The negative review below about pricing just shows that some do not understand that quality comes with a ticket. Visited this truck on the Fourth Of July in Downtown LA at Grand Park. We walked and viewed the menu on every truck at the festival but resorted back here because of the menu and great vibes. I got the Chicken and Tots - boneless chicken bites and tater tots served with their signature buffalo sauce. The fish and chips styled batter on those boneless chicken bites were phenomenal. The buffalo sauce modified the texture of the chicken coating once dipped in it but it worked so well! That partially soggy bite with the extra crunch was the best ever lol. Genius, honestly. This is something that you'll crave afterwards and you'll only have the ability to find it here! Promise you, it's worth whatever wait you'll encounter. Great work Brewings! You've earned yourself a fan!

Beer-battered Tenders with house made Buffalo sauce!! Got tots as well. All delicious. Paired well with an IPA from Angry Horse Brewery.

Breading on the tenders was fantastic! Good truck to get food from at a bar or for a party. Great tots and house made sauce! Looking forward to seeing these guys on the road. Would love to try their bone-in wings in the future. Tenders are short but delicious and you don't feel super heavy after. Happy to try a "beer" chicken place paired with an actual beer. Discovered them at in the parking lot at Angry Horse Brewery!

YUM! Fried to perfection, their chicken wings and tots. Their waffles are crispy and I'm not sure what they put in the batter, but it's frigging delicious. The waffles come three ways - with sugar and syrup, syrup and caramel, and syrup with chocolate. All are delicious and works with the chicken - especially if you love the sweet/savory combo for chicken and waffles. They usually make a stop at my work, and is there during lunch times! Woot! One star knock down for the time waiting and $$. I had overheard a few coworkers waiting upwards of 30 minutes after ordering. Their prices are a bit high for what they're offering - 6 wings and tots was about $12. Waffles for 4 small pieces is $5.

Where is the cheese? It's hot outside and the sandwich was cold - greasy and super oily.

At the great park today. We were the ONLY ones in line. Had to wait to be acknowledged to give our order. 10-12 minute wait time. Fine. We WERE the ONLY ONES IN LINE,.. We were WAITING at the truck,.. He gave our order to someone else who didn't want to take our order while we were standing there. That was frustrating REALLY REALLY poor service and skill. There is now about 20 people waiting in line and we have to start our order again because these people are fucking morons- never mind that they gave away free food to someone- Damn it! It's going on over 30 minutes now. Gawdamnit. Ok. The bread wasn't bed. But butter is not orange. It's not this color - ever. Everything was oil saturated. It poured out of the chicken and liquified the crust on the bottom. We needed to drain it to eat it. The tots were oily as well. You GAVE OUR ORDER TO SOMEONE ELSE. I LOVE seasoned food. I do. We eat thai food often. Travel and eat spicy food. We eat grilled cheese sandwiches,.. have had hot cooked food and have experienced the gauntlet of food. This experience was what we call a bad one. Trying to tell me that "it's butter" is insulting. I cook with butter. I use ghee,.. we use Normandy butter if we get lucky. Orange/red oil is not butter. I cook with all sorts of meat and sausages. I know that paprika makes for red oil from sausages,. Chili powder,.. which is why we always drain them before serving. Chorizo makes red oil and grease - I do not pretend it's butter. Trying to do a backhanded insult to a customer that you ALREADY screwed - is unnecessary. You know what,.. an "OOOPS,.. we had a bad day and are sorry things turned out badly " would have been adequate. You chose to go the complete opposite. We learned our lesson. $30 bucks for super late food that was oily and greasy taught us about your food. Your reply taught us about your service and how you treat people. Lesson learned.

False advertising! Actual order only comes with 5 wings

Tried them for first time and I did not like them! They have a picture of an order of wings outside food truck with about 10 wings, I asked girl how many wings came in an order and she said 5. I told her photo on truck shows 10...her exact words "that's an old photo!" This is false advertising! So for 5 gross tasting wings, 3 baby carrots and 2 celery stalks = $12.50!!! I got the ginger flavor wings and they had no flavor! Big rip-off!!!

I visited the Brewwings food truck at First Friday's this past week. I got the Kickin Chicken sandwich with tots and boy was it good. First of all, I'm lactose intolerant but the cheese didn't stop me from enjoying this sandwich. For some reason, I thought that this would be a fried chicken burger-type of sandwich but it isn't. It was an actual sandwich with sandwich bread and chopped up chicken instead. That being said, it didn't detract from how good the sandwich was. The chicken was moist and flavorful and it wasn't too cheesy or spicy (from the jalapeños). I would totally come again and order this same thing. The gator tots were your standard tots. Nothing special about them; I personally would say to save your money and not get the tots and something else from the menu. 9.5/10 so if you see this food truck anywhere near you definitely don't hesitate to go try it out!

