If I could give zero stars I would. Do not under any circumstances get insurance from Brian Chambers!!!!!!! I was quoted one price by an agent and signed the contract. then a month later when my second payment was due the price went up $80. It was impossible to get a hold of anyone at the office who could help me and when Brian Chambers finally called me he was useless, said there was nothing he could do and I could cancel my policy if I wanted. He said sometimes the computer messes up and State Farm's technology is dated. Such a huge waste of my time. I asked them to honor my original price for just 6 months and they wouldn't. Zero stars I would like to preface this review but stating I am sure like many of you when you audit reviews you account for perfect ratings being bought and the most negative ratings being an angry customer venting. I am purely sharing my experience with this agency so you can make an informed decision about where you take your business. For context we are two mid 40's drivers, no tickets, no accidents. We were carrying multiple policies (2 vehicles and home owners). We do not price shop insurances, bouncing around. We have carried these policies for multiple years with this agency. We chose a west Seattle agency because we reside in west Seattle. We have high credit scores. These are all important factors. We were just given a call that myself and the vehicle I drive would be dropped from our coverage. So here is the story of why I was dropped: I had to make a claim with State farm because while I was getting gas, a woman exited the convenience store jumped into her car and reversed into me. I was outside my car because I was pumping gas. She asked to make repairs off insurance. This made me very uncomfortable. We exchanged info and I made a claim to get my car fixed. Very cut and dry. At a gas station, not in my car, all on video. I had the misfortune approximately a month later of being rear ended. I was in stop and go traffic exiting off of I90 onto Highway 18. Anyone familiar with that drive knows you roll for miles before you can turn onto 18. So thats what I was doing, rolling for miles. For some reason, the driver behind me decided he wasn't going to stop and crashed right into me. I had my brake fully applied and had appropriate space between myself and the driver in front of me. So I did not bounce into them. We exchanged info, the driver apologized and I went home. I contacted his insurance directly but could not get a hold of anyone so I reached out to state farm. I was told it was best to go directly through his insurance so that I would not have to pay my deductible. However I asked them to proceed since no one would return my call at his insurance company. I paid two separate deductibles and was told that after they sorted the claims if I was not at fault I would get my deductibles reimbursed. I went to the shop they preferred. I did not claim my rental car reimbursement and I made no medical claims on either accident. The vehicle was repaired and I was eventually reimbursed both deductibles. I was then dropped by my insurance. They were very "polite" and blamed it on underwriting. So I looked into underwriting. This is an example for context not my particular situation. Just "3" claims is a lot of activity on a policy. I understand that something may "technically" not your fault, but when you see households racking up 3, 4 or 5 "non"fault" accidents something about their driving style is contributing this. I can drive down the street hitting my brakes randomly and someone will eventually run into me and it would not be "my fault," but my driving style did contribute to the accident. Insurance company know what the norm is and when you venture outside of that it is not financially smart to keep you as a policy holder. Be happy they covered those accidents and move on to a new company. Try to look at your own driving habits and style and see how that can be altered. People are hit by others and it really is "not-at-fault," but it reaches a point when enough is enough and they will set you free. That is a very fair assessment. Absolutely bad luck happens but absolutely you might also be a part of the problem. Apparently according to this agency I should have predicted while I was pumping gas someone would reverse into me. Perhaps I should have jumped in front of my car. And apparently even though I had been rolling for miles stopping and going. I should have predicted the gentleman behind me was not going to stop. Perhaps swerved into the construction barrier? And lets not forget that I didn't cause an accident in front of me. But I guess underwriting does not factor in that "preventive" driving. Do not waste time or money building "customer loyalty" here. It does not exist. More importantly, anyone who does do business with these guys and if you have had two no fault claims and were not dropped I would love to talk with you. Started using State Farm 6 or 7 years ago and now use them for my house, cars, life insurance, and earthquake insurance. Jessica D is incredible... she responds to emails within minutes. "Hey Jessica, can you