Unprofessional, terrible customer and unorganized . That's all I can say about this company. They scheduled a date with us to drain the pool. We took a day off from work to wait for them at home . Around noon, they called to reschedule another date. They said due to bad weather, they can not drain the pool. If their business is based on weather conditions, you would think they would check the weather ahead of time? They could have cancel us a day before so we didn't have to take a day off from work. At that point, we didn't feel comfortable to continue to do business with them. We had a feeling this company is unorganized. We emailed Rusty to cancel the contract. He replied back and said one word "OK". Two days later, their workers knocked on our door. They came without any notices. They said they came to drain the pool. 2 1/2 years ago at the beginning of covid 19 Brian started our 45 year old pool remodel which included re-plastering, new equipment, and pavers. When Brian's crew removed the old plaster, they discovered that my pool was completely cracked at the shallow to deep end transition. That completely stopped the project and I got several other quotes to repair the structural damage or possibly completely fill in and remove the pool. The other quotes I got were expensive and not guaranteed. Some contractors refused to quote the job when they saw how bad the crack was. Brian hated to give us the bad news but it was obvious that it needed to be repaired or filled in. Brian provided a comprehensive structural repair quote that he guaranteed the repair for life. They also uncovered how unsafe the electrical wiring and gas lines were and also needed to be replaced. We decided to move forward and trust Brian. Throughout the permitting process and inspections, he kept us informed during all the covid delays. We ended up getting pebble tech finish with tile, new spa plumbing, intellicenter panel, pump, heater, mini led lights, and new electrical wiring and gas lines, pavers, with drains. Our back yard now looks like a resort thanks to Brian's Pool Plastering. Brian is more than a Plasterer. He is a licensed Pool Builder that knows how to fix bad structural problems in old pools. I recently called the company to report a problem with my spa jets. Brian answered the phone and asked how everything was. I let him know about the problem. He sent out one of his supervisors that fixed the problem by cleaning the filter. Everything is running like new again. I am also using their pool cleaning service which is also excellent. I needed to replace all my tiles around the pool since there are some that have fallen off and more are beginning to peel off. There were also some cracks behind the tiles. I had at least 5 different contractors come out to give me estimates. They were either not willing to take the job unless I will re-plaster the pool or it was very expensive based on my comparisons. I found Brian on Yelp and Rusty came out to give me an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and the price was reasonable. Before they started the job, Brian came out himself and check out the condition of my pool. He told me he can just replace the tiles but in the short run, it will probably fall off and I am out of some hard earned cash. He recommended fixing the cracks and borders around my pool. That way he can also give me the warranty on the tiles. It made a lot of sense so I went ahead and replaced my tiles along with doing the coping around my pool. It was a lot more money out of my pocket but I agree with Brian that it would be best. Brian's team, lead by Hendra, did the job fast, clean and professional. They were on time and kept their words. After the tiles and coping was completed, I had a couple of minor issues that needed to be addressed. Hendra was right on it and follow me up with the process. He was very accommodating. It made me feel like they cared and wanted to please me. Although it wasn't 100% perfect which is tough since it was a fixer not a brand new pool setup, I am happy with the job they have done. BEWARE!!!! I am a Board Member for our 48 home HOA complex. We hired Brian's Pool Plastering in February 2024 to replace our pool coping on our community pool. The initial bid was $27,215.00. After numerous change orders, the total came out to $64,915.00. The project manager, Anthony, was the most incompetent person I've ever worked with and I have construction jobsite experience. Due to the lack of management, it was not completed until 5 months later. In the process, his team cut the electrical power to our NEW inside pool light, removed the light and threw the evidence away and replaced it with a cheap $300 NON WORKING light. This also affected the lights not working in our restrooms. To fix the problem, they hit us with yet another C/O for an additional $4,550! We ended up hiring an outside electrical contractor. In addition, he sold us a chlorinator unit that never functioned properly. Come to find out, we were charged for a complete unit yet only 1/2 of the unit was installed and we paid an additional $1,200 start it up fee. He then said "he would have never installed the unit and we were better off with a "Chlorine tablet dispenser" which he replaced it with but didn't refund the full amount of the Chlorinator unit. A tablet dispenser cost pennies compared to a full unit. It was his project manager, Anthony, that told us we would not pass inspection without it. Funny how Anthony no longer worked for the company towards the end our job. There's so much more to this story, but the bottom line is they will bid low and then hit you with tons of change orders once they have your pool torn up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! read more

