@TheLobosTruck is intense! Intense is the perfect word that I can think of when I think of the Lobos Truck. How else can I describe their food? This is their wachos: (http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=HUMCbF82FOeekDHA-fmMsg&userid=H4BiIX0gU-Fc2S487g7z1Q) Wachos are waffle fries turned nachos. There was so many different flavors going on with this one that it can be a bit overwhelming. There's bleu cheese, avocado, hot wing sauce and more. It's crazy mix of all kinds of flavor. I'm glad I shared this with friends because I don't know if I can handle all that intensity by myself. Haha! It's definitely best shared. There's just too much going on in these wachos to for you to not share. This is their bacon brownie with salted caramel. (http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_m2IBewQqdMbR5M0aM4MCw&userid=H4BiIX0gU-Fc2S487g7z1Q) It's a perfect sweet and savory treat! My friend actually got this one and it was one nice looking brownie. I will definitely have to try this sweet gem next time! From the taste and looks of the above food, I am definitely curious to see the other food that this truck has to offer. Interested much or shall I say intensity much ;).

I've been wanting to try The Lobos Truck for a while. Several weeks ago I stood in line for about 30 minutes anxiously awaiting the taste of wachos, only to learn (when we were close to the front of the line) that they had run out of waffle fries. So, sadly, we had to go get in another ridiculously long line. So, when I saw them parked by my office building after lunchtime with only a few customers, I went and got in line. The guy taking my order was very personable but after placing my order, he informed me that the register didn't open so they could only accept exact change or a credit card. I'd only brought down cash so I had to go back to my office to get an acceptable form of payment. When I returned, they'd already started my order so I didn't have to wait long. I got the wings with their angel sauce, which is a sweet bbq hot sauce, and the wachos with cheese and ranch. The order was presented with a little sauce on top of the wings and the wings were sitting on top of the fries. So, I had bbq wings on one side and cheesy-ranch wings on the other... The fries were difficult to eat because they were soggy and they mostly fell apart from being covered in sauce. I can't imagine how tough the other wacho combinations are to eat given the numerous toppings. The wings unfortunately didn't save the day. The order was small (4), they were very fatty, and they had almost no meat. Skip those. In theory, the wachos sounded great but in reality, they weren't that good. Topped, covered, tossed, and drenched fries are a little over done these days. But, when done well, they're deliciously unhealthy! It's tough to mess up frozen, fried food but this meal just didn't work for me. And definitely not for $11.50.

The Lobos Truck is a Los Angeles based food truck I have been scoping out for awhile. Being as they are from Los Angeles and I am rarely in the area, I didn't know how much luck I would have running into them. Luckily for me I was notified of them being in Cypress for the Tuesday Night Roach Coach Roundup at the Home Depot. We had already previously made plans to meet up with some friends for this event so the opportunity worked out and was far to good to pass up. I had gone on their website earlier in the day and already had a preconceived idea as to what I wanted to order, unfortunately when we arrived to the truck the ribs (which were part of the option I wanted) were not on the menu for the night. I opted instead to go with the Wachos & Wings combination so that I can try multiple menu items at once. Upon ordering we were told that there unfortunately would be a 45 minute wait for wings as they were not prepped. WHAT! I was shocked that something that was not prepped or ready to be served to customers was even on the menu to begin with. After several minutes I finally relented and said that I would wait... My wife went with the Chinook burger which consist of a 1/3lb. American/Kobe Beef patty with garlic aioli, cheddar, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. She seemed to really enjoy the burger although she said she honestly couldn't tell the difference with it being Kobe beef. After about a 12 minute wait my food was in the window and low and behold the wings were there as well (they said they ended up finding some, so score a point for me!). For my Wachos, I went with the cheesy ranch variety with has cheddar cheese, house-made cheese sauce and ranch and for the wings I went with the Diablo. The wings were very spicy which I liked but were a bit under cooked, a couple more minutes in the fryer and we'd be good to go. The Wachos were very good and had great flavor and the waffle fries were cooked perfectly. After getting off the a shaky start things definitely turned around and I really enjoyed the meal. The service was friendly, the pricing was decent (just a tad high) but I found the portions to be nicely done. I have already seen several other items on the menu that I really want to try so it is a matter of time before I track down the truck again for another grubfest.

