Walking in the area is open and still in need of work but you can see they are working towards that currently. We reviewed the menu and learned that this was a Meadery at heart. We didn't know this previously but think it is great because there not many of them, let alone in Kalamazoo. We scanned through the tap list and picked out 4 to try and sat down. The owner was sitting at another table with someone that sounded like somewhat of an interview. After a little while he got up and came over to our table and asked if he could sit down with us and show us the vision for the brewery. We welcomed him to join us, we really love talking with beertenders and owners when they have passion in what they do. He had a book with photos of his vision which is going to be Viking based (the name makes that obvious) with some Thor inspiration. You could hear his passion and love for the brewery and what he does when talking about the things to come which made it that much better. Everything looked super cool and I can't wait to see it once completed. The owner shared his past history prior to the brewery which was in films and music, Ben couldn't have related more to this man if he tried. LOL. Finally we made it there and loved it. Ben and I both asked each other how it took us that long to make it happen. During this visit to Michigan, I was with just my Dad and he wanted to visit his bestie that lived close by so I drove him over there and I left to go get some sours while they talked and caught up on their own.