Like many homeowners, our family decided to renovate our swimming pool in 2022. After interviewing 6 pool renovation companies, we decided on Brian's Pool Plastering due to their online reviews, straightforward estimate, the number of years they've been in business, and the lifetime warranty. We found their estimate to be right in the middle, with newer unestablished companies coming in lower and some coming in much higher. We decided to add a large Baja shelf, Tahoe Blue w/ abalone mini pebble finish, and new waterline tile. We couldn't be happier with the way our pool turned out. It did take longer than expected and a few surprises like all projects but it was worth the wait. Everyone was professional and courteous. Our pool was an old Anthony's pool from 1976 so we had unforeseen costs. If you have an older pool just be ready to have to repair structural items hidden under the plaster. We did not expect this part of the process. Ours was a worst case scenario and added a significant cost to the total, because Brian's will only repair it the correct way vs a patch job that may or may not last over the the years. For the structural repairs our project manager Jordan encouraged us to get more opinions from other company's. Some opinions and costs where exactly as Jordan had explained while other opinions where just scary. We needed up doing it the right way and reshooting the whole pool do to rebound issues of existing shell. This is a review after Brian's team did the job about 12 years ago. Competitive price. Brian took us to several homes so we could see completed jobs. Full remove and redo of our 49 year old pool. Workers didn't go slow, they worked hard. I supervised the whole thing from start to finish. Brian was flexible as things progressed and I had questions. All paperwork was accurate as he had to buy lots of things. I could see all expenses. He also removed all cement around the pool and laid pavers. Also a new filter and pump. It is STILL GEORGOUS. Pebble tech. Pool was completed on schedule. We were and still are very very happy with the job, 12 years later. Only reason I'm writing this now is I had a question about a very little thing and called. Brian easily answered my question, taking time to be friendly also. Beware of this company. I got 9 bids and they were my 3rd choice. Two other companies were like a year out from starting the job. First, the salesman comes out tells you don't need this or that, so now they are the lowest quote. After permits are granted, the owner comes out and tries to up sell you on all the things the salesman left out. So now they become the most expensive quote. During the demo (dig) they were driving the Bob cat on the edge of the hole and collapse the sides(excavator fault). All the workers were laughing when it happened. They then shore wall it without my permission and then try to give me a 2300 change order. Owner tried telling I had sandy soil. I most certainly do not. I have dirt. Some spots are like clay even. After they finish all the plumbing and electrical conduit, it's time for shotcrete. The project manager tells me they are sending a crew over to clean up a day before they shotcrete the pool. (I wasn't home this day) and instead the crew came over and cut out a bunch of conduit for extra lighting they mistakenly put in. So now , I ask for them to be reinstalled and to give me a bid. They said yes, gave me a qoute of 2200 and I said do it and I signed a change order form. A week later they said they quoted me wrong and it is actually 3400 now. After I signed. I said, nope we had an agreement and they refused to honor it. They said the project manager misquoted you. So at this time we ask to remove the project manager and have a new one out on the job. They new project manager did an okay job. But more problems continued. Coping was installed and a clean up crew came out to get the pool ready for mini pebble. One of the workers crack a piece of coping and there were extra coping on site to replace it. It's has been 18 weeks now and the one piece of coping has yet to be fixed. Some excuses they used, They've sent crews out without coping, they forgot to order it, came out with wrong size coping, then it was wrong color coping. There has been many more issues like these during the project but I just mentioned a few. This company does a poor job of communicating with customers. There motto, "customer is always wrong" I signed the contract in September 2021, and it's now September 2022 and The job is not complete. I'd definitely go elsewhere for a pool installer. I strongly recommend to read the bad reviews before hiring this company. We hired them to refinish the pool which seems to be straight forward job. Their sales person showed up discussed the scope of work but we could tell that he is not technical enough and only a sales person. After we hired them, a project manager showed up after demo to discuss the work items and surprisingly almost everything was different from what sales person sold to us. Their trick is to quote a little bit less than others but when it comes to actual work they raise the price a lot more with all the excuses they can find. You end up paying much more than anyone in the market. for scopes like plumbing and electrical, they are subcontracting to other companies although their sales person advertised everything in house! a two week project, took 3 months with them to finish as their crew disappeared and jumped on other jobs before finishing ours. Working with this company was a terrible experience for us. save yourself time and money, stay away and don't hire them. read more