There food truck came to my work location which was nice for me to be able to try there foods. They did run out of chicken tenders when it was my turn to order so I had the wings with tater tots and the grilled chicken on top of tater tots with cheese, bacon, and jalapeno. It was not spicy and the grilled chicken was packed with flavor. The chicken wings has three sauces: Asian Sauce, BBQ, or buffalo, as I chose the bbq, it was very wet and messy. Again loaded with tater tots so it was a lot. But overall not bad, There credit card machine does charge $0.50 for using a credit card. It was a bit pricey for just wings! I did not try the waffle because it looked dry but I could be wrong!

Featured food vendor menu at Alosta Brewing Company in Covina on 2/19/15
Vic C.

BrewWings was a featured vendor at Alosta Brewing Company in Covina on 2-19-15. Every day Alosta Brewing Company is open (they are only open Thursday through Sunday), they always have a featured food vendor since they only serve drinks and no food. BrewWings offered their jumbo wings, sweet potato fries and pepperoni crisps for patrons to order from. I ended up purchasing: Half Order of Jumbo Wings (6 pieces), $10 (includes tax)- Complementary carrot sticks and celery sticks, along with ranch dressing was served along side these 6 jumbo wings. These wings were just average at best. I have definitely had better at other places. I think the only thing going for this order is that these wings are bigger than your typical chicken wings. Sweet Potato Fries, $10 (includes tax)- These sweet potatoes were good but pretty standard for the most part. It cost an additional $2 for each topping, which I didn't feel like paying for. But I am sure these fries would have been better if I added some kind of topping. Service was friendly and the wait for my food wasn't too long (less than 15 minutes). With food being just average and not quite memorable, probably wouldn't order from BrewWings in the future.

Boneless chicken and waffles

I'm reviewing the catering truck. I ordered the tenders and waffles and they are pretty good. The chicken is nice and crispy almost flaky and not too thick with the batter which is great! The only thing I would say is be prepared to wait! I experienced a long wait time even though I was about the third person in line when they opened the window. I don't know if that's the experience all the time. I also felt that the price was a little more than what I would have wanted and probably would have chosen something else. However, the chicken was good though! The waffles... Are delicious! Crispy almost through and through! They don't have any special seasoning and the syrup seems to be normal syrup just the way they were cooked was very tasty!

Smaller version of the menu.

Last week at the LA Beer week festival out of the 7 food trucks there I gave this one a shot because I wasn't in the mood for over priced "gourmet" burgers or random sea food from a truck on a hot 90+ degree day. These guys had a simple enough menu and for what you got the price wasn't bad especially considering how most food truck food is over priced. I kept it simple & got a half order of chicken tenders & a Belgium waffle. The food was good, satisfied my hungry. I did assume since I got the tenders instead of regular wings that Id be getting plain chicken strip to dip in the BBQ or ranch they had available. The tenders come in buffalo sauce, no complaints really but they were drowned in buffalo sauce. For actual buffalo wings the more sauce the better but for chicken strips all that extra sauce just soaks into the breading & makes them sort of soggy after 15 minutes or so. Overall nothing life changing but if they're out somewhere you are & you have a craving for chicken you should check them out.

Me and my husbands favorite buffalo wings! So delicious whenever the truck is in Long Beach, we give them a visit and put in our order for the buffalo wings and make it a double! The workers are super friendly and they are usually near a brewery which make a great combo!

Grilled Cheese

Had the opportunity to eat at Brew Wings a few weeks ago when they were at The Bruery in Placentia. They could be great. It took almost 2 hours for them to open, which was 2 hours after the Bruery opened. When they finally opened, we ordered the grilled cheese and the loaded tots with chicken. We waited another 30 to 40 minutes for our food to be ready and the tots were done about 10 minutes before the grilled cheese. The tots were fantastic, covered in jalapenos, cheese, chicken and bacon. The tots were crispy and piping hot, not greasy. The grilled cheese was spicy and equally fantastic. The bread was perfectly browned and crunchy, while the cheese was gooey. Each bite was scrumptious. Based on the food, they knocked it out of the park and would have had 5 stars easily, but the slowness to open, the slowness in getting our food and the employees on the truck this day, just didn't seem motivated to get food out quickly, it was all slow motion. The Bruery was packed and I think they missed out on a lot of business due to the timing of opening and food delivery.

Kickin chicken tots
Jennifer Y.

