So I feel like I just got screwed by Umbria or Novo or whatever they're called!! I ordered a large pizza with three toppings to be delivered and it was almost $34!! I called up they have no idea what my order was because I did it online and they can't see it and next time I should order by phone when their brochures specifically says, please order online!! My favorite of the two was the mac & cheese, which says A LOT because usually mac & cheese pizza is pretty flavorless on pizza, in my opinion. The pizza was so cheesy and full of flavor. If I could leave a ZERO, I would! Worst pizza ever!! This was a treasure we found when I was diagnosed with celiac a few years ago and would splurge to have good gluten free pizza. However, the quality has continually plummeted and this last visit was the bottom of the barrel. They have changed their gf crust and while the crust was subpar, it was the lack of toppings that made the pizza terrible. Hardly any sauce and barely a sprinkle of cheese with requested toppings. Each pie was around $20 and we ordered two. So for $40, this was a scam!! We had to add our own marinara and cheese at home to make it edible. Never again, Umbria. I was very excited to try this place as my coworker shared it with me. They were running a special for $5 a slice of pizza, Cesar salad and a soda. It was later in the day so they had to make the slice separately. I was absolutely amazed when I saw them start to make my pizza and salad with their bare hands. Above average in terms of most pizza options in the area, but when comparing to other more popular locations further north I'd probably dock it a star. For what it's worth, I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here though. We ordered the Italian wings (so good!) with ranch and a large Sicilian Classic pizza and the guy taking our order was super friendly & accommodating as he also brought us our food. You pay beforehand up front and aren't actually waited upon, but at least they bring it out to you and whatever you want to go with it. While not necessarily homemade/scratch/handtossed, it's a very good, crispy, pan-style crust. The sauce is a consistency I prefer, where it's not overwhelming and there is more focus on the actual toppings and cheese. The sweet italian sausage is the best! read more

Convenient location right in Bloomington and the service is great. You walk up and order, but they bring it out to you once it's ready. It's freshly made and piping hot. Large menu with many different selections to choose from like gyro, Thai chicken, Mac n cheese pizza, salads, and calzones. We ordered the Sicilian classic and Italian wings which both were great. I loved the Italian wings with ranch! The inside of the restaurant is cute with quite a bit of seating options, and they also have outdoor seating. I called my Sister and told her that her pizza would be there at 5 PM. She was surprised and happy. I called her the next day to see how the pizza was and she said "It was Damn Good" she also said that she all but 2 slices of her medium pizza and had the 2 slices for breakfast. I know that in 2 weeks I will be ordering her another pizza from here as they treated me nicely on the telephone and they treated my Sister nice which is very important to me. I know as long as she can eat pizza I will buy her a pie. I am low income but when it comes to my sister to buy her 2 pies a month from here and she is happy I am happy. So gross. The person answering the phone was also the driver and identified himself as the store manager. I asked for a return call from the owner tomorrow. This is not ok to take $64 and not being edible food. Doesn't help to give a credit back as this was a crest from Sun Country. We are going to bed hungry after a very long day and another early flight tomorrow. The driver said he made this food then closed down the kitchen and then delivered to us. He then made his way home to Burnsville. When I called, he's giving excuses of how much time it will take to drive to Minneapolis to remake the food. He's giving an hour or more to wait on him. I had the Extra Lager #9 with my pizza. We ordered 2 medium pizzas and an Athens salad. With two beers it was about 48 bucks. So kind of a pricey place. The salad came out first and could easily feed two people and the dressing was wonderful. Lots of olives and Feta and red onions. Just Perfect. I got a medium cheeseless pizza with gyro meat (Awesome option) and chicken breast. My wife got a medium cheeseless pizza with spinach and broccoli. We both loved them! Crispy crust, tangy, yet a little spicy sauce and the gyro meat was fantastic. The service was great too. Way too pricey to go without a Groupon, but I think the have a weekday buffet. The flavors in the tropical chicken was great, and I know pineapple on pizza is a controversial topic but I can tell you it definitely belongs on this pizza as it's a nice contrast with the buffalo chicken. The Sicilian is jammed pack with meats that are well seasoned and have great flavors! Another underrated aspect of these pizzas is the crust. They're light and airy, but yet they have structure to hold up and provide a nice crisp that I desire in a pizza. They generally have some by-the-slice pizza available, but you should really just order a fresh pizza. Get a personal-sized one made fresh. There isn't much in the way of atmosphere, and the seating could be more comfortable. Most of what I've had that wasn't pizza was just okay, but some of it was better than okay. For a pizza joint, this is nothing to sing home about. It has good pizza and fun combinations but I'm not crazy about their crust or sauce. The regular crust is greasy and doesn't have much flavor and their thin crust get really crispy on