We just finished our pool remodel with Brian's Pool Plastering. Every team member that we interacted with during the entire project was awesome starting with Rusty who walked us through the entire process in great detail and answered every little question. We also had an amazing Project Manager in Jordan once the project started. We kept us updated and well informed through the entire process. The only part of the project that we weren't thrilled about was the rock painter that Brian hired to re-paint the rocks around the pool. It took a lot of back and forth to get the right color and there were some communication gaps. For the pool, we went with mini pebble (aqua blue) finish and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Brian's Pool Plastering did a great job with our pool remodeling project that included pebble replastering, a new travertine deck and coping, a new travertine retaining wall with 3 sheer descent waterfalls, new waterline tile, new LED lighting, brand new equipment including remote automation, and a complete re-plumbing. We are very happy with the end result, and enjoying our beautiful pool. I almost took away one star due to the many delays to our project but a lot was out of their control due to the pandemic and supply issues. Our project manager also often was not very responsive by text and didn't communicate very well but apparently he was having some health issues. As soon as Brian took over the lead on our project, things went well and Brian would always text me back if I had any questions or issues. While it took more than twice the amount of time of the original estimate (and yes we did add on some extra work), I always had confidence in their work and craftsmanship. And yes, we went over budget but Brian always gave us a choice with options. In the end, they encourage to do it the right way (which is not always the cheapest), but they are willing to work with you and present reasonable alternatives. After completion, we had some small issues with our control panel but Brian sent someone out right away to fix it. We also had them fix some stonework that got damaged while another contractor did some work on our patio - it has been restored by Brian's team beautifully. We had an ugly, crumbly pool straight from the 80s transformed into a a beautiful backyard oasis with colorful LED lights and waterfalls all controlled by an app on my phone. We are very happy with our pool and would recommend Brian's Pool Plastering to anyone considering a new pool or complete remodel. read more

It's not about how many stars you are trying to defend, it's about what you are saying and I would have to agreed with both home owners and the company owner on the reviews I've read. Business is hard, especially when you need to defend a negative review instead of taking ownership and fixing problems. We contracted out our home remodel and the pool plastering needed to be done along with the surround. The surround concrete had been chipped out and we waited on the plaster. After it began, $7k, we were told the concrete under the plaster was not good. Acceptable answer, however, the pool has held water for 30 years without issue and this pool company chipped out too much. They asked for another $6900 to repair it... what? Later, delaying month's, we had to pay an additional $1500 to get them to fix what they did. Don't get me wrong... they know how to plaster pools. But they also know how to do contract work. Chipping away the structure for additional cost to the homeowners. Buyer beware... the pool surround is complete months before the plaster. That's fine, no one worked in that area except for Brian's team. I look at the work on Thursday and they chipped the surround at the steps of the pool. I called the company and was told they would have the manager call me back. .... crickets.... Not recommend. They damaged new concrete, they nickel and dime, they are good at plastering but poor at business relationships. Next stop... the BBB. After 15 years it was time to get my pool re-plastered. Not sure who to trust to do the job, I asked my neighbors and coworkers about their experiences when they re-plastered their pools. Everyone I had spoken to DID NOT recommend the company they used (mostly big name companies) because of the problem(s) they encountered with either the workmanship, quality of the products used, or the extensive timeline to complete the job. Without any trustworthy recommendations, I turned to Yelp and found Brian's Pool Plastering. I based my decision on the high Yelp reviews his company received. I had Brian come out and give me a quote for a minipebble finish (black pebbles accented by blue glass beads) after receiving three quotes from other companies. Brian's quote was fair and he was able to start the job immediately. I am happy to report the project was completed on time and was trouble free.