I ordered the Kickin chicken tater tots when the truck was at work one day. Either this item just takes way longer to make or they don't cook items in order but 3-4 parties who ordered after me got their food first! The portion was huge!! The only thing was that it was pretty dry, especially the chicken which should've been the star. Perhaps adding a sauce to this dish would make it a lot better but it was just ok.

Tenders: $10.00

Today I had the chicken tots. It was decadently delicious. I could do without the abundance of chopped jalapeno pepper on top.

I live out of town now and just flew in last night. We decided to take a chance and see if was truly my beloved primos. The NEW LOCATION for my Lincoln Heights peeps is indeed now in Vernon. 5681 S Downey Rd Vernon, CA 90058 We got there last night and circled around a bit but closer to take a look at the truck and it's definitely not the white truck that was parked in the Heights. It's a different orange truck with electronic signs on it. But when I stood up close to analyze the menu and the condiments outside, I can tell it was the same amazing salsa that I grew up on and some familiar faces inside. Now that we know where they are, we'll be making the drive from Lincoln Heights to Vernon for the amazing tacos. My heart is whole again after these rough past few years without their amazing food. Please. I encourage all of you to come here. Tell your friends and family. They're more than worth it. PS. I tried buying a whole bottle of my favorite salsa from them but they weren't down. Too bad. I'll try again next time.

50+ food trucks in one place? A dream come true…read more They had everything you could possibly imagine: Shaved Ice. BBQ. Sliders. Ramen. Boba. Icecream sandwiches. Dim Sum. Waffles. Grilled Cheese. Sushi. Filipino, Argentine, Greek, Brazilian, Korean trucks.... just to name a few. $10 to get in for this seven hour long event, and a portion of the proceeds goes to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There was also over 40 vendors present, carnival games, live music performances, an acoustic tent, art/car displays, and an electronic gaming truck! I really liked that xylophone display.. it was really fun to play with it. There was also a Yelp tent, and I got a cool bag and necklace after signing up :) I was really afraid that it would be really crowded (last food truck festival I went to was a disaster) But it was not! Wait time was usually 5 minutes for most trucks... and up to 15-20 minutes for the popular trucks! (Grilled cheese!!) Although I wish it wasn't sprinkling in the beginning, my friends and I had a blast! We all sampled 12 trucks! (Ta Bom, Rebel Bite, Tornado Potato, Temaki, Jogasaki, Tropical Shaved Ice, Crepes Bonaparte, Flying Pig, The Boba Truck, Tango Mango, Sweetesbakeshop, and Chef Che). Yes.. yes..I know. I kinda let myself go here. My favorite: JOGASAKI! One thing that really bothered me is that none of the food trucks sold drinks because they wanted you to pay for the overpriced ones at the bar :\ $3 for water/soda? $7 for beer? No thanks. I hope they have this again next year :)

The Wait and quality of food.. Not worth it…read more Came here around 12pm to get some lunch because I was in the area craving Thai. Their menu looked appetizing and the reviews were decent so I gave it a try. Before I ordered I asked how long the wait would be and she said 15min. So I ran an errand and came back, 15 minutes have past and I'm still waiting. I waited until 25 minutes before I asked about my food. she said it was coming up next, and sorry for the wait. I understood I mean it's lunch time. You can tell they were rushed, there's only two of them and the people waiting in line to order slowly left. She didn't acknowledge people waiting in line, she had he back towards them. 40 minutes have passed now and I'm HANGRY... She kept telling me it was next and that it's backed up. I waited another 10 mins before my food came out... By this time I was over it. I took a bite of the pad see ew and it was so bland... The beef is dry and tasted like they Rushed it.... Well, that's what just happened to me. I wouldn't mind trying other things on their menu, next time. I'm hopeful. But I have to admit, I didn't love the bbq pork noodle I ordered. It came with a peanut/vinegary/liquidy sauce. The noodles tasted like nothing, and the bbq pork was good. But I guess you're supposed to pour the sauce over the whole dish, else the noodles would just be dry and flavorless. Kind of like you do on Vietnamese vermicelli dishes.I've never had Thai food that way, but I'm open-minded. The prices were a little on the high side for a food truck. I mean, why are food trucks generally expensive for fast food? It kind of contradicts the whole concept behind the "roach coach". Dontcha think? These prices were like sit-down restaurant prices for the pretty good Thai food places around town. So, not sure how the whole business model of having high prices works out for these food truckers. I also ordered the fried tofu with the sweet chili sauce. You can't go wrong on fried tofu, so nothing to write about besides it's good :). Service? They could definitely pick up some storefront personality and speed. But overall, they seemed nice.
