I called Austin 3D Dental first thing and was grateful they were able to fit me into their schedule and quickly identify the source of the problem. The visit began with a full-mouth 3D scan, followed by several individual X-rays. The culprit turned out to be pesky tooth #19. Dr. Mark Cantu prescribed antibiotics to treat the infection and referred me to an endodontist for a root canal. The antibiotics provided almost immediate relief. While I've never been a fan of root canals, I'll gladly welcome one if it means putting an end to this pain once and for all. The entire team at Austin 3-D Dental made what could have been a stressful experience much easier. The staff was friendly, patient, and even helped me complete my medical information on the office laptop. Dr. Mark Cantu introduced himself, listened carefully to my concerns, and immediately focused on diagnosing the problem. His calm, professional approach gave me confidence that I was in good hands. No one looks forward to a dental emergency, but when one happens, it's reassuring to have a caring, efficient team that can provide answers and relief. My experience at Austin 3-D Dental was great, and I'm thankful they helped get me on the road to my dental recovery.

After months of waiting and revisits to ensure my implants didn't fail, I was given as a patient to Dr. Chen to place my implant bridge. The bridge itself was bulky and didn't fit comfortably. The entire process cost me $4300 after insurance. Dr.Chen was extremely negative everytime I saw her. My unhappiness with how the bridge fit into my mouth and the size of the bridge in comparison to the teeth surrounding it seemed to bother her. She attempted to shave the bridge down while I sat in the chair. It was still not to my satisfaction. She gaslit me into feeling as though it was my fault, not hers or their lab. This was an almost year long process. I have anxiety about dentist offices and this they knew. Dr. Chen refused to make it right, do her job or give great customers service as Dr.Ho had on several occasions. I paid in full, in cash same day. Weeks later after she bullied me into the placing the bridge although I wasn't happy with it, a portion of it became loose. I went back in and was subjected to her huffing and puffing asking how I'd cracked the bridge. I was confused on why I was being blamed. I told her from the beginning that the bridge was I uncomfortable. She complained about having to take it out. I set up appointments with other dentist at both the Austin location and Georgetown location after my bridge was placed. I just learned to deal with the bad placement and the bulky construction of it over time. Dr.Chen had at this point consistently showcased her inability to conduct herself in a professional manner. Id simply come in to start a full mouth restoration not be bullied and gaslit into thinking I was the problem. I was willing to pay the money to have it done step by step and this was the 1st. Dr.Chen ruined this process for me. I thought I'd finally found a dental office that would help me restore my confidence and smile. I was terribly wrong. She's a horrible dentist and lacks the skills to properly do her job. She also lacks the emotional intelligence to conduct herself in a calming manner when dealing with her own frustrations. She projected those frustrations onto me multiple times which gave me anxiety every time I saw her. I gave up at that point on trying to get what I was rightfully owed. Fast forward to now June 2025. I call the office because my bridge has come out with one abundant. I request to see Dr.Ho because I'm not sure what's going on and what exactly came out. I'm told I have to see Dr.Chen. I explain that id rather see Dr.Ho. He was excellent. He was patient. He understood my anxiety. Great dentist. I'm still forced to schedule with Dr.Chen. I reluctantly accept. Today is the appointment and I get a call at 8:30 from her scheduler. He explains nervously that Dr.Chen had cancelled my appointment due to my dissatisfaction of her work previously. Again she takes no accountability for her actions or her lack of competence in the line of work she chose to do. My implants are not failing but the abundant wasn't placed correctly obviously. I didn't call the office with entitlement. I simply wanted Dr.Ho to take a look at what was going on. Thankfully I am in no pain thanks to his impeccable work with my extractions and implants. Dr.Chen is 100% the problem and the fact that she hasn't and didn't attempt to rectify her mistake speaks volumes to her professional character.

I wish I had understood the fragility of the bonding before I signed up for my son to get bonding but that's partially on me for not asking the right questions. Several weeks ago, I called and spoke to the receptionist (?) regarding an urgent care referral I received for a crown replacement (a crown Dr. Carr had installed six-ish months ago). I asked quite a few questions and described the issues I was experiencing because I wanted to know whether the dentist thought a crown replacement was a good and correct solution. I stated this specifically, YET I was assured my questions and concerns would be addressed on the day of the procedure. Fast forward a couple of weeks later ("urgent" care is not so urgent in a 4 day per week dental office) and, once I was able to pose my questions and issues to the dentist, I was referred to another endodontist to check for a specific issue the dentist thought might be causing the problem (I had already had two root canals IN THE SAME TOOTH elsewhere). The gist? The receptionist was wrong and my time was needlessly wasted. On the same day, as I left for the endodontist, I was told I would be contacted on Monday regarding the results. When I had heard nothing by Wednesday (now giving a whole new meaning to both "urgent" and "care"), I called and the receptionist informed me that "everything was fine," and that I should reschedule the crown replacement again. When I probed for more information (to understand what specifically was being looked for when I was referred out) I was met with misinformation, resistance, and disdain. Far be it from me to actually want to receive clarity and understanding in relation to an issue that I've been plagued with for well over a year. An issue related specifically to the crown this office/dentist installed. An issue that four dental appointments and four endodontist appointments (and 2 root canals) had not resolved. But, SURE, as a patient in pain, why shouldn't I also have to deal with a rude receptionist with a superiority complex? Makes perfect (non)sense. Anyhoo...she curtly ended our conversation with "someone will call you." Now, as I write this review weeks later (as I not longer fear poor service and/or retaliatory billing), did anyone ever call? You guess it: NO. small, but supportive quibbles: Don't expect anyone to answer the phone during lunch hour. Expect to hear staff gabbing/laughing while not checking you in--or acknowledging you in any way--during the same period of time. (I called a couple minutes prior to my appointment to let them know I might be a few minutes late due to an accident, but no one answered the phone. When I arrived, a couple of minutes after the hour, no one was behind the desk and several people were already waiting.) BOTTOM LINE: We all deserve kind, compassionate, professional, and comprehensive care from dentists AND their staff. Based on my experience, you won't receive such care from this dental team. Based on this office's limited days and hours, you also are much less likely to receive truly urgent care when/if needed. AVOID.

Dr. Pevzner recently took over our longtime dentist, Dr. Greg Edson's, office. Greg passed away…read morethis year and we were sorry to lose him. I understand he picked Dr. Pevzner to take over much like Dr. Edson's predecessor, Dr. Dave Jackson picked Dr. Edson. That worked for us last time as I wanted a conservative dentist who is interested in preserving what we have versus replacing too quickly. Before finding this office I had a dentist who told me I needed a number of crowns. Well 35 years later I am scheduled to get the last of those crowns. Most I didn't need for 10+ years! So I want a dentist who takes care of patients needs first over filing their coffers. I'm hoping Dr. Jackson chose Dr. Pevzner with this in mind. I have had my teeth cleaned and a cavity was found under a filling. I had it filled by Dr. Pevzner. It was the most painless - yes PAINLESS- procedure I've ever had. It seems like there is always some pain with the injection at least THERE WAS NONE! I didn't even know they did the injection! The doctor was concerned about how close the cavity was to the nerve..aughhhhh root canal possibility! He took it slow and easy and that was avoided. My tooth is filled and my bite is nice. I think this new doctor for me is going to work out!