So talkative and inquisitive -- very social. The Lobos Truck gets my vote for nicest food-truckers on the planet! (5.0 stars) 1. Little Lobos Burger - big, beef patty, bacon, cheddar & jack cheese, quac, fried egg, fried onions, tomato, on a super fresh brioche bun. Wonderful combined flavors -- a total winner and top 15 on my "Berger knows: Burgers" list (http://www.yelp.com/list/berger-knows-burgers-los-angeles-4). I didn't want it to end. (5.0 stars) 2. Mac & Cheese - simple and fresh, but a little sticky and lacked flavor...needed salt. (4.0 stars) With a nice selection of unhealthy options at a more than fair price point: burgers, waffle fries, and mac & cheese -- there's plenty to do some damage to your waistline. PS. Sharon, Bonnie, and Queso -- you rock!

I noticed a food truck rally across the street from work so went over to see if anything looked interesting...ended up trying out The Lobos Truck. I ordered the baby back ribs (4) and a salted caramel bacon brownie. The ribs surprised me. Very tender and meaty with a sauce that had a delicious tanginess and a kick of heat. I'd have never thought that I'd get baby back ribs this good from a truck. The brownie was good but not great. The flavors were wonderful and me, Mr. Sweet Tooth, appreciated that they put gobs of Ghiradelli caramel sauce on it. But the brownie was a little dry and the bacon was too hard. If the bacon had been more crunchy rather than hard I'd have been pleased. Definitely a truck I'd recommend.

I saw a Groupon for Lobos Truck the other day and I had to buy it. It was $13 for 2 entrees and 2 drinks! What a steal! They stop by in front of my work building every now and then so it was pretty convenient for me to check them out. The Chinook: 1/3 lb. American-Kobe beef burger with garlic aioli, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato on a fresh Brioche bun. The burger was nothing special - just average. It was cooked medium rare as requested and it was well seasoned. OG Wachos: With everything. What are Wachos you ask? Waffle Fries + Nacho Toppings = Wachos. Came with Avocado, Cheese, Onions, and much more. It was amazing. The waffle fries were crisp and flavorful and it went well with all the toppings. I wish there was some heat to it though! Green Dragon Wachos: Waffle fries with Green Dragon Sauce, Guacamole, Scallions & Ranch. The Green Dragon Sauce had that kick I wanted in the OG Wachos! Pretty good as well. My coworkers that tagged along with the Groupon deal also enjoyed the food! Will come back if I see more Groupon deals.

This food truck was a godsend that came to UCLA Powell Library during finals week. I came out of my 24/7 finals grind at the library with high anticipation for a great burger from this truck. I wasn't let down. The line was a little long just because there were many similar-minded students there. Me and my friend looked at the menu and we found it to be, well, let's just say food-truck-priced. However, I happened to find a groupon on this truck. And you get an amazing deal for half the price! 2 entrees and 2 drinks for essentially a little over the price of 1 entree and a drink. The groupon deal made the whole meal worth it. However, without the groupon, I don't think I would come here again. I ordered the chinook burger, a burger with american-kobe beef and a brioche bun. Those sound great in concept, but the execution was a little spotty. When I ordered with the groupon, the lady at the cash register was actually really nice about it and said of course I could use it and continued to help me order with the utmost kindness. They had run out of a few things though because it was so late at night (around 12). My chinook burger was made exactly how I felt like it could have been made. However, the patty didn't have much flavor, and the brioche bun was exactly as sweet as you can imagine. That just ended up overpowering the relatively bland patty and the rest of the burger. Every bite, I just felt like I was eating a brioche bun, with some other stuff inbetween. I enjoyed it, but probably because I was really hungry during finals. Seems like there are quality ingredients, but the flavor of the burger is a little lost. Next time I might try the wachos.

Excellent service by Winona:) Makes the long lunch line kind of worth it when you get that level of friendly welcome and service! Compliments to the chef, Jacob, too! First food truck in a very long time that puts a beautiful dish together in a paper tray. Loaded and delicious. Had the buff wachos. Whoever invented that one is, well, greatness. Thanks for leaving me happy after my visit and especially after my lunch!