send me a copy of my auto insurance card?" Boom, I have it in minutes. "Hey Jessica, what is earthquake insurance and should i get it?" Boom, minutes later I'm on the phone with her and she's walking me through it, and following up immediately with an email outlining everything. I spoke with someone named Laura and they said they looked at a police report saying I was accused of vehicular assault. I tried to object but they swore they were correct regardless of the court's final ruling and the President of Transtech's expert statement saying the fender bender occurred at 5MPH. Some info you can't get if you just look at the accusations ignoring the complete due process of law and using ignorance as a business practice. I offered that Laura speak directly with the prosecutor or my lawyer to clear up her ignorance and she said wait 6 months to do so. Well this is the real world Laura, to add insult to injury you blocked me off false grounds and told me to wait for that attitude for 6 months. I told my mom to drop her policy with y'all and I will tell my many friends on Facebook to do the same and everyone I ever encounter. y'all are just plane awful! read more

Being new to Seattle, I switched from the caveman crap to State Farm a month ago and I haven't been happier!! I saved a lot of money and my stress levels are lower thanks to this place. Frank helped me set up my car insurance and renter's insurance and it was painless and actually a nice experience. He is so helpful and friendly and I actually enjoy stopping in here rather than calling over the phone. A few days ago, I dropped my wallet outside of a gas station in Oregon. I've been a customer at this location since 2007 and couldn't be more pleased with the staff. They are always extremely helpful, kind and patient. They have helped me save money on my policies since the day I signed up and answer all my knit picky details. A couple years ago when my house was broken into, they took no time at all to start renters insurance claim and get me my money back for the items that were stolen. Don't go with brian chamber's agency. I was a long term policy holder with no tickets or accidents. I've always been able to get the lowest insurance rates possible. I left state farm after multiple years when I experienced car troubles and was no longer using the vehicle. Despite my perfect driving record and long term commitment to them, aparently my insurance rates have doubled? Not only that, state farm won't even offer me car insurance. The best insurance agency I have ever worked with, and over the years, I seem to have worked with quite a few. I used to think Geico was easiest, but what I have realized in the long term, is that this particular agency at State Farm, knows me by name, treats me like a person, not a number, and really actually takes the time to stay in touch, get me the best rates, and I know they personally handle my account. At the end of the day, when the price is right, you want to have the best agent on your side should you need one. We had to switch insurance companies when we moved across the country, and after reading some Yelp reviews we settled on Brian. We worked with Ryan Doherty. He got us a competitive quote compared to what we could find elsewhere, and got our cards to us fast. My only complaint is that the next steps weren't always clear and had to be coaxed out with questions in a separate email every time. Why on earth would I rate an insurance company five stars you ask, let me tell you. In the ten years I've been with State Farm, and Brian's office, I've never had anything but excellent service including when I needed a claim for a water leak. They help answer questions via email and phone and never push additional insurance products on you. They are fair priced and automatically let you know what discounts you are entitled to. They do periodic reviews to see if you qualify for anything additional and always make sure you have the coverage you need. I recently worked with Karen, she help me update my payment information and the entire phone call lasted less than two minutes. Which with a toddler, phone calls are my absolute least favorite thing. I've worked with several people in the office there and they all pitch in and help it doesn't matter who your actual agent is. They work as a true team to provide excellent speedy service. read more

I've dealt with three different staff members in Brian's office - none of whom were Brian himself - since we transferred our policies to him in March of this year. When I finally had the chance to speak to Brian at a meeting with him a few weeks ago, he seemed surprised I was there, and treated my husband as though he were the one making all of the financial decisions for our household, even though several of our policies are in my name only, and even though I had been the only one to communicate with his office regarding our policies. I felt incredibly disrespected. Brian makes a good chunk of change off our policies, and for him to treat me as though I'm not the, or even a, primary decision maker regarding our policies is absolutely unacceptable. read more
