If someone is unprofessional with you, by all means, make it known. However, I feel it responsible to actually put some things into perspective for the "angry" homeowners. When we purchase or rent a home in Covenant Controlled Communities we do so with the knowledge that there are Rules and Regulations that need to be adhered to. These "CCR's" are disclosed and posted for all homeowners and should be provided to renters by the owners of the property. Vision is a management company that has been hired by the Homeowners in your community to manage the Community Property and to enforce those CCR's. They DO NOT make the rules, they are only paid to enforce them. When violations are made, they have an obligation to the Homeowners to make sure violations are corrected in a timely manner. That being said, we all get busy. Sometimes we neglect our yards/homes...and sometimes we get notices to correct violations. Most letters are simply friendly reminders of the rules. The best way to respond is to simply take care of the violation quickly and quietly, and if necessary email the Management company to notify them the issue has been corrected. I started attending Board Meetings and getting involved in my community. I eventually ran for a seat on the Board for our HOA and soon realized how much the Management Company does, and often times for very little compensation. The dues paid for your HOA don't go directly to the pockets of these Management Companies....look at your Communities Income Statements...this will show Landscaping, Utilities, Improvements etc. Get involved, go to meetings, get to know your neighbors, look for ways to help make things better.
