My friend and I were staying at a nearby Airbnb and he chose Brian's Landing. (I would strongly suggest making a reservation on a Saturday night). We had a short wait at the bar and met another couple who we ended up seated next to. Laura was our server and she was OUTSTANDING! We had such a tough time deciding, it literally came to a coin toss. We chose the fried Brussel Sprouts, which we'd heard so much about and the burger, served with homemade chips. There was never a time when this place was not busy and everyone was on their game. The ambiance was wonderful and the food came out very quickly. The sprouts were served in a black, cast iron pan with pork belly and an amazing glaze and that burger was to die for! Went here for the first time for a brunch service. The server was spectacular, very attentive. They boxed up our food and checked on everything. It was a nice comfortable feel indoors with a cute outdoor patio. There were two steps to the dining area so it was a bit difficult for my parents to navigate with limited mobility, but doable. The food tasted really good. The only improvement would be to make the yolk more runny on the eggs benedict and the potatoes were SUPER crispy. They could have cooked a touch less but all in all very tasty and good portions. The potato cake on the benny was crispy on the outside and creamy inside. The dijon on the croque sandwich was the perfect sharpness to cut through the rich cheese and bechamel. The carmelized cook on the breakfast skillet veggies was nice, and the bacon was perfect. We went for dinner on Valentine's Day and had such an amazing experience! We made reservations ahead of time and were seated right away -- no wait at all. The restaurant was beautifully set up for the holiday, with a great atmosphere and a thoughtfully curated drink menu. I ordered the Toxic Ex-presso Martini, and WOW -- it was incredible. Absolutely one of the best espresso martinis I've had. For appetizers, we got the Thai chili tossed Brussels sprouts with garlic aioli, and they were to die for. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and flavorful -- honestly, I could've just eaten that and been happy! For dinner, I had the Chicken Française, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My husband ordered the fish and chips and said the tartar sauce was some of the best he's ever had. My son got the shrimp tacos topped with pineapple pico and served with homemade chips -- sooo good! We ended the night with dessert (because how could we not?): a layered brownie and cookie dough cake and a maple crème brûlée. Both were phenomenal and the perfect sweet ending. We came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday and we are so happy we did! It was packed around 12, but we only had to wait about 20 min for our table. There was live music by a beautiful singer, who played the entire 2 hrs we were there and was perfection for the ambience. As for the food... OH MY, it was so delicious! We arrived at 9:45 and waited in line till opening it was a full house on Mother's Day we put our name in and told it was a 45 minute wait found a spot at the bar and enjoyed out customized bloody Mary's and ManMosa (Orange juice, vodka, and champagne). I really like the way the hostesses were able to not overwhelm the servers by seating all their sections at once we were sat in about 30 minutes and drinks and food flowed in a very timely manner. Our server was great we tried the monkey bread and Brussels as an appetizer and there was so much food the 5 of us did not make a dent in it. Three of us chose the eggs Benedict, which came on a smashed potato patty, very filling and flavorful. One of our diners had the boozy French toast, and the smash burger! Everyone loves their meal. For such a small place, we were worried when the entertainment started, but the tone was perfect. He played at a perfect sound level and was fabulous! don't let the lines out the door scare you away. Been to Brian's Landing twice now. Once in the evening and once around noon. The food is pretty good, service is better when they are busy. When I went around noon no one was at the door to greet costumers. I waited with my party for several minutes until I went to look for someone. Once I found them things were fine. They had live music in the bar area which was nice. For food: We ordered an espresso martini flight which was good. We got the breakfast poutine which was yummy and filling. We both ordered burgers and they were $20 for Burger King quality- also we ordered beers but they didn't come until we were half done with our meals. The waitress Joanna was abysmally rude to us and literally walked away from me while I was in the middle of ordering. She checked on us once and seemed in a hurry to turn the table even though it was Thursday at 6 pm and there were only 3 other tables being occupied in our section. I dined here on a Sunday for brunch (they only serve brunch on Sunday's). They offer a nice size menu with many options starting from appetizers, salads, main entrées and desserts to choose from. They also have a full bar (mimosas galore). We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, as well as their mimosa flights (such a great concept). Drinks and appetizers came out quickly, which was soon followed with the main entrees. My favorite item was the candy pig. My lord, this was truly the best "bacon" I have ever eaten. One of the best places in the area!! Food is always delicious and made to order. They have daily specials and certain offers depending on the day. Last night was burger and brew night. They offer brunch on Sundays. There is live music on the weekends as well. During the nice weather they have a patio for outdoor seating. It's very cozy inside for when it cools off. Tonight we sat at the bar and had many lively concoctions. Amongst our favorites: Death by Chocolate, Espresso Martini, and a Straight Martini. All wonderful. We had the new Lobster Croquette appetizer to start, and the 2 specials(Curried Pork Shank and Swordfish), finishing up with homemade desserts of Key Lime Pie and Cheescake.
