at the number of toppings on our MEAT lovers selection. The bad part was, there were too many toppings for the "thin" cracker style crust to handle. The meat was okay tasting but things were rather greasy which made the crust sag a bit. Okay, sag a lot.... Nothing like the other "local" one shop pizza joints up the street, next time we'll either drive faster to Olympia to drop the oldest off or head out sooner so we can pass up this place... read more