the edge but soft in the middle. For me, I can get over an average crust if you have a killer sauce but, Umbria's sauce is just a standard pizza sauce. Nothing special or exciting which overall doesn't make their high pizza price worth it. However, my husband can't get enough of their pizza so it might just be me. First off I hate to give this place a 1 star. This is the second time I have ordered from here but the 1st time I placed and delivery order. As seen in the screen shot I ordered two build it yourself pizzas a sausage and a pepperoni. I also ordered Italian bone in wings... And a gyro and hummus platter. Well over a hour later the delivery guy calls and and tells me he is outside. I go out and seen that he is at the other end of my building. I wave to him and he walks over to my unit. He pulls a large box out and 2 small boxes and hands them to me. I ask him... "Isn't there another large pizza?" He pauses and then reaches in the hot bag and pulls out a larger large box and says "Oh yeah, the take n bake!" I'm like what?? I tell him I didn't order a take n bake pizza. He tells me I did. He and I go back n forth about it. He blows me off and says see he shows me some words on his phone and says "Yeah you had a weird special order" I'm looking at him like HOW does that make any sense. Order everything cooked then order a raw pizza? He just walks off. I call the number on the website for the place like minutes after he left...and guess who answers the call? I ask to speak to a manager. Once i recognize his voice i ask is he the person that delivered my pizza he said no..... I said are you sure... He then says yes. I asked for the manager.. He says he is the manager. I ask for ANYONE else he hangs up on me. Oh ok. Well he fails to remember I am like 4 blocks away from the place. So I drive down there. I walk in and there is only one other customer in the place and 3 employees that i could see. I walk up and say "Hey, I think we got disconnected." His eyes get big and he says "Uh.. Yeah yeah. I got really busy, really busy i had to go." Ok. So you hang up on a customer. Hmm. I bring my phone and show him HIS website under orders and show him my order where there is no take n bake. He denys it all...even though it's right there. So instead of arguing I ask "So what can be done?" He said "I'm really busy" I said could you just make another one... He gets angry and says well go bring the other one back. You want me to drive back home grab it.. Bring it back to you and then wait for another? He says "FINE!! I'll make another... I'm so busy!!" At this point I feel I have to watch you make the food. And sure enough I seen him slamming the toppings on my pizza and then he takes the pizza around the corner out of site. Nope..... Not cool. You are angry and do something to that pizza. So I walked out. He can eat that abused pizza. I got home and called another umbria location and asked for a higher ups info. She called over to the bloomington store and told me the mgrs name and that he us not there right now. There is only a supervisor. I thanked the employee and hung up. I am a regular customer. I am a big fan of their Supremio and Powerhouse Pizzas and their Gyro Sandwiches. But this review is about their delivery service. I usually have my orders delivered, but earlier this Summer I dropped into their shop and ordered 2 of their Gyros. I had several other errands to run in the same shopping center, and so I told them that I would be back in a couple of hours to pick it up on my way home. Consumed by list of errands, I completely forgot to pick up my order. Later that night, about 9:30, my apartment buzzer rang. They delivered the order that I had forgotten earlier in the day. They could have simply have forgotten, they could have consumed my order, and I would have not have known the difference, because I had forgotten all about it. This place was recommended to us by an employee at the hotel we were staying in, which goes to show you , you can't trust everyone's judgement on what good food is!! We ordered 3 pizzas cheese (because there are kids) Mac and cheese, as well as a Ranchero Chicken. The crust was super soggy and nearly inedible, which I attributed to the deliver. However, the other 2 didn't have soggy crust! I am stunned, Mac and cheese pizza is a fav of mine and never in my time have I ever had marinara sauce on a Mac and cheese pizza? I live in Uptown, I wish I lived closer so I could takeout more often but it's definetely worth the 15 min drive for me! My friend and I took the kids to the Works Museum in Bloomington. We were under the impression they had food, however, we ended up taking a walk across the street and tried this place. We had two little one 18 months and 4 years. We were greeted right at the door. It is a casual order type of place. Put in the order at the counter, pay and then have a seat for it to be delivered. It was not too hard to tell how hot it was outside. He offered us a water/beverage right away and gave a menu to sit down. It was a nice touch. Having kids that small and negotiating strollers, hungry kids, tired adults, it was very helpful. My friend and I both got the Gyro sandwich while we got the kids cheese pizza. It took less than 8 minutes and the pizza for the children was at the table. I mean, really, this guy must have a few kids of his own. He was catering to every need we had being there with kids! My guest and I both agreed that this gyro was probably one of the best we both had ever tried. Everything was very fresh and seasoned well. I did manage to sneak a small bit of the cheese pizza just for taste. The tomato based sauce was very tasty. I would have to say, the next time I am in the area, I would highly consider returning.