Tried this place out last month. I was really excited to try one of the wachos I saw on the website, but was informed they couldn't make it in the truck because they didn't have all the ingredients. They were super helpful, and did their best to give me a dish similar to the one I was looking for. I also go the big bad lobo which was a burger served on waffle buns. They give you huge portions so plan on sharing your meal with a few people.

Waffle fries without toppings and BBQ chicken wings - pretty good

Five stars for their customer service from the owner and chef Queso! The owner Jasmine W. reached out to me after my experience and offered me a refund and a free meal. I was able to redeem it at one of their trucks that was located near USC. I was greeted by Queso, who is the sous chef for the Lobos Truck. He was kind enough to take all my requests for no toppings on the waffles fries except green onions. As a result, my waffle fries stayed crisp, crunchy and were seasoned well, which gave them great flavor and texture without the overload of toppings. I also had barbecue wings which were great, but still pretty standard. However, they were out of Hubert's Lemonade again, so I was not able to redeem my drink. The customer service I received this time definitely made up for the bad experience I had the first time visiting the Lobos truck. The food is still pretty standard for me, but they are very accommodating and strive to make sure that all their customers are happy!

Just had the Wachos N' Wings and I gotta say I'm beyond impressed! The Wachos was like a delicious carb fest party in my mouth with rich flavored I've never had on similar fees. The Wings "dragon" we're a bit spicy but well balanced flavor smothered on a crunchy wing. If you get a chance to dine on this unique food truck I suggest you get the Wacho N' Wings. You'll thank me later. *wink

My bf tracked this bad boy down for daysss- esp after he had a taste of their fried goodness at chinatown summer nights. I got a wake up call from him, eagerly telling me that the food truck is in dtla. He pretty much demanded me to get ready so we can pig out. I value my sleep but since he sounded sooo enthusiastic, i drag myself to get ready It was a mission finding this thang. We google mapped the location but we kept getting lost! He eventually called the # on yelp asking for help. Turns out, they were in a massive parking lot by the AA warehouse. After searching desperately for parking, I was honestly fed up with this food mission. When we arrived at the truck, I was so bitter that I didn't order anything. I told my bf I was uninterested in the menu. Being the smart man he is, he ordered enough food for two. When we got into the car, I was soo hungry, I decided to try the wachos he ordered. It. Was. Amazing. I ended up grabbing more and more and shoving it into my mouth. Before I knew it, I almost finished more than half of it and had to force myself to stop to share with my bf My mood was instantly lifted from the food. He also ordered chicken wings with diablo sauce? Idk what its called but the man warned us and said "good luck" to us because it was fire-y. Indeed it was. My TONGUE burned for 15 mins after 1 damn wing! My bf was fine but I stuck watermelon in my mouth to ease the burn I overall really enjoyed their food. It's honestly really really fried and unhealthy but it makes for a good cheat meal :)

It looks good; but it has absolutely zero flavor. A huge disappointment. The Little Nook.
    Christina F.

I've tried them twice now, and every time was a disappointment. It's a pity, because their burgers look gorgeous, but they're flavorless. Both the Chinook and the Little Nook were unseasoned and overpriced. I don't mind paying $10 or $6 respectively if the food is good; but it wasn't. You'll find tastier burgers at a fast food joint. Ok, so the owner contacted me and wanted to offer a refund, which is great, but then never got back to me. Why bother contacting me in the first place? This isn't the only person that they've done this to either. I'm not upset, but frankly the good customer service that then fizzled out is head scratching. I'm posting a picture of the beautiful, but tasteless burger I had next in addition to this updated review. So sad. I might have given them another chance if they followed through with their offer, because I see them at my high school every year, but I'm staying away.

Didn't taste much of the kimchi but the Kogi sauce was sweet and packed with delicious flavor! Char Siu Blackjack Quesadilla ($24) consisted of cha siu pork with cilantro onion lime relish and cheese. The quesadilla was so cheesy and the cha siu was packed with flavor. It was roasted to perfection and tasted so amazing! Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the Collab even though it was slightly pricey.
